Fulham are basically gone.
They’ve only won 4 at home all season.
We win, we go top as City don’t play this weekend and their game in hand is against Utd.
Hendo is out.
Kieta likely to be out.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Lovren start this game as he’s out only back up centreback at the min and probably needs game time. I’d be reluctant to start him.
Perhaps a team such as…
TAA, Matip, VVD, Robbo
Fabinho, Wij, Lallana
Salah, Firmino, Mané
International break after this so hopefully a bit of a break for lads and no new injuries when they’re away.March 15, 2019 at 12:03 pm #1735264

I’d go with that team ginger
I fancy us to win to round off an excellent weekMarch 15, 2019 at 12:18 pm #1735271
I hope we turn up well before 4.15 – it’s a 2.15 KO!
Unless he’s carrying a knock or showing signs of fatigue, I’d leave Matip in with Virgil. He’s done very well lately and must be high on confidence. By all means give Lovren a run out if we’re comfortably ahead.March 15, 2019 at 12:20 pm #1735274
Ha ha my bad.
So it is.March 15, 2019 at 12:29 pm #1735279
All games in the Premiership are tricky, even this one, so we have to try and secure the result as soon as possible and calm down the nerves.
I can see a return for Shaqiri in this one, although whether he starts is another matter. Our full squad should also get a run-out e.g. some of Lallana, Milner, Origi, SturridgeMarch 15, 2019 at 12:41 pm #1735287
I would start Lovren and give him game time. We might need down the home straight (knowing how brittle Matip is too) and a game or two under his belt will help. Would like to see Shaqiri get some game time (just 351 minutes of action this calendar year) and maybe come in for Mo on the right and put Mo up top with Bobby behind and Mane out left. Fabinho and Milner behind.
I agree Ginger, Fulham’s loss at Leicester last week with Cardiff winning surely put them down but it still doesn’t mean they’ve given up although 16 losses in their last 22 league games may suggest otherwise.
We beat them at Anfield in November 2-0 courtesy of goals from Salah and Shaqiri but they were well organized that day and despite their precarious position they still have some quality players on their books.
It’s been just over five years since we last visited Craven Cottage winning 3-2 in the last minute from a Gerrard penalty. Similar scenario that day to this as well where Fulham weren’t winning but made us fight for the three points. Starting XI that day: Mignolet, Flanagan, Toure, Skrtel, Cissokho, Gerrard, Coutinho, Henderson, Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling.
Not expecting a push over but expecting a win. My only concern is a CL hangover but we haven’t lost this season following a CL game. 2-0 for us and Mo on the scoresheet (just one goal since mid January).
Did you know?……St Helen’s Glass has the Class? If you didn’t, you do now.March 15, 2019 at 12:52 pm #1735296
Personally I’d rather bring Lovren and Shaq on after the games won.
Hopefully that’s quite early.
I included Lallana in my team for 2 reasons. 1) because he played so well last week and 2) I can see Fulham sitting back so could maybe use his inventiveness and counter press.
Shaq for Lallana perhaps at some stage?
Maybe Origi to get a run out too.
Games are gonna come thick and fast next month with Porto, Spurs and Chelsea to name a few.March 15, 2019 at 1:02 pm #1735302
Agreed, give them game time when the game is safe. Lovren may need time to get up to speed.March 15, 2019 at 4:29 pm #1735430
Not sure Klopp will rest players in attack or defence. Midfield is another matter. Fabinho, Lallana and Keita?March 15, 2019 at 4:40 pm #1735435
Kieta still has a question mark over his fitness. Was meant to train today.
Not sure he will be risked.March 15, 2019 at 5:00 pm #1735440
Thanks for update Ginger, drats we could have done with Keita around and no Hendo, is Milner available? Gini has looked a little jaded…March 15, 2019 at 5:06 pm #1735443
We must win. We must forget Europe and concentrate on Sunday match.March 15, 2019 at 5:16 pm #1735445
I’d have Lallana start as stated above.
Read up on Klopps presser today. He gives updates on players fitness before games.March 17, 2019 at 12:57 pm #1735813
Mane an injury doubt (think he’s not being risked tbh). May see Origi start.March 17, 2019 at 1:09 pm #1735819

We can’t under estimate these or any other opponent going forward.March 17, 2019 at 1:22 pm #1735821
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Milner, Sturridge, Moreno, Shaqiri, Origi.March 17, 2019 at 1:55 pm #1735827
I am nervous about the game today, but I add that I am nervous every game we play.
I want Salah to score a hat trick to shut me up about what I have posted about him.
Come on Mo!!!!March 17, 2019 at 2:04 pm #1735830
Liverlad, me too. Concerned about a CL hangover. Concerned that Fulham have lost 6 straight games and been outscored 15-3. Concerned that Mitrovich has only scored once in his last 10 games and their keeper will have a worldly. Mo will score today tho. Three points and Shaq to get game time will make me a happy camper.March 17, 2019 at 2:11 pm #1735832
Im nervous as well. Complacency and overconfidence could be our problem today. Maybe shaqiri shouldve start?March 17, 2019 at 2:28 pm #1735834
Just a note albeit a frustrating one. 3.40 secs in and Fab changes the point of attack well to Trent. Nearest defender when Trent receives the ball is 20 yards away yet he traps the ball and on his 2nd touch isn’t facing the way he’s attacking and drops it to Gini. At the moment of that drop he was then surrounded by 3 defenders. Frustrates me. Take on the full backs especially in the early stages and see what they’re made of! Even if he does lose the ball in that area it’s hardly a instantly dangerous situation for us. Just think sometimes it’s a bit of a habit for Trent and Robbo. If there’s space, attack it!
