Grujic doing well overall apparently has nominated for rookie of the year award in Germany.
Has been getting praise for his attacking as well as defending.
Bayern Munich and Lazio want to sign Liverpool prospect Marko GrujicMarch 31, 2019 at 2:28 pm #1738760Ryan Kent doing well in the old firm derby
June 11, 2019 at 11:00 am #1758471If Klopp beleives in some young players like Wilson then he must loan them to PL or championship clubs. Ryan kent must join Leeds and not Rangers because he needs to show his abilities in a difficlut league and not in SPL!! What is the reason to play again in Rangers?? The same is valid for those who wiil be loaned.
June 16, 2019 at 9:54 am #1759633Why does not Klopp sell Kent to take money and loans him to Rangers?? He can not prove anything in Scotland. The same is valid for other players like Ojo, Elaria etc..
July 9, 2019 at 11:46 pm #1765216Ojo on target for Rangers, I would love it if Ojo had a good UL run this year. Some of our youngsters are collectively going to make Liverpool a lot of money even if they dont make it at Liverpool.
July 10, 2019 at 10:30 am #1765290Kent and Wilson have a chance in pre-season to prove to Klopp whether they can make it at Liverpool.
I think Wilson just might have a chance, but don’t think Kent will make it.
Let’s wait and see, and even if they both don’t make it, we can still sell them for good money and buy a better player
July 10, 2019 at 11:07 am #1765305The clock is against us if we want to
1) assess them in pre season,
2) find clubs to sell them to and complete the deal to our satisfaction
3) find and buy a better player.July 10, 2019 at 5:54 pm #1765415I agree with you to a point Ginger whilst they might not make it for us but I think Kent and Wilson are both highly regarded young men, if we put them up for sale I think we would get takers or at the very least get a loan-to-buy agreement setup like Ings situation. But you’re right Ginger this is a weird preseason very short one and time is running out.
July 11, 2019 at 10:35 am #1765538Ginger, he clock is not against us, how do you know what transfer deals are being planned in the background?
If we could sell Solanke for 20m, I bet we can get more for Wilson, if we decide to sell
July 11, 2019 at 10:44 am #1765543Please read my whole post again in the context it was sent.
July 11, 2019 at 11:11 am #1765556In reply to your points:
1. Doesn’t take too long to assess a player, you either have it or you don’t, that will be apparent pretty quickly.
2. We will not be looking for clubs to sell them to, it’s the other way round, clubs will be approaching us. I can even see Kent being sold to Rangers as Gerrard wants him
3. Liverpool scouting team don’t start looking for players in the summer, they have usually been scouting them for even a year or more. Also they try and keep their plans as secret as possible e.g. when we signed Fabinho straight out of nowhere
July 11, 2019 at 12:15 pm #1765581The window will be closed in less than a month. It isn’t open indefinitely. So yes there is a clock counting down.
The players have just arrived for pre season, those fringe players will be given a few pre season games to show if they’re up to it. Tick tock the clock counts down.
If by the time they’ve played a coupla pre season games it’s been decided that they’ll be moved on, interested buyers have to be found, discussions have to be made, negotiations have to take place, details have to be ironed out.
Tick tock the clock counts down.So 2/3 weeks deep into this final month we’ve decided the fringe players can’t fill that gap in the squad that was needed, we decide to bring in a better player or 2 to fill those gaps.
Those players/clubs have to be approached, have to be willing to sell/move, agreements have to be made, suitable terms agreed, deals completed, possibly other clubs coming into the mix all within the last 7/10 days of the window where selling clubs generally have the upper hand. Tick tock the clock counts down.So yeah, in the situation you described the other day which I responded too, we’d be up against the clock to get all this done.
July 11, 2019 at 12:32 pm #1765588Klopp usually acts quick. Going to be interesting to see what happens to the likes of Kent and Wilson.
July 12, 2019 at 10:14 am #1765787Clock is ticking, but so what, deals could be being done in the background that no fan knows about.
Doesn’t matter when a deal is done in this window as long as it gets done
August 16, 2019 at 10:11 pm #1775277Grujic showing good form against Munich

August 16, 2019 at 11:42 pm #1775278Can see him replacing Milner in the squad next year maybe.
August 17, 2019 at 4:30 am #1775282Allan got called up by Brazil. Might get a good fee for him in the summer. Doubt Grujic will get another chance with us. I’m pretty sure he’s openly stated that he wants a move and usually there’s no coming back from that. I rate him quite highly but apparently Klopp doesn’t seem to. Not sure why though. He could have filled in for both #6 and at #8 and is a huge threat at set pieces. Right now I don’t think he could have done any worse than Keita. Pretty good at going for goal from range as well which is something we don’t really have right now. Never know though. Looks like this will be both Milner’s and Lallana’s final seasons with the club so Klopp might have told him he might get his chance next year. Could be why we didn’t sell him and loaned him out so early in the window, because I’m pretty sure we could have gotten a good fee for him after the season he had.
August 17, 2019 at 9:13 am #1775302I dont recall any statements from Grujic about wanting to leave at all.
In fact….Marko Grujic sets sights on becoming a ‘true’ Liverpool player after second spell in Bundesliga
August 17, 2019 at 11:25 am #1775338Grujic fell in love with Berlin, played really good there and Berlin is a wonderful city… I remember him stating before his 2nd loan spell there that he wanted to focus on keeping fit for the whole campaign…
I think there might be room for him next season, he got loads of talent, created and scored goals from deep in midfield. Exactly the kind of midfielder we need.
August 17, 2019 at 11:31 am #1775341Basically what he says in the article above
