Another interesting fact: Klopp was guiding Dortmund to relegation before he was sacked. Think about that for a couple of minutes.
December 20, 2018 at 1:33 pm #1709490Someone mentioned Ole wouldn’t last long. No I don’t suppose he will seeing as though he’s filling an interim manager position until the end of the season. So 5 to 6 months isn’t that long. Not sure Ole can do much besides a stabilising job and gettimg his stars playi g regularly again. Guess that means there isn’t as much pressure or expectation. If Utd get top four then he’s been a success as far as I’m concerned. If not…he goes back to Molde and it’s a new gaffers problem. Really hope Poch stays at Spurs. But Levy will have to reassure him as far as the transfer market goes. Another transfer window of bugger activity isn’t on at all…esp for a club with aspirations of winning things.
December 20, 2018 at 2:37 pm #1709520Have to say the way it is falling apart at the Theatre of Comedy is hilarious. I thought our fall from grace was bad but it’s nothing on the Salford has beens. The entire set up is like a scene from Father Ted. Remember how the warroturd hailed the appointment of each successive manager as the second coming? Rib splitting. Each appointment sending the once proud leviathan of English football further into the mire. There simply must be an act of parliament passed to prohibit Woodward from ever leaving Old Toilet. He is doing a fantastic job and long may it continue. Outstanding decision to bring in an interim manager with the footballing management pedigree of a sausage roll. Hilarious.
December 20, 2018 at 3:01 pm #1709538TMA now claims he never wanted Mourinho despite proclaiming world domination on his appointment.
December 20, 2018 at 3:28 pm #1709545All those going on about the pay off Mourinho is getting is missing the point – he is worth well over £100m personally – this pay off wont change his lifestyle a great deal – It will though immensely injure his pride. He did have to go though, he was a great manager in his day, as was Wenger, but football changes, as he changed it himself many years ago but he has been unable to keep up with the new guard and I really dont see him returning top the premiership. Listening to Pochettino though has been very interesting. He has said all the right things ACCEPT for ruling the job out, which he could have quite easily done by now.
I think Poch will take over in the summer.December 20, 2018 at 3:34 pm #1709547Hahahahahahahahaha nine. Remember it well mate. Of course he said the same about Moyes and Van Gaal. Who can forget him calling Van Gaal “Van Genius”. I swear, I’m reading his posts here and on the Utd page and wetting myself.
December 20, 2018 at 3:58 pm #1709553And on TOP of that, TMA is reinventing history by saying Klopp got sacked by Dortmund.
December 20, 2018 at 4:48 pm #1709576“The news Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as Utd’s caretaker manager warms my heart. He’s a true red devil. GET ready for another decade of Utd dominance. I have a good Phelan about this” TMA.😊
December 20, 2018 at 4:52 pm #1709578I thought our fall from grace was bad but it’s nothing on the Salford has beens.
Mmm How many trophies Liverpool won since United fall from grace? United have won more trophies in last 3 years than Liverpool have won in last 10 years. Forget trophies, how many times Liverpool finished above Utd since we fall from grace?
Where are the smug Liverpool fans who said they will destroy Madrid in the CL final, i mean the arrogance of Liverpool fans is strange i can understand from Utd fans but what have Liverpool won this decade.
A few years ago Liverpool fans were stood outside Anfield screaming ‘now you better believe us, now you better believe ussss’. We’re going to win the league. They won absolutely nothing. Last May Liverpool fans have been ranting and raving on here posting “6 times” and how their season has been an unbelievable success. They’ve won absolutely nothing. They never learn.
Klopp has been accorded god-like status by the deluded Liverpool fans… Lost six finals in a row. Zero trophies since arriving at Liverpool. And Liverpool fans have the audacity to laugh at United falling from grace. Oh the irony.
When are they parading the ‘We Beat Utd Trophy’ anyway? Hahaha
December 20, 2018 at 5:22 pm #1709586@999 – Without any doubt, we have been struggling since Fergie left. Yet, we won 3 trophies.. FA-cup, League cup and Europa league. 4 trophies if you are a Liverpool fan (community shield 😉 We finished in the top-four twice in the past 5 seasons. We finished 2nd last season.
It’s laughable when Liverpool fans compares their 3 decades of utter failure to Utd’s struggles in the past 5 seasons. That said, Liverpool fans are the only people that do.
Jurgen Klopp’s 3 seasons at Liverpool: Trophies won – 0 League positions – 8th/4th/4th Money spent : £500m And he’s the Messiah? hahaha… Imagine being the Liverpool fans lazing around all day in their Klopp onesies.
I just made another phone call to Utd office, director and executives are in meeting and it was decided Pochetino will be Utd’s next manager. Spurs fans must hate us, just when everything seems like heaven and on the brink of showcasing a big trophy within 18 months. Mighty Man Utd step in and pluck their manager who they adore and throw so much money at them for Kane, it only makes sense to accept as it’ll pay 15% off their debt for their fantastic new stadium.
Poch will build another Manchester United dynasty. No way to stop it. As i said, get ready for another decade of Utd dominance.
December 20, 2018 at 6:54 pm #1709602You are good value MartialI I have to admit that.😊
Just to introduce a touch of reality United are miles behind both Liverpool and City and you’ve now had 4 Managers since 2013 and three of them have been sacked.
I’m sure United will ultimately get it right but the days of United domination will be a very hard task to repeat probably impossible.
December 20, 2018 at 7:24 pm #1709610“I just made another phone call to Utd office, director and executives are in meeting and it was decided Pochetino will be Utd’s next manager.”
Bwahahaha, was that decision down to your amazing persuasive skills on the blower Martial? Who did u speak to at the office? Ricky Gervais 🤣🤣
December 20, 2018 at 9:45 pm #1709649ButTma, you’re missing the point. Utd’s previous period of dominance was only achieved because the footballing authorities believed they were the best team to get behind and help, to try and secure European success. That’s not the case any more. They still get more than their fair share of dodgy decisions, but they’re unlikely to become the chosen ones again any time soon.
December 21, 2018 at 2:12 am #1709659“As i said, get ready for another decade of Utd dominance.” Wonder where have I heard it before?
December 21, 2018 at 4:56 am #1709661Yeah kingo, and despite all that plus a bottomless pit of money they were still shite in Europe. Any other club with that kind of backing would have taken over from Real but Fergie managed a measly two Champions League wins in over 20 years.
December 21, 2018 at 7:38 am #1709672@999 – No doubt City are miles ahead of us, and understandably so. Only look at their backline. Guardiola spent >350m on Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Laporte, Mendy, Danilo, Ederson, Bravo, etc. That’s more than what Mourinho spent on defense, midfield and striker. As for Liverpool being miles ahead of Utd, I am sure you are trying to be funny or sarcastic. Is Allison a better goalkeeper than De Gea? Is their forward line (Firminho, Mane, salah, Sturridge, Origi and Shaqiri) miles ahead of United’s (Lukaku, Martial, Rashford, Lingard, Sanchez)?? No chance. Our players were under performing and its down to the manager. Liverpool are obviously punching above their weight. Just look at their midfield. Milner is their best midfielder. They don’t have a player of Pogba’s quality. As for their defense, I would say only Van Dijk and probably Arnold would get into United’s defense.
We are not miles behind Liverpool. As I said, we were underachieving due to the managers directionless playing style and dressing room unrest. Same situation with Jose’s last season at Chelsea. Players like Hazard and Costa looked headless chicken but we knew their quality. We have young players like De Gea, Pogba, Martial, Lingard, Rashford, Fred, Dalot and Luke Shaw who are the future of an exciting and entertaining United team. Mourinho sacking is undoubtedly the right decision and it presents an opportunity for this great club to make a radical change for the future and dominate the league for years to come. We are too big not to get it right. This is the mighty Manchester United we are talking about.
As for Liverpool, I hope the biased media and deluded scousers continue believing in Klopp and dwindle in mediocrity… Despite getting one of the best seasons ever by a player, they finished in fourth last season. And yeah Liverpool shouldn’t even be in the CL final. How can you be Champions of Europe and you haven’t won a league title in 30 years. Scousers talked sooo much crap you would think they won the PL already. As far as I’m concerned, Liverpool is a small time club who were relevant 25 years ago. Reaching the CL finals was a fluke.
December 21, 2018 at 8:12 am #1709675@kingo – You are absolutely right. The footballing authorities helped Sir Alex to win the cup winners cup against Barca to salvage his job. They helped him to survive the early turmoil to construct a majestic team around Mark Hughes, Bryan Robson, Cantona, Roy Keane, Paul Ince and Andrei Kanchelskis. They helped him to acquire the underrated stalwarts Steve Bruce and Gary Pallister to built his dynasty of success. The footballing authorities helped Fergie to promote the class of 92 to lay the foundation to build his empire and dream of becoming a great general of the game.
By the way, are these the same footballing authorities who prevent Liverpool from winning the League Title for over 28 years despite being the 4th highest spenders in the PL history (Biggest Spenders in Premier League History: 1. Chelsea – £1,715,242,236, 2. Man City – £1,452,456,243, 3. Man Utd – £1,326,047,408, 4. Liverpool – £1,284,222,928). Only 1 Champs League Title in almost 34 years despite spending crazy amount of money.. Hilarious..
‘The Miracle of Istanbul’ has now been superseded by ‘The Chickens of Kiev’.. BOOOOM.
December 21, 2018 at 8:15 am #1709676ok maybe not miles ahead, just….19 points….after half a season….and a defense so shocking that they have a plus 30 GD one of the best defencive records and have still not scored like they have in previous years, remind me of your GD? or goals scored? or points? we could go on but it will all change in the second half with the new manager right?
December 21, 2018 at 8:17 am #1709678my prediction for Ole (and i like the fella) is he will TANK 🙂
December 21, 2018 at 8:19 am #1709681@stuilse – Off course, I speak to my sources 😉
By the way, did you watch the CL final last season? No Liverpool player went over to Karius at full time… never walk alone hey???? Unless you are a young devastated goalkeeper left alone for a full 2 mins until Gareth Bale went over to console him; Every LFC player and staff ignored Karius and left him in bits; You’ll never walk alone??? Sums LFC up, they sing talk and believe B@%hit. Poor lad was cast aside by his team mates and club when he needed them most, you win together and lose together… unless its LFC
