Interesting that in the lead-up to a Liverpool/Man Utd fixture that nobody (from this forum) can even be arsed to talk about the game. Such silence speaks a thousand words about how times have changed over the last few years.
Dunno AK. We’re so far ahead that in a way you’d say it shouldn’t make any difference… However, we’ve got the chance to put them even further back again.
It might be in the backs of the players minds that if we win today, even an amazing comeback from City won’t do it. That it’ll essentially be over. The thing is though, with the way they are all talking, Klopp especially, they are well drilled to think about the meal in front of them and that if they eat all their veg, maybe then they get desert.
I can’t wait for this game, as Bingo said, it’s been hard to re-adjust to a non-crazy schedule. I’m telling myself not to entertain too many thoughts about the spectacle though. Each time I tell myself “this is the Liverpool v Utd game that will actually be a good match” and most times they are just a disappointment.
3 points, no injuries or red cards and anything else is a bonus.
RH haha! Good point. I guess there are a number of reasons there. We’re much more of a complete side these days, with a very familiar first 11, perhaps with some small tweaks.
Then on top of that we have been winning essentially every game. We’re all looking at the table but not looking at the table 😛 Our mentality is different to the days when the fans were meeting the buses etc.
