Rob I like your team!! But like AK said I would put Ox in there. I might be wrong but I think we played Milner and Henderson against Tottenham and struggled. As another poster said Ox gives us an opportunity to play through their lines rather than with passes that Milner and Henderson tend to do.

When we played Tottenham and Mancity they were good enough to evade our famed pressing game. Klopp tried to change it up in the match against Spurs at Anfield but we still struggled to catch them with our press.

I would play it clever, Man Utd are at home, the onus will be on them to come at us, I think we will see them fly out of the box but if we defend smartly as a team (which we sometimes struggled to do against Spurs at home) then we could get a positive result as we have really fast players that can catch them on the break.

Ultimately I would pick either Henderson or Milner and my heart says go with Milner over Henderson as I think Henderson offers better play in the transition.

Tough to predict this one… Man Utd will raise their game but I can see a 3-2 for us!

Klopp must have a plan for their defence which is the weakest part of their game ! Difficult if they sit back but chinks in armour perhaps?
    Lindelof? Smalling? Is Jones fit?
Bailly was their best by a mile but not sure now.
    Lovren to sit on Lukaku?
    VvD is key

We have an ordinary record at their joint & I can remember us going well in seasons past until we faced them at their place & coming away disappointed. I really cannot see us winning this.

Were definately gonna win because Lovren has done one of his special big March pre game interviews and third time is a charm lol

Last time against Spurs it was “I’m on pain killers” and we lost. Then against Spurs again it was “I’ve recovered my form” and we got a draw. So this time he’s saying Liverpool world never play for a draw… So this time we gotta win… Please God!

yep ive absolutley no doubt we wont win hightown.

i dont mind losing once we trun up. if we turn up and go down with a wimper then its the same old story

go here and actually do somethihng. We are doing well this season but i dont take this as the norm and i wont until we are doing it season after season.

i should be very confident that we will finish top 4 but im not. we are playing really reall well but with us, you just never knbow whats around the corner.

and its not really the usual from me. I thought we would draw at west ham and said we would drop poinbts at swansea but for most opf the season, ive fancied us to win.

you cant get carried away as its us.

people say karius and vvd are doing well but they feck up tomorrow and thats all forgotten. It just takes one bad game for the mdeia/pundits etc to get all over our players and our defence.

we have a really good side but i dont have full belief in them yet.

I haven’t felt confident heading into this fixture for years now but I reckon we will show up, the lads have more desire than Utd to finish 2nd in the league and we are playing much better than them ATM, I wouldn’t be surprised to see us scoring a couple of goals and keeping another clean sheet.

im the opposite bingo. we have been 2 points behind utd for a while now and we just cant catch them

ill be suprised if we are not 5 points behind tomorrow afternoon.

jose always has a plan for us. stifle the hell out of us and wait for us to make a mistake

the defence hasnt really been tested in weeks so tomorrowe w ill really see what vvd and karius are made of. Lets see if they can really stand up and be counted.

still huge doubts over karius and a few good games doesnt chnage that. he needs to show he can handle the pressure at really tough places like OT

if we win tomorrow, id actually start to think this team is really going places and the future is really bright. Lose and the doubt will still be there

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we won as well Bingo.
We’re in really good form at the min with positivity swarming through the squad whereas the Utd squad is full of problems.
My issue is that Mourinho will have absolutely no problem setting up super defensively to nullify any danger we could pose plus there’s De Gea to beat also.
I find it interesting that he’s been having a go at the crowd at Old Trafford recently and indeed this week and yet he serves up the style of football he does.
This is something we could use to our advantage.

Bingo, I wouldn’t say we are playing better than united. I would perhaps say that we are playing a far more attractive type of football, more attacking and easier on the eye where mourinho likes to keep it tight, control a game and possession, both are proving successful given the position both teams are in. Don’t let the boring style of football fool you, they will be right up for this and with mourinho’s Tactics it will be tough. We will need to draw them out, an early goal will be ideal so we can play to our strengths. It will be interesting to see what they do with Salah, mourinho will have a plan for him that’s for sure.

Honestly I hate the early weekend kickoffs, they really do ruin your weekend if they lose. The mrs is already moaning about the mid day kick off and planned a few things after the game, if we lose I don’t want to do anything!!!

I honestly think we will be able to tell how this game is going to go in the first 10, if we are at them, giving them no time and pressing like we did against City then I can see us winning. It says a lot about this Utd team that their player that I worry about the most is DDG, if he was not in sticks I would be ever so confident of a result, and a bag full of goals 🙂

You’re assuming they’ll come out at us Pax.
If they just sit deep and try to hit on the counter then there no pressingvreakky to be done.

City beat them there this season, so no reason why we cannot do it tomorrow.

Ox will definitely start, after all why was he rested on Tuesday. But I can also see Milner coming on at some point.

We have Salah, who wants to be the best player in the world, so he will relish this challenge, and Mane, who shines more in the biggest games, plus the unpredictable, underrated Firmino – let’s hope they can deliver the result for Liverpool tomorrow

Ant… Quite honestly I have no idea how Utd are playing, what they are trying to do is not even a after thought of mine. Im just basing this on our form and drive at the moment. Im happy with a zero draw and one point, we could play for that and most likely snatch the three points on the counter with our offensive force. I want Henderson in the team, I want theatrics from the lads, spice it up a bit. Salah has been kicked time after time now in the box, its about time we demand some protection for him from the ref. That should have been a red card against Newcastle.

Ginge – That is the idea of pressing high up the pitch, the longer they try to hold onto it at the back, the more chance we will have to nick it off them, this is what Firmino is so good at.

The key is getting the goal early on. The earlier we score the easier it is to draw them out. However, there is no doubt in my mind Mourinho is going to bring a double decker bus and it’ll be hard to beat De Gea. I’m not worried about their attack, Sanchez has been pants and Lukaku isn’t that great when he needs to play the ball at his feet. Good luck trying to outduel VVD in the air. VVD will eat Lukaku for breakfast.

I’m with Sean and Aussie, it’s hard to see past a 0-0. If we can score 2 goals past their double decker bus, I think we’ll win.

I’ve got a feeling that we may change our usual game for this one and invite them on to us and then go long ball (or “long pass” if it sounds better) when we win it back. We have, actually, played quite a bit of long ball/pass in the second half of the season as an measured alternative to our more usual tight, short pass game. It can make sense as, on balance, we have a pace advantage and you can only realise that advantage by manoeuvring the play such that we can exploit that pace.

Red H – I think this is a game where the players are going to have to think on their feet, they might need to adjust how they play depending on the way Mourinho sends his team out to play, you can aticipate the way the opposition are going to play but if they come out with a different game plan the players need to be able to adapt accordingly.

Again Pax you’re assuming they’ll want to hold onto possession instead of letting us have it and putting 10 men behind the ball then hitting us on the break.
