Totally agree Brian. I wasn’t born until a few years after that fateful day but my Dad has told me all about them, especially Eddie Coleman and Duncan Edwards.
My Dad played with many of them – he was a Busby Babe and played in two of United’s FA Youth Cup winning finals in 1954/55 and 1955/56.
He was also pencilled in to fly out to Belgrade as reserve full back but Geoff Bent recovered from an injury and took his place – there but for the grace of God eh? Geoff, sadly, was one of the players who died.
Rivalry is put to one side on days such as this.

Quality. Brilliant lads. Thank you. We need to make this league all about our 2 teams. Year in and year out!
