Hi guys, Roland here. What a diabolical forum Teamtalk has become. Mark has come out with all kinds of excuses and I don’t blame him personally as this is obviously part of his job. Having said that there is no excuse for this “new improved” forum that is now apparently the “norm” in forums. What rubbish. IMO improvements should make forums easier to use, this has taken a huge backward step. It is obvious that Teamtalk is not going to revert back so I ask this, is there anyone of you computer-wise enough to start a new forum on similar lines to the old one? If so then I think it would thrive as before, not die a slow death like this one. Cheers & thanks for reading. Roland.
Hi Tom, I don’t have the computer technical knowledge to do it but I am sure one of the old gang will. Presumably it involves building a website. I doubt if a petition would work as TT seem adamant that there is nowt wrong with this forum which is both arrogant and ridiculous. I just wonder how much advertising revenue is being lost since the changeover. I certainly would not pay for adverts that nobody sees. If TT cant see that then words fail me. There’s so much to talk about at the moment yet contributors are as rare as rocking horse poo. If TT doesn’t want a successful forum then why don’t they just scrap it altogether. Would save us the bother of caring.
To be fair there are a number of pages where there are a lot of posts from the fans. However, I was not contacted by TT until some after this forum went live and we still see some of the old names coming back on the Chelsea page
Not saying that the forum is not as good as it was but it does survive on the number of posters so possibly not all the old Sunderland posters even know this new site exists…? KTBFFH
Hi mate,You’re absolutely spot on.I do appreciate the efforts from the TT team, but in reality this new layout is nowhere near as good as it was.I mean it’s literally become a private chatroom where there are single line posts and endless personal conversations amongst each other.
So many threads, of more or less the same meaning.I hate it,I hardly ever comment on the general page and only do on the Arsenal one because I love to discuss my team.I so hope that the site gets reverted to the old format where there’s only one page where we discuss stuff, there’s a standout featured comment, maybe thumbs up/down(Without manipulation of course!).
