City are going to miss Kompany like I told you guys, they are short at the back after he left…

City has already signed Umtiti from Barca by spending 60 mil!! He will join them in January…

Pinez, I don’t remember anything ‘official’ being released on the signing of Umtiti to City (I’m a poet and I don’t know it).

Anyways, if it’s true (unlikely as he only signed a 5 year deal last year) then City can have him. Injury record a concern (repeated knee and hamstring issues) and he’s out again now for a bit.

The five win record is even more impressive given that we have a free transfer gk.

Not having a go at those who were not satisfied with the transfer window but likely the knives would have been out, not necessarily here but on social media generally if the positions were reversed and we were 5 points behind City.

The season has just started and City may well overtake us but it looks like they did not improve so much despite spending 80 or 90 million. Laporte is injured but if I’m not mistaken he played against Spurs. Last year they were scoring 3 or 4 against middle table teams and even 5 against those lower down, and only 2 against Norwich suggests they are performing at a lower level.

I think there’s been a massive over reaction to city losing. Big surprise but city should have trashed spurs.

They were playing very well up to sat but it was one game they were poor.

I wouldn’t go overboard after city losing one game. They lost to Newcastle in Jan then win every single game till May

Plying well is not a guarantee to go on winning, so called small teams are ruthless when an opportunity to smash and grab presents itself against the big boys. That’s why I was not concerned when fans were complaining that our performances were below par in the first ten matches of last season, as long as we were winning.

Anyway no sensible Liverpool fan thinks that the title is done and dusted so early in the season, however most of us wouldn’t have believed that such a scenario would unfold.

Agree Kirk, Ciry result was a massive massive shock but we will have a result like that and some stage and the fans can’t over react

All seems to be well, another good performance & again in the end a very easy win.
Our next two games however will us how good we are, here’s hoping.
Finally although all is well, not getting a top forward/striker I think will come back to bite us.

City now down to one central defender in Otamendi.
Stones has been ruled out for 4/5 weeks.

I got excited at the Stones news until I looked at the league games he could miss:

    Watford H
    Everton A
    Wolves H
    Palace A
    Villa H
