Excellent insight there Rob. I had a very vague idea of how it went only but you clearly know your stuff.

I can’t wait to hear about these coaches who are more success than Klopp though 😛 Won more Sunday Leagues than Klopp, judging by the direction of the argument 😛

I believe that we can not challenge for the title but we must finish inside the TOP4!!
The competition is great and we must be careful not to miss the chance to play in CL next season.
We are very bad, Utd moderate and City are serious enough to wein the title.
Of course both of them did not have any injuries something which we had. They were very lucky!!
However the problem was not at the defence but in the attck. The front 3 have let us down.
    They are shadows of themselves…
Of cousre owners and Klopp have their responsibilities…

Our next block of games are…
    Home to Utd 17th
    Home to Burnley 21st
Away to Utd 23rd (FA Cup)
    Away to Spurs 28th
    Away to West Ham 31st
    Home to Brighton 3rd
    Home to City 6th

We’ve started with a draw at home to Utd. Not an great result but hardly horrific. The bigger issue was the performance, it was just more of the same we had before the 8 day break they had. Our away form is terrible and away to Burley never straight forward particularly with their height and physicality. Matip should be back for it. Play him then, rest him for FA Cup and then we’ll need him against Spurs which is another hole we need to avoid. I’d take a draw now.

Big 10 days coming up culminating in City at Anfield.

    Spurs tonight
    West Ham Sunday
    Brighton Wed
    City next Sunday

We need to put together a string of results leading up to City so we can go into that game with confidence.
It’ll be interesting to see how Matip will be managed.
He’ll play tonight, he’ll be wanted for City but there’s no way he’ll be rested for both the West Ham and Brighton games, injury aside.
West Ham game is only 3 days after tonight whereas the Brighton game is 4 days before the City game however the West Ham game should be the tougher game, currently ahead of us in the table.
    Difficult decisions ahead.

I think these next two games could make or break us ginger.

Tough horrible away trips but if we play like we can then we can win both.

We really need to hit some form very quickly. Sunday was much better do really hoping it pushes us now.

The most basic thing right now is just consistency Sean, we need a settlet back four… Right now I´m wondering if Henderson and Fabinho might be our best pairing for the defense, they are the ones I can see cracking up game after game… They both can command the box and organise even though Jordan might be a bit better for that role, he sure can bark out orders and lead by example. A settled defense is what the game is about, every good defense plays together for a few matches before hitting form, then the buildup also improves and we start scoring more goals but we need that consistency. The players need to know where to move, they need to get used to the ball being played out a certain we before they get on the same wavelength… If you look at the very key attribute for a good team, its usually the amount of minutes played together at the back, its good to mix it up but it is never good the change it… We´ve been forced to change our lineup, pretty much every game now for the past month… Its totally different from tinkering with the squad, there Klopp might have an idea of how to create a better flow and often it works out but when we are forced to change the lineup because of a injury or a ban then we have a problem with the flow of the game… We miss a conduit, we miss the player from open play… The whole team takes a relapse instead of going forward and we need to focus on a problem instead of a solution

“I firmly believe this run of games will make or break our league season.”

    I guess it’s the latter.
