Brewster is the one we are all waiting for mate, why do you prefer Shaqiri?

Brewster isn’t ready and Klopp obviously thinks so. If he has to he’ll play AOC anywhere across the front 3 like he did in the CL before he picks Brewster. We’d still have more than enough depth in midfield.

I’m pretty sure Origi will go straight into the lineup and that Brewster will take over his role on the bench. I’m also pretty sure that Klopp will use Brewster ahead of Shaqiri as he does not trust the latter at all but like you say Razor, he could opt for Oxlade as well but Brewster is always going to be on the bench, we can’t go into a game without having a striker on the bench when we play with three forwards. If something happens we need to change our whole structure to accommodate another midfielder into the lineup. I don’t see that happening much, Klopp like to rotate but he usually doesnt tinker with the setup.

The extent of Salahs injury or indeed how many games he will miss, if any, is still to be confirmed. Personally I think we’ll rest him for the Palace game in the hope he’ll be ready for the Napoli game at home where if we win we top the group and go through thereby leaving us with the option of being able to rest players for the last CL game.
If he does miss games then I can see either Origi or Ox playing wide left.
I won’t be overly concerned by it.

That’s another block of games gone and we’ve don’t amazingly well.
We’ve qualified top of our CL group, won all our league games, won our FA Cup game and are well clear at the top of the table with a game in hand while our competitors have fallen away.
This particular run of games has put us in a fantastic position however we now have another tough run of games in quick succession.

    Away to Spurs 11/01
    Home to Utd 19/01
    Away to Wolves 23/01
    Away to Bristol/Shrewsbury 25/01
    Away to West Ham 29/01
    Home to Southampton 01/02

First thing that sticks out is the amount of away game, next thing is the space between games for the first 3 games then we have 4 games in 16 days. This will all have to managed especially as players come back from injury.
Plenty of time to get ready for the Spurs game and then another week until the Utd game is perfect for us. Four days until the Wolves game is still fine and we should be having a coupla players back from injury by then if not before.
The FA Cup game away presents an opportunity for our fringe and youth players to get a game again but also those coming back from injury. Great opportunity to rest the likes of Mane, Salah etc etc.
Onto West Ham and then Southampton sheer most of our main men will have had a break for the Fa cup previously.

I can honestly see us going through this period unbeaten yet again and probably taking maximum points also.

Fahbino n Shaq back in training this week. Not sure how long Matip n Lovren will be out for but we need one of them back by the mid of Jan.

Ginger, if we take maximum points in this period that’s great.

I think the next period (Feb) isn’t a good time for Leicester and Man City, who have to play each other amongst other fixtures, so could very well drop points in more than one game.

I expect City to play better once they get Laporte and Stones back though.

Regardless of what City/Leicester do I believe we only need 13 more league wins to ensure the title.
If we took max points by the end of Jan we’d only need another 8. That not even taking into account and City/Leicester dropped points this month.

It was the next 3 PL matches that had me worried but we can add West Ham to that, now that they have a new manager. Pelegrini was useless with what is actually a pretty good group of players.

I think Klopp said February before we get everyone back. I can’t remember specifically who he was talking about when he said it but my instincts tell me maybe he meant Matip.

Holiday fixture congestion eases off, so we have that. We can prioritize and with players coming back and some luck with the current lads, we might be able to power through. Winning the next 4 PL matches is crucial though and it certainly won’t be easy.

As our fixtures are hard, City’s are easy but when ours ease off again, City’s get more difficult, once more. Teams are finding success in taking City on though, so I don’t think there are too many genuinely 3easy games for them right now. At least not until Laporte comes back.

If we can just get 12 from 12, I’ll be extremely confident that we’ll take the PL title. The thing is though, I do wonder if we can manage it. Each 3 points is another step though, we’ve just got to keep wading through these sides, towards our goal. We’ve got the quality, we’ve got the mentality. We looked tired against Wolves and their dogged defence and fight nearly proved to be too much but then we made Sheffield look pretty ordinary. Van Dijk and Gomez are the best CB pairing the in the PL. We just need this to continue and for the fullbacks to keep doing their thing.

Joel Matip and Xherdan Shaqiri both pictured in training for #LFC this afternoon. Big boost following a very testing period for the squad – and the likes of Fabinho and Dejan Lovren shouldn’t be far off, either.

No Pinezes, I think the next 4 PL games and I don’t think it locks it down but it just gets to the point where maybe I’ll start going easy on opposition fans calling the title etc. The players can’t get complacent if we do win all 4, especially if City also win all 4 in that time but their fixtures get tough again soon. They also get Laporte back within 5 weeks though… He’ll take a few weeks to get back to peak performance, so fingers crossed it could be a 95% chance for us by then and if that happens then I’ll be comfortable enough.

These 4 games are no joke though. We’ll have to play to our best.

Also, it’s awesome to have players coming back from injury, especially Matip. We can’t lose another CB without there being serious repercussions.

How good are we? The best ever start to a season by any team in any league. Records are being broken. What a team! Utd will be looking for another pizzagate next week – let’s stuff their crusts instead. Ynwa

For me all that matters is beating United next week, and then focus on winning the next game after that.

Good thing is that Fabinho and Matip are back in training to bring even more competition to the table, alongside Minamino and Shaqiri.

The boys must not get distracted with all this media talk about breaking records, just focus on winning the next game every time, and see where we are at the end of the season
