So with the news that there are unlikely to be any spectators possibly for the entire season then there won’t be any big name signings. Arsenal more than any club suffer financially from lack of match day revenue, you cannot spend money you don’t have without the bulk of your income stream. Certain posters don’t seem to understand this model even though I’ve explained it many times. We haven’t made any inroads in dumping the dross so we are still lumbered with Mustafi, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac, Ozil, Torreira, Elneny, and Xhaka. We certainly need reinforcements in midfield with Ceballos who is only on loan our main creative force. Lack of creativity was our biggest issue against West Ham, Xhaka was poor from the off giving the ball away and putting it directly out of play for no reason on a number of occasions, the vast majority of his attempted passes went backwards and it was no surprise every newspaper gave him low marks, only Kolasinac received poorer marks. Xhaka just isn’t good enough but we can’t bring the players in we need Until we dump the dross but no one wants them. Our only option is to play our talented youngsters, they have to figure more than they have, they are our future. And on top of all this we have Pepe, £72m and now a reserve who has flopped, I doubt we could give him away now. Play the kids against Leicester especially in midfield, movement and creativity will improve without Xhaka.
