TSO, the save that he palmed onto the post yesterday was world class. So far this season he has faced more shots than any other goalkeeper in the league and his save percentage is third in the league behind Schemeichel and Henderson. He may not be the most vocal but he is an excellent keeper – way better than someone like Pickford who is constantly shouting and bullying his defenders.

You expect Leno to tell this defence what they are doing wrong when they so far have not listened to Wenger, Emery, Ljungberg or Cech?

You could have whoever in goal and it would not change one thing as they together are uncoachable.

Ottawa – It’s not about shouting and bullying,it’s about being communicative and organising your defense.I read a stat somewhere that Arsenal have conceded the most shots in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season. That’s a ridiculous stat to be honest. But anyways, any proffessional keeper would make a few world class saves here and there.I’m not even saying Leno is a poor keeper, but he faces so many shots at goal every single game, and yet not even one word to the defenders.

A keeper can see a whole game in front of him,if he’s intelligent which most keepers are then they constantly communicate and let the defenders know where they’re going wrong. On the pitch,it’s the keepers job to do that.Do you think the likes of Neuer,Buffon,de gea just keep quiet.I’ve seen them communicate numerous times. And many other keepers for that matter.

You say Leno has the third highest save percentage,he also has the most errors leading to a goal since he’s joined us.Stats can be for and against him.
I said last season if he dosen’t start communicating with the defense, then we may as well start looking for other keepers.Don’t kid yourself if you think martinez wouldn’t have a great save percentage or made world class saves here and there if he were in the same position.

It’s just my personal opinion,I’m not entirely sold on him and I question his character.A keeper is just as responsible for the defense as the defenders are,so he should not hide away.

Muffler1, exactly and that is the point I made earlier they are uncoachable because they don’t understand the game and have no discipline and no sense of responsibility. How anyone can criticise Leno after he saved us yesterday is just plain stupid and then others defend the appalling Mustafi. Laughable lack of basic knowledge.

Leno is the least of our problems, Mustafi yesterday was as bad as I’ve seen him. On both goals he was as much use as a training ground manikin.
