Or steamy. Some may find what he says attractive. The art of blaming everyone but yourself appeals to some football fans.

His teams just can’t defend a lead yet they sit back after taking a lead. And they playing three midfielders. Four of you count Ross but he is an attacker like gerrard used to be. Not a midfielder.

Lol. Speaking of which. If I was a Leicester city fan. And I know of only one but he supports other teams as well. Well if I knew of any I’d be irritated if the club doesn’t sign up Riyaadh mahrez soon to a proper contract.

I think Everton have only won 18 games from their last 62.

Only won 6 in the league this season. Remember when Everton fans were getting giddy because he was doing better than Moyes, even though Moyes was the one who layed the defensive foundation. Look what Mythinez has done.

In fairness to Martinez though he can rightfully feel more than a bit hard done by tonight with the second City goal.

Nine Nine Nine – so you can feel sorry for Martinez can you? Yes, ball was out of play for Sterling’s cross by a few inches. But Aguero clearly fouled in build up to Everton goal, Navas clearly fouled in penalty area by Mirallas in first leg, Sterling ‘penalty’ not given in league game. I think Everton have had more than their fair share of luck lately.

actually Evertons goal also should not have been allowed if you look at the foul that was committed just before they scored-Martinez is always looking for excuses and I dont even know why Everton got him in the first place as he does not have a good record, should be sacked

B/owner, true enough mate re the foul prior to the Everton goal but a lot happened after that and City shouldn’t have let Barkley run through them like they did. Like you I’m not a big fan of Martinez.

In one of todays papers they are talking of offering top level assistant referees to turn professional on an annual wages of 35k to try and raise the standards

We all know that the game is much faster than it has ever been plus with so much incentive to win at all costs we continue to see time wasting, diving, appealing for all and any fouls etc.etc. so it is a really tough job and IMO all 3 officials need to be on the same wavelength as for a single person (just the ref) it is virtually impossible not to get a decision wrong at some stage

Yes, I feel for Martinez but it has to be said that Everton were hardly in the game and the way it was going a goal was due to come at some stage anyway. KTBFFH

In fairness to the Lino it was almost impossible for him to spot that being on the other side of the pitch. Maybe Platini’s idea of 4 Lino’s isn’t such a bad idea after all?

Everton’s luck in previous matches and even last night (Aguero foul) is well documented, to which Martinez shows absolutely no grace at all. The Sterling non-penalty was one of the clearest penalties the world will ever see, followed not long after by the Navas incident at Goodison.

Therefore a ball over the line which the linesman could never have seen will not draw any sympathy or guilt from me. He should be asking why his team were over-run and if we hadn’t scored then it wouldn’t be long

The man is pretty obnoxious deep down and will probably be fired soon.

While that decision might have been wrong, its not poor officiating. The lino was the other side of the pitch, with a goal, keeper and players in the line of sight. while at least 90% of the ball was over the line, I’m still not positive it was 100% over as the “freeze frame” was at an angle and not in line. A very close call like this causing debate is ok(unless your team misses out). It is the obviously wrong calls, and no accountability that is the problem.
