True or false you sad little Preston wool…you told your fellow brother Grimm you weren’t posting again until Ole was gone?

A one word answer will do.

    Ole in.

https://youtu.be/dEjdfNwYiEM – watch this, particularly the first 3 minutes and compare with where we are now. For whatever faults Ole has, of which I will concede there are question marks (substitutions, tactic changes…) we cannot underestimate the turnaround in the club under his tenure.

There are some intangibles that are hard to quantify with data but this is the most promising and likeable squad in years. He has moved on so many negative players (fellaini darmian young Valencia herrera lukaku rojo et all) – players who weren’t necessarily bad but were not in the best interests of the club going forward. I remember the questions being asked under Mourinho about leadership: “who is Man United’s captain?” Now we have leaders and there’s clear progress. A second place finish and 2 really exciting transfers so far. I see progress and I see optimism and I’m all for it. He’s deserved his chance to complete his project.

    Ole in.

Most of em on your list left for fuck all or not much or because they wanted out mate. And we still have a bucketful of shite left at the club, some of which good old Ole keeps bigging up, even Jonah (that’s his pet name for Phil Jones 😂)

The question on Ole will sort itself out in time. He has been heavily backed by the club and has a strong squad at his disposal. With that will come expectation even from those who have backed him against the criticism. To have any chance he needs to sort out his in game and squad management. He has probably done enough to allow him another shot at it this season but if we don’t progress in terms of performance and results then he’ll be under massive pressure come the end of the season.

I don’t like to ask the question really. But would you feel more confident of winning the league this season if Tuchel was in charge?

We’d probably win the treble with little Tommy Tuchel in charge.

Maybe Fergie could win the league with this squad but I couldn’t think of anyone else. It’s just not a title winning squad for me. Shirt of quality in midfield and up front. Citeh and Chelsea both have better squads in my opinion. But if you think this squad is good enough and we don’t win it, you’ve got to be moving in to the Ole out camp surely? Especially after the best part of 4 years.

Will be tough for him if he’s not close to the title this season i think. I’m not sure if Chelsea do have a better squad really. Our GK and Defence is much better than theirs. I think our attacking pool of players is stronger as well. They have a better midfield maybe but only because of Kante, but i do think Mount id a fabulous little player.
Makes for an interesting season at least…
