Well I didn’t see the match this afternoon but according to all reports and comments it was a revelation. We actually played football not valball. And Malomby and Snodgrass were actually a pair of creative midfielders and the ball spent for longer on the ground than it did in the air. Has Val seen the light, i.e. that the fans are utterly disillusioned bt much of the tripe that has gone before, and maybe the players were too. Apparently we played like a team that deserved our vaunted position in the league. Now this was only Bristol City who are havinfg an iffy season. One swallow doesn’t make a summer and all that. Next week we have probably the ultimate test in this league,
away to Fulham. So let’s wait and see.

Keeping the ball is a start. And I have seen glimmers from Townsend and Molumby that suggest that they can actually move forward and pass the ball, which is encouraging.

But how bad are BC? Not a shot of any description in the first half!

So I agree, Sarky, let’s wait until after the Fulham game before heaping praise upon what remains a very average team.

Just watched the highlights on Sky and it was a different style to previous games. Quick passing along the ground to feet rather than balls being wellied hopefully up the field. Let’s hope it continues.
