The only reason Pep will not end up at United is because we currently look like an organisation that lacks any ambition in the football sense.

    Simples.

    Take that as you wish.

History, prestige, and glamour aside why would pep want this job? To manage blind? Fellaini? Mata? Carrick? Jones?or would he rather manage sterling, aguero, silva,de bruyne? And most probably city will pay him more than any club in the world could offer? Were struggling with pep i feel. Our squads diobolical and pathetic for a club like ours.

Peps leavinh for city, carlos going bayern. We really only have 2 options now. Giggs or jose… we need to get jose in before the stoke game. We will lose that and the chelsea game. We will be nowhere near top 4 come new year.

Mourinho is linked tp PSG but wants to wait until United make the decision to give LVG the sack. If Mourinho does go to PSG, we should try L.Blanc now that Pep is City bound.

For those who want Pep I am sorry but he will not succeed here as United is not currently the best team in terms of quality players. The main man Rooney will not even get into any of the top ten teams in EPL. Pep has only been successful with the best teams around in non competitive. At BM he could not win the UCL thouh he could this season. I prefer Mourinho who is just waiting on the wings for Ed to give him a call to manage United so desperately. He is what United not only as a team but as a club needs. With games coming up against Stoke and Chelsea there is no way we are going to win… we could drop further than 6th. Now is the best time to get Mour in and work on some transfers as well. He would have a pretty good idea who our weak links are and how we can improve and who we could sell/buy to strengthen.

Its certain that PEP is city bound – players, cash and gamiliar faces in the clubs upper echelond will see to that.
I also think the recent absurd bravado by Woodward when he informed the media that Pep wasnt coming was because he knew he wouldnt come if asked.
I think it equally certain that Goggs will be given the reigns which for me is highly likely to end in tears – no experience, already part of a dreadful coaching setup and loyalty to has beens will haunt him. The man who wanted to offer Rio a new contract – altho he was past so past his sell by date he started to smell – will be sure to play Carrick til he is 40 and Rooney til he is 35.
After presiding over 2 woeful managerial appointments in Moyes and LVG, Woodward should be staring down the barrel of a gun. Ryan Giggs will backfire on him.
If Giggs had any backbone he would gave walked away from the shambles that is United under LVG – instead he is helping the rot set from within. This guy is no stranger from stabbing those nearesr to him in the back.

Moral completely disagree. Why would united hand over the regns to giggs now? Half a season left. Zero experience? All roads are leading to jose. Its going to happen. Hopefully after the stoke game. (We will lose 3-0)

To people thinking Pep would have no reason to choose us over City, he could make us bigger than City could even dream of. If we get him then the best players will start to follow and the Man Utd brand will become even bigger than it is now. It would benefit us to “modernise” and Pep is the kind of manager that could do that with us. In regards to Mourinho, he utterly f**ked up Chelsea this season. He would be very hit or miss at OT.

I agree with those who think Giggs will be in after LVG. In fact I believe that LVG will see his contract out and Giggs will then slot in cool as you like, as has been so carefully pr planned by the powers that be,who as long as the club is covered with the millions from sponsors and fans, see no ‘evil’ in United being somewhere near the top, alternating/competing between champion’s league and Europa cup.Now that is something we can all accompany Mr.Gill and Sir Bobby in smiling about. Then it will be just a replay in slow motion of what has happened the last 3 years.

This club is in a mess. From top to bottom it has become a joke. We have lost out on ancelotti and guardiola. Jose is the man to take us forward now. Yes the football he plays is not the most attractive but we need to get back on track ASAP and he guarantees success. People bang on about how we kept faith with fergie but after Busby how many years and managers did it take us to find fergie. Moyes and lvg were given a chance and they have failed miserably. We need to get back to winning ways and mourinho will do this. Look at Bayern Munich they have not promoted anyone from within the club. They probably can take a risk on someone from within but have gone for the best manager available on previous 2 occasions. We are no longer in a position to take a gamble.

The biggest issue surrounding the appointment of Guardiola in the summer is that UTD may – yes MAY – not be in the CL at the end of the season. Or should I say may not be in the top 4, but they could enter the CL next season if they win the Europa Cup. Is that a possibility?
Of immediate concern is not will LvG be sacked, who will replace him and when.
The only issue facing the BoD at the moment should be entry into next season’s CL competition. Everything else is irrelevant at this moment.
But there is one way in which UTD could overcome this problem.
Sack LvG now and appoint Mourinho as manager until the end of the season, with two conditions. Firstly UTD must finish in the top 4, and secondly NONE of the bullsh!t we’ve seen from him in the past.
If he succeeds then sign him on for a number of years with the proviso that he keeps out of the limelight. Controversy and he’s OUT.
If he fails on both counts then his reign as UTD manager finishes.
And while the BoD are at it, Ryan Giggs need to be told that to become a future UTD manager he needs to get winning experience at other clubs.

Forget Pep. He almost certainly will have already signed an agreement with City. I cannot imagined him announcing he will be leaving Bayern without another job to go to. Would anybody here hand in their notice without having a job to go to.

You made a valid point mac but if he has signed something then city will dominate the next three years.

Now why would Pep go to City?
After spells at Barca and Bayern then signing for City would have to be the mother of all falls from grace.
And if Pep thinks that the likes of top quality players from Barca – Neymar or Suarez – will follow him to Eastlands then he’s a clown.
Pep may have agreed to go to City but he’ll have a hell of a job attracting quality players.
