Desperate stuff, shambolic performance lacking any sort of quality, desire and urgency.

How many records have broken during the Lerner reign and all for wrong reasons.

I just want it to be all over now so we can start the re-building process.

Too much humilation for the fans to endure.

I think that as a show of distain and to reflect the clubs performance on and off the pitch every fan should take a white flag to the next game.

The club has given up, the players have given up (if they were ever bothered), and the manager is completely disillusioned and fed up just like the fans.

Get the white flags out lads, show them how it feels!

I did predict heavy defeats many weeks ago, but thought more recently our defence had improved — which it has .

but our midfielders apart from gana , are squad players only , not must picks .

westwood gives all but lacks quality .

bacuna sometimes plays but mostly doesnt.

vertout disappear much of the game .

non of them can hit the target .

up front we cant play or score , only agbonlahor can worry a defence.

traore is our only real threat and he is immature and injured .

    grealish has gone backwards .

i dont think the players are inspired by garde , agbon clearly isnt , and i didnt see richards busting a gut to get forward as hutton does.

we may well have recovered with sherwood, we will never know.

tactically we have no option but to go for broke and attack all out , 3 pointers are the only way now .

we are not yet down by the maths , as soon as we know i hope garde quits .

and most importantly we find a buyer who will grow the club.

Why should Garde go? None of the players in the squad are his? How many managers in league can say that? His points per game is better than Sherwoods this season.. think about that, Gardes tenure has been terrible buts it still not as bad as Sherwood was doing!

How many managers lose 8 games in a row and don’t get sacked? Sherwood had to go, the football was awfull, his signings were terrible and he signed off every signing last summer.. Sherwoods reign was pretty conclusive,, awfull football backed up with awfull results with awfull signings.. the worst being Gestede who was a 100% Sherwood signing (thanks god he wasn’t given 100% carte blanche for every player)

If peopel want to talk about sackings they should think about Lambert,, his points ratio was much better than Sherwoods and he kept us in the league having spent less money in a transfer window than Sherwood did

So who would you bring in? Nigel Pearson? God helps us!

I lay none of the blame with Garde ..!

I’d take Pearson in a heart beat. No reflection on Garde and none of this is really his fault but neither can hi bring passion, fight and fire back to the bellies of the player. The one thing he will bring that we will need next season is passion and fire – he will not suffer fools gladly.

We will be the Championships trophy scalp next season – he will at least not let us roll over.

I think it would be a crying shame for a great club such as ours if we went down the Old school up and at um manager approach. There are other ways to do well in the Championship and in recent years the teams that play progressive football have done well,, just look at Bournmouth last season. Garde for me needs to stay.. else we will end up being just another ‘Big team ‘ in the championship, playing old school football.

I recently said you can’t keep changing managers but once again I believe the club has made a managerial mistake with Garde. No premier league experience infact 12 months without a club when he signed and only French football on his cv apart from 33 games he played at Arsenal. I feel he was only signed because the clubs investment in young promising French players was back firing due to language issues!

We need a manager with good old fashioned English football experience, not a Yes man but someone with a backbone who can drum it into these players and the board what’s required to turn this situation around.

Everyone raised their eyebrows when Leicester signed Ranieri because he had ‘failed’ at Chelsea but that experience has done him proud. We can’t keep going for the cheap inexperienced option because as we can all see it leads to failure..

After Sherwood we should have gone for broke and offered Moyes a package he couldn’t refuse then backed him to the hilt in the Jan window!

Believe me the club has money it just doesn’t know how to spend it wisely and once again inexperience at board level is to blame.

It’s a case of The blind leading the blind!

I just dont buy into this ‘no premier league management experience.. ‘look at Flores at Watford, not even playing experince in England yet doing a great job. I also dont buy this ‘we need english players or players that knwo prem league..’ again look at watford.

I also dont buy this ‘bringing too many players in at one go..’ Watford brought in 19 new playere last summer with a manager that had no experience in English football and a number of players that have no experience of playing in england let alone in top flight.

Garde has been completely hamstrung.. we simply have no idea if he is the right man for the job.. but it seems some people think we should assume he cant do job. Im disapointed that people think that sacking the manager is going to be the answer to anything..its also morally wroung in my opinion, Garde can not take any blame.. we had just lost 8 games in a row when he came in and he was given zero money to spend!

Tbh I wanted Moyes but we didnt get him and i think Garde deserves a chance

I agree Watford have done well this season back in the Premier League with something to prove but we’ve never been out of the Premier League since it was introduced. We are ever present and a BIG CLUB and that’s what the people at Villa and sadly the fans have forgotten. Where will Watford finish next season or the season after?

Houllier, Mcleish, Lambert, Sherwood, Garde……. all poor poor appointments that shout NO AMBITION from a Villa board that don’t have footballing brain between them.

We all know Lerner has lost interest in the club because as a billionaire he could if he so wished invest money to re-build but he has chosen to let it rot in the hands of short sighted inexperienced businessmen.

Garde probably does deserve a chance but is he the man we really want at the helm or is it that he’s just slightly better than Sherwood, Mcleish etc etc.

The excitement has gone, the entertainment has gone we’re all left clinging to memories of better days….. the board had the chance to re-ignite the flame with a big name manager and a January transfer kitty but they’ve waved the white flag and surrendered!

you make some good points avillafan, I actually think the issues we have had over the years resulting in where we are now is more down to a lack of ‘Football’ people involved in the club as opposed to just investment.. our strategy has been hopeless, but I think we all thought this had been addressed when he appointed a Technical Director of football..

I personally don’t think Grade was a ‘cheap’ option. The cheap option would have been a Nigel Pearson type.. WBA have shown that approach is not all it’s cracked up to be either. I guarantee if we had taken Pullis we would not be happy fans now.. even if in a safer position

I think Grade was a long term solution, he had done wonders at Lyon with a small budget and his style of play would suite the fans.. give him a crock of */@#! and no budget and he was destined to fail.. I still have faith he can turn us around.. but my bets are he will walk on May 16th!
