Don’t know what is happening but I hope what he is doing is with intent of protecting the club 🙏
February 26, 2022 at 7:08 pm #2059736STATEMENT FROM ROMAN;
During my nearly 20-year ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future, while also playing a positive role in our communities”
“I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. I remain committed to these values. That is why I am today giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea FC.
“I believe that currently they are in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, players, staff, and fans.”
February 26, 2022 at 7:26 pm #2059744Makes sense Lucky given the current circumstances.
February 26, 2022 at 7:28 pm #2059747It’s what happens to the holding company fordstram nine…it is breaking even now and we are living within our means now but are 1 billion in debt to it…let’s hope we are protected
February 26, 2022 at 7:30 pm #2059748Whatever his political affiliations and history nine i can’t help believe he genuinely loves this club and wants what is best for it…I hope that’s not me being naive
February 26, 2022 at 7:38 pm #2059756February 26, 2022 at 7:47 pm #2059760Anyone a member of the foundation?
I agree LD, I believe RA loves the club.
I too am worried about the 1 billion pound debt!
I was expecting Chelsea to be seized by the UK government then sold to the highest bidder so very clever of RA.February 26, 2022 at 8:04 pm #2059765Lucky, Roman imo does genuinely love the Club imo he knows the Club can’t pay back the alleged £1.5 billion of debt and the only way that debt is ever going to be paid back is by Roman selling the Club.
The statement is about the running of the Club currently there is nothing to say that Roman wants to sell the Club. Nothing can be ruled out though.
February 26, 2022 at 8:14 pm #2059770Nine, if fordstram is out of reach of the government and he has handed over stewardship of the Club we may be ok.
As for selling the club, almost inevitable but its how the debt with fordstram is settled that determines if its possible. If west ham worth 600m we are worth double that easy and are self sufficient, but that debt complicates things massively.
February 26, 2022 at 8:22 pm #2059771Lucky, Fordstams Registered office address
Stamford Bridge, Fulham Road, London, England, SW6 1HS 😊The debt is to Roman he loves the Club and won’t look to hurt it and I don’t believe Roman will call in the debt it will imo only be repaid to Roman only if he sells the Club.
Anyway the Club couldn’t repay that level of debt to Roman and he’s always known that.
February 26, 2022 at 8:23 pm #2059772Srilankanlion, I hope this is both clever and ultimately in best interest of club bud 👍
February 26, 2022 at 8:24 pm #2059773Nine 😳
February 26, 2022 at 8:25 pm #2059774Can the government seize company and call it in nine?
February 26, 2022 at 8:35 pm #2059780The last thing the Government wants to be involved in is the running of Chelsea Football Club Lucky. They can’t even successfully run a party.😊
Check out Kaveh Solhekol report on Sky in which he states Roman is not looking to relinquish ownership nor is he looking to call in the debt and providing he’s not sanctioned he can also continue investing in the Club. Matt Law from the Telegraph who is close to all things Chelsea reports similarly.
February 26, 2022 at 8:41 pm #2059781Lol
Nine, looking in to it, Fordstram may be like it’s predecessor company chelsea Ltd, in that it’s not owned by Roman at all…it is in debt to Roman which is something else altogether. Roman loaned to a holding company who loaned to chelsea… Is chelsea FC technically an asset of Roman given the above and the recent handing over of stewardship?
February 26, 2022 at 8:42 pm #2059783That’s positive nine 👍
February 26, 2022 at 8:46 pm #2059784No it seems roman is the controlling party but the company is in debt to him and Chelsea ultimately in debt to fordstram…convoluted as hell
February 26, 2022 at 8:53 pm #2059787Lucky. ultimately the debt is owed to Roman he knew the Club could never pay it back he won’t look to harm the Club and he knows the only way that he will ever get that money back is by selling the Club which according to two reliable sources he has no intention of doing.
February 26, 2022 at 8:59 pm #2059790The one thing missing above all…any statement from Abramovich denouncing the actions of Putin …
February 26, 2022 at 9:16 pm #2059796Yeah Niblue, his daughter has but nothing from Roman on the situation….Not that is mandatory that he speak on it, but…
