Irrespective of everything else that happens in this transfer window it’s absolutely imperative now that we fuck that narcissistic, full of shit, past it twat Ronaldo right off at the very earliest available opportunity. If the horrible cunt hangs around much longer ETH might as well pack it all in now because he will be completely undermined from start to finish, and have even less chance of success than he has now.

There was a moment in the first half when ETH called the cunt over for a quick word of instruction and all he got was an arrogant shrug of the shoulders and a look of contempt, he then apparently left the stadium at HT after he got subbed, the ungrateful, arrogant fucktard has now pissed all over his previous ‘legacy’ for me and joined the ranks of my most hated ex players of all time alongside the likes of Pogba and Di Maria.

I’d now much rather us finish 8th without the cunt, than 6th with him, simple as that.

Whatever! Without Ronaldo we’re completely fucked this season.

    My team for Brighton would be;

    Heaton
    Laird, Varane, Martinez, Malacia
    Garner Van de Beek
    Sancho Eriksen Grenacho
    Ronaldo

Saw none of the game but every review I read said that Ronaldo is going to be a serious problem as he seems to have neither the interest in, nor the physical capability of, playing Ten Hag football. His day is done as a top class player because every manager wants to play a pressing game and he’s just not up to it anymore. Watch Messi be fucked off to wherever by PSG next summer too because he can’t do it either, maybe they could both play in Italy where there’s more time on the ball but that’s about it. Even Bayern have said that there’s no place for Ronaldo there. They’re smart enough to know that he never worked hard enough to warrant being part of their team, ever. As good as he was, he was never enough of a team player to be part of Bayern. Even Lewandowski understood the team came first, even a few years back when he complained the other players could have done more to help him get more goals was firmly told that the team comes first, you are only a part of it. It’s something that Ronaldo hasn’t grasped for years.

    @blacky – nail on head.
While there is obviously a whole backstory on the numbers behind the deal – his fee, his wages, his bonuses, the impact on commercial deals etc – the fact of the matter is he will do incalculable damage if he hangs around. He undermines managers, dicks on team mates and makes everyone around him absolutely bloody miserable.

For me he is the very thesis of all that was wrong under the previous regime. A CEO who thought he was a footballing authority buying a wholly unnecessary old luxury item for a manager who didnt know his arse from his elbow.

I’m trusting that the comments by ETH on Saturday that CR7 needs a lot of training means the narcisisstic one will be nowhere near the squad this weekend….and hopefully will be never again if some class of divorce can be finalised.

@Happy- are you a fucking troll masquerading as some hyper positive Utd fan? I reckon you must be a Liverpool fan at heart. The shit you come out with is so far from what other reds are saying it’s clear you are on a wind up.

I just can’t have another year of McfuckingFred! Jesus Christ.
Hope to God that ETH has some kind of tactical masterplan up his sleeve for this season otherwise it’s going to be a very long one. His 3 signings need to go straight into the first 11 for starters and he needs at least 2 more.

Fuck knows what will happen with Ronaldo but i do think we have much more of a goal threat with him up front. The Brighton game is coming around very quickly and there are still so many things that need addressing.
    Right, where’s the paracetamol…?!

Garnacho was exiting on the ball, but needs to cross with his left foot. Certainly an exciting prospect who should get games this season and push Rashford for a starting spot.

Thought Eriksen was good, lovely touches and some great passing. VDB was ok, fitted in well just seems to lack that final ball. Made some decent tackles and a lot of play went through him.

Thought Garner did well considering he hasn’t had a lot of minutes. You can see there is a player in there. Made a silly mistake in our own penalty box, but recovered well.

Laird was a strange one, got no-where near his man when they cut through us from ko, but grew into the match, is comfortable on the ball and got forward well. Wouldn’t write him off just yet.

    Chong won’t play again.

Certainly need more players to come in and the players need to gel into the system, but most of them already look better than they have for a long time.

Long way to go for us, but some of the passing and play was much better than it has been for ages.

Just need to take plenty of paper for all those paper planes should future games peter out!

Ronaldo will score more than Martial, but isn’t interested. Didn’t press at all, but lots of nice touches. He should be moved on if he doesn’t want to play.

We are then down to past the bare bones as Martial will continue to be Martial. If he can get off his arse and put a shift in, he might do well, but no-one would take that gamble.

McNeil didn’t come on yesterday, and they went with Amad up top for the second half up until they made a few more subs and it looked like we went with a false nine at the end.

If Ronaldo goes they need a striker, or two. and it seems we are linked with the youngster from Salzberg and a mid-20’s striker that has been injured a lot recently but might be available.

They need to sort out the transfers asap and just get on with it. Players can then be dumped up until the window closes.

This pre season has shown us that there is absolutely no need to have Telles, Bailly, Jones, Tuanzebe, AWB, one of Dalot/ Laird, Elanga, Chang, Pellistri, Ronaldo in next season’s squad. Sell/ release the older players. Sell/ loan the younger ones with sell-on and buy-back clauses for the younger ones

Happy, Ronaldo is done at United. Half a million a week for a player who’s been AWOL and is effectively still on strike when he’s on the pitch. Sell/ release him and replace him with one of dozens of decent strikers currently available. Its too late to bring in a world class striker. That will have to wait till next summer

While I’m at it, no thanks to that beanpole Sasa Kalajdzic. I don’t mind a target man but this lad is just a poor man’s Peter Crouch

Yeah, strange one that. Though ETH seemed to like a target man at Ajax – with Haller.

BTW Martinez looks good, very promising. Tenacious player. Needs the right partner. Varane isn’t as good at passing as I think he’ll need to be.

Its just so easy to write Ronaldo off and then he always bounces back. I agree if we really doesn’t want to be there then he should go. But Martial won’t score as many goals as Ronaldo would…

@happy – Get a grip, it’s Ronaldo who has written us off, in particular the new manager and his teammates. In effect he said that none of them are worthy of his ‘mighty’ presence and that it’s beneath him to even try and pay back the massive faith that MUFC put in him when he was still a young kid learning his trade, which at one point around 2005/6 could easily have gone tits up for him had he been at the wrong club.
I don’t care if the fucker would score more goals than Martial, his very presence in the dressing room is going to be toxic for ETH to deal with if he doesn’t get his own way, that much is blindingly obvious.

@happy, nobody is suggesting Martial will score more goals than Ronaldo will. Fuck it, after Ronaldo, Martial is one of the top players many would want moved on next

What is undeniable though is that our front 3 in total will score a lot more goals when Ronaldo is out of the team than in it. That’s the point. World class player in his day but doesn’t improve the overall team now… plus he’s treated us like cunts

Hopefully ETH gets a warm welcome on Sunday. Pressure will be on now Poch is out of a job and our board have failed him during the window so far. Let’s hope he hits the ground running.

@homer, I’d agree that a trio of Martial, Rashford and Sancho would probably score more together than with Ronaldo in the team. He demands being the focus of the attack but doesn’t run, expects the ball on a plate. Bruno’s form went off a cliff when he arrived and he doesn’t play well for Portugal either when Ronaldo is in the team. Now, don’t get me wrong, Bruno is far from perfect but he was infinitely better with a more mobile front three than when Ronaldo arrived. Despite his goals he disrupted the balance of the team and the dressing room.
In hindsight I’d be interested to see how OGS would have done if CR7 had never been signed.
