I think Fred will be the planned partner for FdJ, he’s the only CM we have who can cover the groundMassive upgrade on Shaw and Telles but yeah, overall United have been the usual United, not very good. Ben Thornley and Stewart Gardner spout more propaganda than Goebbels.
You’re being a bit negtive there , this looks much better than last season despite the opposition. You can see that they are shifting it quicker and more often than not forwards which is a major upgrade on the last couple of years at least. The new style is showing up a couple of players too who arent up to it and they’ll either learn to improve in training or be replaced.
Lisandro being a better footballer at centre back for a start should help a quicker turnover, the full backs look sharper, De Jong or whoever comes in will clearly move it quicker and more forward than ScottPositive signs despite the misery on here
It’s not all bad and it’s early days for ETH, you can see they’re buying into his philosophy which is good but they’re not there yet. Work done but a lot more to do

More a 4-3-3 this half
Definitely an improvement in mentality and drive this season compared to last, but it’s all well and good doing it in pre season when the pressure is off – will these same players show th same drive on a cold December night when we’re 0-1 down and the oppositon fans are ripping them a new one? That’s the big question.
Enjoying the pre-season so far though; some great football in patches.
Nothing I’d like more than for us to improve dramatically, but this opposition is so bad it’s just impossible to judge. And clearly, some of you fuckers need to book in at Specsavers 😂😂

Great to see some spirit, and players backing each other up too.
With Ronaldo in the team Rashford, Martial and Sancho never look like scoring.
Take him out and all 3 look like they’ve got a goal in them
Have to say, Martial is really playing excellently so far in pre season – always looking to run in behind and bring players into play and fast at getting the ball moving.
The hope continues to grow!
It doesnt matter who the opposition is as our last few seasons have told us. Regardless of who it is this is a massive change for these players by the total change in mentality. Theyre clearly being coached.
Maguires still slow, Scott is still shit etc I’m not saying we’ll win the league but if this is a sign of ETH and his coaching then great I am more optimistic which is great after how depressing it got last season
He’s looked a lot better mate, and Sancho’s looking better with every game, but happy’s mate Gashy is the same old Gashy, despite the tap in. I’m looking forward to seeing some youngsters.
