JM – I hope you’re right mate because if Rashford is the same old Rashford then he’s in line for 30 goals and assists this season!!
    😉😎🥹

@moral – nah, unfortunately it’s the lads mistake where he miskicked that caused it; ETH wants the team playing at a high tempo so you’d expect him to deal with anything coming into him; he just failed to deal with that one and correctly saw red.

Hopefully he’ll learn from that one.

No doubt a very poor touch but caused by a woeful pass by David to Telles and Telles then failing to deal with it.

Will need to re-watch it again then – in any case, we fell off quite a bit after the main team went out; hope some of th youngsters can stake a claim.

I’d rather he started with a mix of experience and youth and continue that theme with changes in the second half, rather than all experience then all youth, otherwise the youngsters will never bed in.

If Rashford scores 30 goals next season happy, I’ll show my balls in Burton’s window as the saying goes.

@jm1502. I have to disagree with you there. Ten Hag is clearly looking to implement his style of play with some kind of familiarity as best as he can before the season starts and the pressure mounts. If we were in a stable position (squad and club wise) I am sure he would afford the youngsters more of a mix to let them flourish but right now we are in the doldrums. Look at Liverpool, they played a very mixed eleven against us over the 90 because they are not in a rebuilding phase and are basically in cruise-control.

For now, Ten Hag has to make it clear to the squad that the eleven that starts is the first eleven – rotation is not an option until we start putting up some winning/unbeaten streaks in the Premier League.

@jm1502. As for Rashford. I have no clue where Happyhurling is pulling his “30 goals and assists” stats from but it certainly isn’t from Optima or my memory.

Good to see Rashford score but it was an easy tap in after Sancho (who looks incredibly exciting for the season coming up) and van de Beek did all the work for him – he still can’t beat a man and can’t pass with decent weight and/or direction which means he will not fit Ten Hag’s system in the long run.

Not surprised with Ten Hag’s approach hatters and I get it mate, but from a personal perspective I’d just like to see a more exciting mix.

When will Eriksen join the squad then? And Martinez? Would be good to have them played with the team before the season starts.

If they are going to boo Maguire then they should boo the whole fucking team. Morons. But unfortunately there are plenty of them out there to go around these days. Same clowns who are now creaming their kecks over Martial. A fucker who has downed tools more times than he has actually tried to put a shift in. Embarrassing

Just a quick observation gents but I think we still 100% need that central midfielder who can not only be a defensive Rick but can dictate the tempo of a game. I remember watching Makelelle playing for Chelski and thinking everything is going through him years and years ago. We need a similar player in my eyes.

    #2115432

@Warwick Road North – totally agree mate but the question is: who? Is De Jong the answer? I’m not so sure myself, but can’t see many other players out there who are available and can do that.

Hope to see Varane, Garner, vdB and Mejbri start against Villa on Saturday

Do we expect Martinez and Eriksen to be available for the games in Spain the week after?
