    Hi Thud,

    Bit nervous regarding the “Wembley” effect, but feeling cautiously optimistic for this afternoon. Three one win for the boys…sorry Riddler…hope I haven’t jinxed you!

    Great game for the neutrals but in the end it was Conte’s tactics that won the day

    Thought Spurs played reasonably well and on another day would have scored a few goals and won the game. Poor mistake for the winner by Lloris but a wonderful free kick that no one would have stopped

    Thought we kept Ali very quiet, Kane reasonably quiet but a great effort that hit the post and restricted Erikson to just free kicks

    Job well done for us and good to get off the mark and silence a few critics in the press who wanted to write us off after day 1

    Still feel that both clubs will be in the mix come May and that you will break your duck at Wembley. KTBFFH

    Thanks CFC. We certainly played well. Did well to come back into the game and get the equaliser.
    Shame about the goalkeeping howler by Lloris. But he has saved us so many times so all is forgiven.
    Regarding the Prediction League table…no change to week 1. We all hoped that Spurs would either win or draw.
    Roll on next game. See if we can break the Wembley hoodoo against Burnley (conquerors of Chelsea…gulp!!)

    IT’S GOING TOP BE A 7-0 ROUT, just like in September 1968 ( a game I gleefully attended )

    I’d forgotten that game Riddler so I googled it for a memory jog. Greaves, Gilzean, Chivers and Jones all playing up front, no wonder we got 7! Those were the days aye, none of that ‘one up front’ nonsense.

    Hi Thud;

    3-1 win for the boys accompanied by plenty of noise and an atmosphere comparable to that of “The Lane” please.

    Cheers Bloggs

    The Wembley Curse has struck again!!! Apart from Ecuadorspurs, the rest of us were left bitterly disappointed with the late goal by Burnley. Our hopeful predictions of a first victory for Spurs at the temporary home were dashed by Woody.
    At least August is out of the way now and Harry will start banging the goals in. He likes to give everyone a head start does our Harry.
