It’s not a Wembley curse, more a case of old habits creeping back in. We’re traditionally leaky in the final minutes of a game.
September 8, 2017 at 1:57 pm #15294021-1 against Everton, always been a tricky place to visit.
Eriksen to score.
September 8, 2017 at 2:47 pm #1529444Hello fellow predictors. Welcome back to the premier league. It was been a long 2 weeks.
My prediction is Everton 0 – Spurs 2. Everton are a good side but I feel that we have been building momentum. COYSSeptember 9, 2017 at 9:34 am #1529624I think we’ll have a reaction to s couple of below par performances. Everton1Spurs 3
September 9, 2017 at 11:45 am #1529658Neverton 2 Mighty Spurs 3
September 9, 2017 at 1:17 pm #1529696Ok Guys, Ecuador out of the world cup after winning our first 4 games including beating Argentina in Buenos Aires!! Today going for the usual 1-1 v Everton. Always tough up there.
September 9, 2017 at 1:59 pm #1529745Oops nearly forgot. Forever the optimist – don’t shoot me down 1-4
September 9, 2017 at 3:01 pm #1529815Hi Thud.
Forever the pessimist…2-1 to Everton.
Cheers Bloggs.
September 10, 2017 at 3:23 am #1530123Bloggy, Bloggy, Bloggy!!! Hi mate, have you not learned anything over the years. Spurs to win everything this year is again my prediction. Hope all is well in Bloggyland and all yours are well. Haven’t been here for some time, but will endeavour to visit more often. Catch up again soon. COYS.
September 10, 2017 at 7:57 pm #1530377Hey Crespur!
What’s this…a guest appearance?? Good to hear from you old friend. How is life on the other side of the planet? Family all well I trust?
Regarding my rather negative propensity to score forecasting, you know what they say about “old dogs” and “new tricks” eh? In my defence I would point out that the only game we’d won prior to yesterday was away at Newcastle which I called as a loss. Since then I’ve gone with forecasts of wins against Chelsea and Burnley both of whom we failed against, so on that basis alone, it’s probably best for all concerned if I continue to be the prophet of doom. Granted it’s a pretty poor excuse but it’s the best I can come up with.
Generally speaking I have to say that I’ve been genuinely delighted with the boys under Poch’s reign thus far, and am further encouraged by the performances this season, if a little disappointed with the results. As to winning every trophy we’re in for…well that sounds a bit like your usual upside down thinking! Still you never know. After all…just on the law of averages…you’ve got to call something right on this page eventually eh?
All the best mate.
Bloggs.September 11, 2017 at 5:13 pm #1530665Superb win for the mighty Spurs. Very professional performance. Could have comfortably scored 6 on Saturday….when did we last play on a Saturday at 3pm?!?!?! Was worth watching Match of the Day.
Scoff23 was the closest to getting the correct score line at 1-3.
No shows from brenlong, banjo-chuckers & griff2…come on guys where are you?

brenlong 0 pointsSeptember 11, 2017 at 6:56 pm #1530698Hola Bloggy,
I see you have come up with a similar strategy that I was using when you ran the predition league. Remember I predicted 1-1 every week and we kept on winning, with the occasional empate, so I would not change the system, sacrificing any chance of winning the prediction league. Your continual “defeat” prediction seems to work for you so carry on mi amigo.
saludos
JuanitoSeptember 11, 2017 at 8:15 pm #1530739Hola Juanito,
How are you old friend! I trust all is well with you and yours?Indeed I well remember your run of one all draws back in the day. I’d like to claim that my recent predictions of imminent defeat were forecast with the same magnanimous, selfless motivation as you displayed in those days. Very much a case of putting the welfare of the Club above the purely selfish persuit of winning the “prediction league”…Unfortunately you and I both know that in reality I’m just total crap at calling the bloody result!
All the best mate.
Bloggs.September 12, 2017 at 1:55 pm #1530942Bloggy, let’s be brave!!
I am going for a 2-0 win and you can have my 1-1 draw.
Gracias Thud
September 12, 2017 at 10:47 pm #1531104It won’t be easy but I think we can scrape it. Spurs 1 – 0 Dortmund
September 13, 2017 at 7:54 am #1531130Hi Thudd ..I don’t think you are including CL, but please clarify. If you are , I am predicting an emphatic end to our Wembley Woes , with a 3-1 victory
September 13, 2017 at 8:39 am #1531141Same opinion as Rddler; 3-1 to Spurs v Borussia
September 13, 2017 at 9:48 pm #1531638Typical aye Scoff and Riddler, the one time you get it spot on we are not playing? You know how that jockey felt now who won the Grand National that was abandoned
September 14, 2017 at 4:32 am #1531708He He! Well Ricky, can’t speak for Riddler, but in my case its the occasional symptom of the ” being- right-twice -a -day, broken clock” syndrome! Cheers
