About the same time daily, it comes up with a connection error. It is round about lunch time.

Yes, that’s been a problem for around a week now. The technical team are confident of resolving it over the weekend. Fingers crossed.

    Yup been having problems.
As well as the problem mentioned above also having a problem where I’d go and log in then go onto a thread to comment then it would ask me to log in again. When I do I lose the comment and then it’s vicious circle.
Not even sure this post will get thru to you.

Ginger, I’ve actually experienced that problem myself on the phone, but never if I use the log-in box to the right of the forum (or just beneath it on a mobile). I think it’s that link that says you must be logged in which is the problem.

Not a long-term solution, I know, but hopefully that’ll help you.

Bring back thumbs up/down . We all enjoy seeing feedback from others but nobody wants to write it . Hardly worth writing anything without it and also makes this site boring . I’m sure you have already lost many people and I’m sure many more would comment if you had thumbs up / down .

Bort, what browser are you using just out interest?

If you are for example using Firefox, from the search engines, you can download for free, ad-blocker which will prevent practically all the ads/pop-ups appearing when you logging on or pulling us these pages.

Nobody to talk to on the site. All friends from the old site have gone as nobody likes the new site.Surely you must see this.

Not sure I’d agree with thumbs up thumbs down? Maybe just a thumb up? How you can’t see that’s back to the school days of the team choosing itself… Guess you were never the last one picked?

To have the power to criticise someone’s style of writing somehow seems — wrong. Great when you’re the popular one. Besides, there were a few that took the trouble to clear the cookies and repeatedly click up or down. I know. I did it more than once: just to prove a point.

My biggest problem with the site was the trolls! But then it’s the internet so what do we expect?

Learned a lot from this site, learned not to bite, value my own opinion and most of all — ignore those posters that demand a response. In the end, I came across as needy. Which just exasperated the problem.

If I have something to say, I say it and move on. If the other poster wants to keep on trying to win an argument, rather than express it — then that’s their problem.

Agree Thumbs up is fine for quick approval but thumbs down just bought negativity and Trolls trying to spam it. Ultimately if you were going to thumbs down on the old version of the site this new version filters the trolls and instead of thumbing down you get a response from people with their angle/opinion which is more admirable than some punk (probably a bitter twisted Liverpool/Arsenal fan (sorry but some of you (not all) have been bent and mutated by a lack of silverware over the years and just see hatred)) spamming the button.

Anyone hating the new platform just needs to let the new socks become old socks again.

Thumbs up/Likes is fine, but honestly, why would anybody want to thumb somebody down? Don’t get that nonsense.

If you don’t agree, just speak out, but maintain your counsel as best as you can!!!!!

    David B, for some reason, I was often nominated as Captain in my early age of Year 7, and then 4th pick when I was 16;

But I completely appreciate in DNA what you mean mate; we had some loud mouth sat front of the desk in our classroom always shouting out the answer without sticking his hand up like he should; often got preferred as first choice and blagged to us he had trials at Liverpool.

The point is mate, nobody is treated as inferior here and everybody is made welcome.

Thanks for that had a great laugh, get back in your box mate. And really pleased you were captain. “For some reason” For some reason, meaning, you were good. And 4th pick is pretty good. You lucky, lucky, bastard; I used to lie awake at night dreaming of being 4th.

I’ve nothing against the elite if you became a Steven Gerrard (a player I idolised) then I’d pay my money to see you. No different than Shearer. The fact he wore a black and white top, of course, gives me that extra buzz. We need sporting heroes, let’s not take my analogy too far. By the way, the elite sits with clubs as well and Liverpool from my generation was simply the best. So much so that’s become a genre thing — Liverpool in my mind still set the bar.

As for the loud mouth in the class, don’t think so, I was in the remedial class (oh dear). Night school and hours going through my spelling and gramma put that right, well, at least, I think it has?

What made you think my post was about you anyway? I’m sure you only give thumbs up and you are a standing example of equality? So nice you think the rest of us are?

I on most occasions have to log in 3 or 4 times to actually write a message. Becoming very frustrating.

MrBest, if you use the log-in option to the right of the forum you shouldn’t have a problem. The problem is with the link in the message about not being logged in. Obviously that needs resolving, but I never get logged out when using the main box.

    I hope that makes sense?
