My main issue with the website is that it seems to have lost its appeal.
It previously had the USP which went so very well with the site’s name of Teamtalk, giving a central forum in the Your Say page, a dynamic ever changing page of constant free flowing football talk where comments came and went, and all matters football related were discussed.
Extended beyond this were the well built Your Say pages for each team, following the same dynamic approach, and of course the branding of each user to their team. It was really the best site for inter-team discussion.
The opportunity arose to improve Teamtalk for mobile users as I understood it, but instead the site was entirely revamped to mimic the forums of circa 2000, a step backward if anything. Whereas I previously found myself typing “www.teamt…” everytime I opened a web browser, I no longer use the site but to return occasionally to see if it’s any good, but alas it’s now the same or inferior to any other football site out there, and I now find myself browsing the likes of BBC Sport and Sky Sports which are no longer in its shadow – not for anything they’ve done, but for what Teamtalk has now become.
The only analogy I can think is of new owners who run your club into the ground and destroy its image, with the supporters helpless, only here the loyalty cannot last. I’d be interested to know what’s happened to Teamtalk’s web traffic since the change, but either way I don’t suppose it’ll make any difference, given this is my first post since the new site took the place of the old, and sadly it is likely to be my last.
It’s only a website, but there’ll always be that void now that that something so special is gone.
May 27, 2016 at 9:02 am #1037729I have to admit, I used TT for years and years and I’ve never been able to fully get back into this new comment system. Seems a small pocket of regulars still post but it’s just never been the same since.
June 1, 2016 at 3:31 pm #1045097Team pages with archived pages of threads need a search bar.
Example Chelsea page has multiple threads labeled “hazard” causing fragmentation of topic. People don’t want to sieve through pages of posts to find the appropriate thread to post in so they start a new one every time. A search bar may remedy this.
June 17, 2016 at 11:06 am #1067739I don’t know if this has been mentioned but when you click on a user’s profile it just sends you to the main page!
June 28, 2016 at 8:54 am #1082625Experience the same problem. I guess when someone got exposed of bookmarking my profile and stalking me, they took some action.
June 28, 2016 at 12:56 pm #1083390You are seriously mental, old bean. It’s very funny!

June 28, 2016 at 5:14 pm #1083996when you go to users profile it always ends up going to Teamtalk main page-so it is an issue, you have the right to change your avator or whatever.
June 29, 2016 at 7:12 pm #1085733I’ve emailed the editor and told him/her about the problems with viewing profiles. Hopefully the problem gets sorted. I’ll post here again if I get a reply
July 7, 2016 at 4:02 pm #1098363There is a moderator editing my comments and putting “girlfriend” in them. This is an unacceptable abuse of the privileges bestowed upon someone as a moderator. I’d like this person to have their privileges revoked as they don’t seem capable of handling them like a responsible adult tasked with a job.
July 7, 2016 at 4:05 pm #1098375This is the greatest comment I have ever read.
July 7, 2016 at 4:14 pm #1098411This shit didn’t happen on the old format as most of the moderators did their best to remain neutral and unbias aside from a few opinions here and there. Now they’ve just given the privileges to random joe commenters on this site who clearly don’t respect the title, site, or opinions of posters.
July 7, 2016 at 5:20 pm #1098525Alex, in order to investigate this you need to contact the Editor via e mail at the following e mail address editor@teamtalk.com
July 7, 2016 at 5:55 pm #1098576Hahaha!
July 8, 2016 at 1:20 pm #1099767I can’t say it’s the brightest idea of having to scroll through hundreds of posts to get to the latest one.
The numbered pages worked much better.July 8, 2016 at 1:30 pm #1099794A while back I reported a problem and now I’m getting emails every time someone posts on this link. It’s starting to piss me off. Is there any way to stop them?
July 8, 2016 at 2:40 pm #1099989Yeah came here to say pretty much what ginger said. The new change today is terrible.
At the moment, any long thread is virually unreadable… not to mention a huge download to the browser (problematic for people on mobile network with data allowances etc).
Bring back the pages ASAP.
If you don’t want new pages to bury recent posts, then list most recent at the top…July 9, 2016 at 11:19 am #1100931I was going to ask why the pages had disappeared from each thread. Sorry, but that decision just doesn’t make sense to me. There is a thread on the Liverpool page that was 27 pages long or thereabouts. Now,when you click on the thread,it goes right back to the start, which means obviously scrolling all the way down to read the most recent post. Crazy in my opinion. There was nothing wrong with numbering the pages
July 12, 2016 at 7:30 am #1104444@suarezsteeth. Agreed on the thread page numbering, it was much easier to navigate before.
@Editors. I suspect the new idea of allowing people to post with once off nicknames will backfire because it makes mischief easier. I have already seen profiles by the name of “Ronaldo’s Bollocks” and “warro is a bellend”. Decorum will be lost.
July 12, 2016 at 7:36 am #1104450as well as many fake multi accounts of regular posters, mods sort it out now before it degrades further
