Not sure if anyone has read robbos book and the end of the storm and it says in there, there is absolutely no issue with each other on or off the pitch. They both laughed about the hysteria made when mane was taken off v burnley and was giving out
Mane has been dreadful this season. He has said it himself. He’s been played in a good few times by salah but missed numerous chances. It’s the media making all this up and fans believe it.
May 12, 2021 at 8:36 am #1952383Good man Sean.
So not only is there no evidence of this supposed “toxic” relationship but a member of the team has come out and completely dismissed it outright.May 12, 2021 at 10:54 am #1952434Cant wait to put this season to bed. Just the whole thing.
Still, if you offered us the last 2 seasons we’d be delighted.
May 12, 2021 at 10:55 am #1952435Id take Son except that he’s 28. We need to target younger talents, so our entire team doesn’t end up past it at the same time.
May 12, 2021 at 11:07 am #1952439VVD tells LFC that he’s not going to the Euros with Holland and will instead focus on being fit for Liverpool for pre season. 💪🏼
Just need Gomez, Hendo and TAA to do the same now.
May 12, 2021 at 11:41 am #1952453Why would Trent not go to the Euros? I bet he’ll be selected by Southgate.
As for Van Dijk, I just think it’s too soon, and too big a risk for him to go to an international tournament, without even played for his club yet after injury
May 12, 2021 at 11:48 am #1952457No reason.
I just don’t want him to.
And I’m aware I’ve no say either.May 12, 2021 at 11:50 am #1952458This myth about Salah and Mane having a toxic relationship is absolute rubbish.
Looking on the pitch, where it counts above all else, I’ve seen them pass to each other consistently over the seasons.
Sure, Salah can be a bit selfish sometimes, and annoy his teammates (not only Mane) by not passing the ball, but that’s just because he wants to score, it’s got nothing to do with Mane.
Also, off the pitch, there is no requirement for them to be good friends or socialise together, all that matters is what they do on the pitch
May 12, 2021 at 12:39 pm #1952475This supposedly Salah and Mane issue is just the press trying to stir things. Did the same with Suarez and Sturridge.
May 12, 2021 at 1:43 pm #1952500Ginger, stop saying that Salah and Mane have a toxic relationship. you’re perpetuating falsehoods.
May 12, 2021 at 2:10 pm #1952513Ginger, same here, don’t want ANY of our players going to the Euros! Selfish get. Lol.
May 12, 2021 at 2:24 pm #1952517MrM: I suggest you reread Ginger’s post
May 12, 2021 at 2:42 pm #1952529Oh, he read what I posted just fine, Kopite.
He does this.
It’s childish.
Unfortunately it’s quite common.May 12, 2021 at 2:44 pm #1952530plenty players have viewed each other as rivals rather than team mates, Salah and Mane are not the first to do that and certainly will not be the last…
The main reason why I think the front three is getting broken apart is because of the unheard of amount of games they have played together, like there is not a single frontline in the world of football that has as many games together or scored as many goals together…
And I can´t see how the team evolves without letting someone leave, in a perfect world they could all stay but considering their current transfer value now and what it will be if we give them all a new contract I can´t see us driving all their values down…
I´m pretty sure the club will sell to cover costs and help with our transfer strategy, for example the only way we can afford Mbappe is if we sell one of the front three and Mbappe will still hold great value in the market in 4-5 years… He will still be 200-300 million worth if not more depending on the market, tv-deals etc. While Mane, Salah and Bobby will be worth next to nothing 4-5 years and I think we need to get that transfer value in for the future, cash in now so we can invest in the next generation…
May 12, 2021 at 2:45 pm #1952532Any evidence that Salah and Mané view each other as rivals?
May 12, 2021 at 3:01 pm #1952544They are rivals for the crown of Africa, they have been rivals for the golden boot and one of them is winning…
May 12, 2021 at 3:02 pm #1952545Mak : I don’t have a personal bias toward Salah, in fact I was defending him when he first joined and missing many chances, and even agreed with Carra sometimes back when he said he was underappreciated by the fans. I could add a few more things that makes me think there are certain dynamics related to Salah that are not helping especially with the injuries that we got, but I’ll leave it at that for now and hope my take on the matter is incorrect, because otherwise I smell trouble ahead.
May 12, 2021 at 3:09 pm #1952546“They are rivals for the crown of Africa, they have been rivals for the golden boot and one of them is winning…”
That’s you putting your perspective on the situation.
Where’s the evidence that THEY view each other as rivals?
And where’s the evidence that any of this affects their relationship?May 12, 2021 at 3:13 pm #1952549don´t be so fucking naive mate, of course they are rivals, they are still team mates but they are rivals… There is nothing wrong with that, plenty great strike partnership have hated each others guts but they still managed to drive each other to be better players just like Salah and Mane have done in the past…
May 12, 2021 at 4:29 pm #1952572So no evidence at all that they view each other as rivals and this has affected their relationship then.
Sound.
