Chris – totally agree that one of the main strengths of Jose was his abvility to unite a dressing room, instil that winning mentality into his players and make us so successful

Some would argue he failed to do that at ManU and I must say that I now think that many of Jose’s attributes and methods are outdated but for any manager to be able to do that to a team is half the battle to winning

From where I am sitting, Sarri has not got that yet and I am not sure if he is capable of doing so or is his too entrenched in his own ways…? KTBFFH

Anyone who believes this type of football is good for the team is a fool, bring back those exciting wing wizards and sublime midfielders not all this boring backwards and sideways passing.

To be fair there have been games, well actually half games, where we have played some sublime football so I think that there is a degree of promise there in his football. Feel we/he needs a couple more players who are comfortable on the ball and who do not panic when pressed high up the pitch and then of course be able to play for the full 90 minutes in every game…? Difficult times with all this uncertainty and probably good that the season is over and the dust can settle. Probably not much more to discuss at this point in time re Sarri or his football until he either goes or stays. Just disappointed that his legacy is creating a divide which is disappointing. To those concerned about issues that are out of our control, keep your chins up and enjoy your holidays. I think we all need one. I am worn out. It has been a difficult but successful season and I would like to thank everybody for being part of a great place here, and especially those that make it happen.

    Dan Levene’s comment on twitter.

Been to 63 Chelsea games this season.
Chatted to people about Maurizio Sarri – train/stadium/pub – at each.
    Found a range of opinions.
But the number I’ve met who expressed the cultish belief he is a genius, so forcefully parroted by so many on social media, is precisely zero.

67.. Call me old fashioned, but twitter is a big pile of stinking poo… as for anyone hailing Sarri as a genius, never once read that on these pages or in online reporting. I dont bother with twitter because its full of brain dead zombies and bots. more bots than humans now parroting the brain dead hive collective as directed by algorithms. Hence why incorrect material can spread so quickly on the site, its pushed by bots to sympathetic ears/ accounts, hence why its nothing more than an echo chamber of misinformation, much like the claim sarri is and was a genius.

Read quirkology and the chapter on computers that flatter humans… Its an age old problem… 🙂

As for your posts, theyre about establishing confirmation bias. Hence why after the manager has gone you’re looking for support in your opinions as to why Sarri has gone.

Its Lampard or Rafa and I give either 6 to nine months or to our first dip in form before Twitter becomes another whirl of sack the manager and everyone laps it up.

To be fair Dan Levene is a freelance journalist who covers Chelsea issues for a number of media titles and is often a credible source on Chelsea FC.

But let’s not go here again fellas whether Sarri is a genius or a dud is irrelevant to us all now because he’s gone.

    Time to move on.

The King is dead long live the King.

67, it was a reflection of what Levene found from talking to the match going fans over 63 games home and away it didn’t say Sarri was a bad Manager just that nobody Levene talked to across all of those games home and away thought Sarri a genius.

But it’s a sensitive subject and given that Sarri had gone now probably best left alone. Cheers 999
