If Casemiro was ever “world class” those days are long, long gone never to return. As for the game, yet another 3rd rate performance from midfield upwards and Anthony yet again showing nothing other than pointless fancy flicks, has he actually sat his full back down once since he joined us yet?
Ronaldo is so far past it now it’s embarrassing and despite his smart finish Sancho does the barest minimum it’s possible to do every time he plays, he needs a gigantic rocket up his fucking lazy cockney arse.September 15, 2022 at 7:01 pm #2134701Obviously Casemiro isn’t match fit yet. Shall we give him some time to settle in or shall we write him off after 17 minutes of playing for us?!
September 15, 2022 at 7:09 pm #2134707@happy – How many years are you going to give him to “settle down” then mate?, at least six like your big and daft ex mate Jonah?!😂😂😂
September 15, 2022 at 7:14 pm #2134712Malacia looks better with every game.
September 15, 2022 at 7:15 pm #2134714@Blacky-Spot on about Sancho
September 15, 2022 at 7:22 pm #2134719Yep, it very much looks at the moment like we spunked up 160 million on a couple of wingers with no pace.
September 15, 2022 at 7:28 pm #2134722I’m failing to see what if anything Anthony actually has got to offer, zero pace or end product, can’t beat his man one on one and all he seems to want to do is cut back on his left foot and play an easy pass either sideways or backwards. Come back Dan fucking James all is forgiven!!😂😂😂😂
September 15, 2022 at 7:32 pm #2134725😂😂😂
September 15, 2022 at 7:36 pm #2134729Dan James was a great little squad player, we wouldn’t have done the double over City without him. But you cunts hounded him out!!!
🙂September 15, 2022 at 7:39 pm #2134730@happy – He was so fucking “great” that Leeds have also “hounded him out” after he had just one year stinking their shirt out as well!😂😂😂😂
September 15, 2022 at 8:29 pm #2134745Despite what posters on here keep moaning about, ETH is the one that keeps picking the team. Same as OGS did. Same players, same shit.
September 15, 2022 at 8:52 pm #2134753@stevej – Yep, we are lacking proper quality all over the pitch mate, particularly from the midfield and forwards. The jury is still massively out on both Anthony and Casemiro in particular for me, and if they don’t start to show us something special pretty sharpish then it’s going to be nigh on impossible for us to fundamentally improve on last season because Ole’s old favourite wankers will still be starting most weeks, simple as that.
September 15, 2022 at 10:44 pm #2134786🙄
September 15, 2022 at 10:49 pm #2134788Thought Casemiro was good when he came on tonight, still not fit, but did well.
September 16, 2022 at 7:23 am #2134808@killy – He’s been training with us and getting minutes on the pitch for almost a month now, and prior to that he had done his pre season and played twice for Real Madrid before he signed. Unfortunately, I think it’s more a case of him just being slow and ponderous rather than him being unfit, and at nearly 31 years of age his mobility certainly ain’t going to improve as the months and years roll by.
September 16, 2022 at 9:20 am #2134849@blacky – I think he’s still carrying a pound or two, nothing in the league of Shaw but a little over, and the ETH style of football is far faster and high pressured that what he’s used which will take time to get used to even for a player of his calibre. He will slow down but he’s a quality player who reads the game well and for McT to have a player like him to compete against can only be a good thing. Nothing breeds improvement like competition.
September 16, 2022 at 9:41 am #2134861Casemiro will get a few games for Brazil. Should build up his fitness.
September 16, 2022 at 9:45 am #2134866@Killy – Unfortunately, the old cynic in me will always have major reservations about the real motivation as to why a 30 year old would want to give up playing in Spain for Real Madrid and all that entails to come to Manchester and play with this shower of shit in the Europa League, and the only conclusion for me is the 375k per week wages.
Not only that, I have long since said that I wouldn’t touch any South American players with a 50 foot barge pole because of the diabolical way these deals have invariably worked out at OT. Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, Veron, Anderson, Kleberson, Telles and Cavani have all either been utter fucking shite and/or have completely downed tools and disrespected the badge down the years, so that colours my judgement as well.
It comes to something when the only South American player we’ve ever had to give his all over an extended period of time was good old turnaround Tony!😂😂September 16, 2022 at 11:06 am #2134912Cavani was good for us and only when Ole went and stabbed him in the back did he down tools, but given the money he was on he should have been a pro. The rest I’d agree with you, Anderson was worse than lardy Luke for the BigMacs, Veron tried but he just wasn’t cut out for the PL.
September 16, 2022 at 11:45 am #2134928Forlan is another pne who, despite the obvious talent, couldn’t cut it at United. Model pro at least though. Don’t forget Rojo and Falcao on that list of failed South Americans too!
We have had some successful players from there too though: Tevez, Heinze, Valencia and Rafael are definite successes for example.
