oh calm your self you nothern portugese manc!
it is honestly how i see and remember it in all honesty!
It dawned early you would win the PL yes, but each win and they manner of (most) were like, how did they do that, they were shit!!

if you wish to ruin me then go ahead me amigo, it is after all your club page so wi would expect nothing less, its just MHO as an outsider and self confessed ABU

though i reiterate the ABU status is down to to a mix of how good you were for so long with osme amazing teams, football, manager and the other things that chipped in at carious times to “help” (same as all teams like City now and us when they win the PL) you just had more opver a longer period!

im now going to buy some slave for the bum “forcing” you are about to deliver to me 🙂

@happyhurling .. Its annoying how you constantly try to spin things to suit your agenda. You lie with almost every breath and I have to either let you get away with it or write mega posts correcting every lie.

Prior to 2009 (were you even here then) I never moaned about the team, nobody did. Only just recently I said the 99 team was the greatest team (I’ve seen). The moans started in the “no value” years as players aged and we were replacing quality with mediocrity.

Its like the Titanic, at first we expressed mild concern about possible danger ahead if we didn’t change course. Then as time passed and the iceberg was clear as day our voices turned to screams “I C E B E R G”. And all the while bandsman happy, was playing the same tune and telling everybody talk of iceberg was rubbish.

As to your specific accusations. (1) Carrick, yep never rated him, and one look at the Carrick thread will tell you how many agreed with me. (2) Giggs playing at 39 was an embarassment (3) having to pull 38 year Scholes out of retirement was an embarassment (4) I didn’t moan much about RvP fee, I moaned about his age. Same as I’ve done with all the other oldies. (5) Yep Nani wasn’t good enough. That he was sold to Fernerbahce for a measly 4m shows I was right and you were wrong. (6) You do tip every player for (potential/probable) stardom or hype them up.

As for our last title team, steve is spot on. Let me put it another way then. You name me a United title winning team that was worse than the 2013 one. Go on.

Well you fucking pillocks screaming about penalties trotting out your stats about how many were awarded at Old Trafford fail to the question of how many were turned down. Because very few got turned down as teams spent very little time attacking at Old Trafford and when they did our defenders found the one or two players in attack easy to deal with so didn’t need to make risky tackles. You’ll also find that teams at the moment like city, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs et al also don’t concede so many penalties. What a surprise.

Fergie time….name me one game when we scored a goal in injury time where the minutes added on were too many? Go on. Because you’ll be talking out of your cockney arse if you do.

Fergie and the FA….do you realise how many times he was charged and banned by them? More than any other managers.

You’ll be rolling out the other cliches next about United fans not coming from Manchester next but you’d look a bit of a dick being an Essex boy supporting Arsenal talking to a Manchester lad wouldn’t you?

Honestly…I like you and I’m all for a bit of ribbing (not rimming mufc, easy boy) but generally when I come across people coming up with these tired old cliche ridden shite then I walk away and talk to someone else because I know the person coming up with it is a knob. But I like you so I’ve just given you a load of shit instead.

You have made me open a bottle of wine though which has really pissed me off as the bar wasn’t supposed to be open until six o clock.

People talk of the Fergie Factor. Is it a myth. If not, how many points a season was it worth?

And if the team Fergie left was good to go and would have had more success but for Moyes. how did they do in their careers after Moyes?

    * The old brigade of Vidic, Evra, Rio, Giggs, Scholes were already over the hill and would have gone even further downhill.
    * Buttner, Rafael, Anderson, Cleverley, Januzaj, Kagawa, Powell, Nani, Hernandez, Welbeck, RvP did not go on to do anything to suggest selling them was a mistake (like Pogba).
    * Jones, Smalling, Young, Valencia, Lingard … we know how they have performed.
    * Carrick Rooney did not deliver the world class performances or leadership that a title winning team has.
    * And for all the moans about Moyes getting rid of Phelan & Meulensteen, they’ve hardly gone of to be top managers.

So where was the quality in Fergie’s last team.

Mac – I’m not in the habbit of lying, I was posting from 2004 and saying that you never moaned about the team before 2009 is just bollocks i’m afraid. Although i see you’ve already changed “not moaning about the team” to “expressing mild concern”. It doesn’t matter how many “others on here agreed” with you abut Carrick, nobody else in world football agreed with you. Giggs playing at 39 was not an embarrassment, he’s our most decorated player and the Premier League’s most successful. The only thing that was embarrassing about Giggs and Scholes playing until they were almost 40 is that most weeks they were the best players on the pitch! Nani was sold for cheap doesn’t mean he was crap, on his day he was amazing.

Anyway, seems like i had a point about you moaning at all of the players above doesn’t it? Why are you finding reasons to justify your bashing of them, but on the other hand saying “you never moaned about the team prior to 2009”?

Giggs,Scholes,Evra,Vidic,Rio,Carrick,Rooney-they all should have been replaced long before they eventually were.Nani was and remains one of the most inconsistent players I have ever seen!

You’d still take Nani in his prime for this current side though. An actual right winger if nothing else.

Sort of agree with that redblood but I also think it’s great to have wise heads in a squad…the problem for me was the new players coming through and that we brought in seemed to hide or weren’t good enough. So older players at the very end of their careers had to soldier on and take on more responsibility than their bodies could handle. The evolution Fergie mastered when he was at the top of his game just never happened.

Rooney is interesting though…Fergie had played the little scouse rascal to a tee. He knew Rooney’s race was run and had encouraged his move to Chelsea perfectly. But Moyes shat himself, got caught in the headlights and offered Wayne an absolutely ludicrous contract.

Redblood – I’m a bit biased when it comes to Rooney because he’s United’s best ever player in history and of all time. But you do realise he’s still, by far, the highest goal scorer and assist maker in the post-Fergie era? He left 2 fucking years ago!

Suck it up Tommy, steveo is telling the truth.
How do you explain the penatlies agaionst us?
Before Moyes we had no penalties against us for a year or somebody help me 70 matches?
But when Moyes was the manager we had three(!) penalties against us in one half at OT against Liverpool(was it?).

Thats one of the many Fergie factors. He had a great influence on everybody in PL.
The last title we won Degea saved us umpteen times coupled with late goals from RVP and Chicharito. Some United fans suffer from bad memory.

    thomas you auld rogue!
Sorry i made you hit the bottle! 😉 at least early!

I stand by my comments and appreciate you may find them that of a “knob”..in my defence i did say that all teams have luck and injury time and have found many interesting articles about “Fergie time” but i dont want to push that point.

I also did state it is tough for an opposition fan to state their views as obviously we have our own agenda and views that would counter most home fans and even stated the reason i dislik(ed) untied so much was pure jealusy over how good you were for so damn long and rebuilding amazing team after amazing team, didnt always get everythign right but more than most over that period.

That last title winning win team was the worst of the lot, good names (some) but not a great team and seriously god knows how you won that year let alone as comfortably as you did! us selling our top player/asset for cheap who scored most of your goals didnt really help but thats our clubs incompetence for you!

looking back with rose tinited memory and glasses isnt helpful, it would be like me saying that our “undefeated year” was amazing, it was and is on one hand but the fact is, we didnt get the highest points ever or close to that or score the most goals ever or close to that and had far to many draws and some very lucky matches we could and should have lost, thats the reality

anyway i was just trying to offer some counter points from my humble ununited view right or wrong 🙂

Yes you do don’t you Zico. You also have a bizarre hobby of running your own club down at any opportunity possible.

I think the state of our defence in that first season after Fergie had more to do with the number of penalties opposition got than any pressure Ferguson exerted on the referee.

Well that’s what I think of people trotting out tripe like that steveo….they’re knobs who probably think that sex pest Rory McGrath is funny.

No time for it and I generally leave them to it and ignore them, which is what i’ll do with you if you carry on.

@happy – Spoken like a man who thinks football was only invented in 1992/93 when the Premier League and SKY TV was invented. As Jim McDonald from Coronation Street would say ‘catch yourself on son, catch yourself on’.

Fucking hell blacky I met Jim Macdonald when I was in London a couple of months back. He was in a pub with Neil Morrissey bizarrely and I nearly jumped out of my skin when I looked to my left at the bar and there he was.

    Catch yourself on indeed.
