It is taking the piss now and starting to fuck about with other clubs and match going fans. I thought that penny pinching toe rag Levy was supposed to be a smooth operator?

If they can’t fulfill their home fixtures then a 3-0 victory should be awarded to the visitors until this sorry shambles is sorted out.

He won’t even pay for what’s been done to date.
Called all the companies in and chopped their payments due to ‘cash flow issues’ then thumps the table asking for maximum effort from everyone – was almost laughed out the room.

    GFY mr Levy!!

Have to agree, this is totally wrong. I am already hearing of Man City supporters who have booked train tickets to London on the original date- all non-refundable. As WG says, if you can’t fulfil your fixture then for forfeit. I remember Middlesboro failing to fulfil a fixture some years ago and they were deducted points by the premier league.

Loads of United and quite a few Everton fucked by it too…including me. Makes my blood boil.

Got a free afternoon in London now, might go and watch you lot against Ipswich!

It’s interesting, when this went out to tender a few big companies were bidding on it. My friend is very high up on one of these companies, a well known building firm who have built other stadiums. They pulled out during the bidding process simply because what spurs wanted and the time line required was not possible and the financial penalties for not delivering it on time were extreme. The company that won it said they could deliver it……. what a mess.

Without a shadow of a doubt Spurs should make recompense to affected supporters. Spurs should also be docked points.

i think it is only REALLY fare if spurs play in the Championship for the remainder of the season and come back to the PL if they get promoted, but should also start on – points 🙂

They hit Levy where it hurts to be fair, in his pocket. Point deductions and dropping down a league won’t matter a jot.

Surely being relegated would have a financial impact on spurs, more so than a fine I would have thought. I suppose it depends on the size of the fine.

The cost of the stadium has doubled, no wonder Spurs aren’t buying players.

Bad news for all concerned, can’t help wondering if all the faux outrage and whinging from sky 4 fans would be happening if it was a club a bit further down the league though

And we haven’t been top 4 for 2 seasons and likely won’t for a while yet…. I wonder if we had done the same with the emirates, I’m sure all spuds fans would be outraged and we would never hear the end of it
It’s nothing to do with north London rivalry or league positions it’s to do with the same rules for everyone
Why should you get special treatment?

Probably not because he won’t have been shafted when some tin pot cockneys can’t build a stadium on time.

Not sure NOLU counts as top four either.

Ant, except Mace didn’t sign up on that basis. They only took it as construction managers and the club was chasing savings in all directions and stuffing up the procurement. Mace are pretty safe from the club. The few companies on spurs that also built the Emirates and the Olympic stadium were very wary about how the club approached this. The club have got their Just desserts now. I expect they will try to wriggle out of paying the bill now, and it may further delay things.

    Not boiling at all tom
    Just answering your question
For me I’m not such a small person that I can’t appreciate another nice new shiney stadium and a decent team and manager, I assumed you’d have similar issues as had, austerity and trying to keep your better players while not winning any trophies or investing and building on a promising team
But levy has been a twat and due to trying to do things differently and messing up now expects the league to bend over and help them out… why? Why should anyone?
    Suck it up
My dropping a league post was tongue in cheek but frankly a president has been set for this previously with other clubs so surely the same rules will apply or do you think your club is a special case?

Fucking Watford fans about in the Coca Cola Cup as well. There should be a huge fine and the money should be used to compensate fans of manchester city, Everton, Manchester United and Watford.

They should be told here and now the rest of the season is played at Wembley.
