We haven’t won at Stoke for a while and it required a last minute record breaking free-kick from Rooney last time out to secure a point. Hopefully we continue our momentum from before the international break and pick up 3 points.
I’m expecting the original starting line-up to start again tomorrow evening with Rashford coming back in for Martial. Then the usual substitutions of Fellaini for Mata and Martial for Rashford mid way through the second half.
Some posters think this may be a fixture better suited for Herrera over Mata so we’ll have to see.
September 8, 2017 at 11:03 am #1529298Herrera May be asked to do a cover job on Jese, wouldn’t be surprised. I’d be happy with 1-0 but more is possible
September 8, 2017 at 1:43 pm #1529387Need to keep the momentum going, especially with Liverpool playing City. Always difficult after an international break, but we have the confidence and w have goals in us this season. We have to assert ourselves on them, which I don’t think we have done for a while and we need to quiet the crowd.
September 8, 2017 at 2:13 pm #1529417Stoke City away is a notorious “banana skin” fixture so this trip should be a strong test for us. We have not won at Stoke in our last four league visits, but I believe we are well equipped to put that poor record right tomorrow.
Hey Homerjay. 2-0 to Utd
September 8, 2017 at 2:52 pm #15294511-1 for me with Rashford or Martial to strike late on for United to earn us a point.
September 8, 2017 at 3:19 pm #15294911-2 for me as TMA took my 0-2!!

September 8, 2017 at 4:56 pm #15295501-3
September 8, 2017 at 8:16 pm #15295722-6 to United…got a good feeling about tomorrow if we go for it.
Hopefully Interpol will pick up the macguffin too and lock him up, the nonce, which would round off a perfect day.
September 9, 2017 at 10:19 am #1529632tough game…we’ve played 3 got 2 games right, what are the odds i get this one too 😉
i predict stocke city 0 United 3 scorers: mikki, Lukaku and a stunner from Matic
*fingers crossed*
September 9, 2017 at 1:13 pm #1529692Big game today I expect stoke to rest us with their skills of pushing kicking and shoving. Come on united play them at their own game.
Watching the city game keeper totally out but Neville claims mane s karate kick not to blame no sending off!what a terrible arse licking co commentator he is so shit have to mute the tele. It was a blatant red!!!! You blind b…
September 9, 2017 at 2:02 pm #1529751@redblood. Your draw predictions are fast becoming very inaccurate. We are not the same team as we were last season.
My prediction is 2-1 to Manchester United. I think we will rue some missed chances and will be breached at the back through Jese’s running. End of the day though, I think we will have too much for them. Pogba to have a blinder.
September 9, 2017 at 2:37 pm #1529786That`s my aim @hatters mate, you should read my posts from the beginning of the season.Predicted every game to be a draw, until we play the top-teams,then I predict to lose every singe one of them. The plan is for me to be proven wrong in every-single game, lol.Ye miserable cunt ya.
September 9, 2017 at 3:35 pm #1529850I hope we don’t show Stoke too much respect. Yes Jesse and Shaqiri are good players but it’s not like we are facing a midfield of De Bruyne and Silva with Aguero and Jesus ahead.
My prediction today: 0-3 to United.By the way I think it was HailMartial or Sympathy who came up with a great points system. While that is too much detail for what I was looking for I have decided that the one point should go for correct result (win/draw/loss) rather than correct score minus one goal. Hope nobody minds this change. Still 3 points for correct score prediction.
This leaves the predictions table like this (i have gone back through the threads and re calculated please let me know if i have scored you wrong):
Libanski: 7
MacGuffin: 4
theMartialArt: 3
Mudmudd: 3
Sympathy: 2
Homerjay: 2
HappyHurling: 2
Leemo J: 1
O.T.FaxMachine: 1
Wonderful Gas: 1
HailMartial: 1
The Legend: 1September 9, 2017 at 4:38 pm #1529887Herrera in for Mata and Darmian starts instead of Blind. Rashford in for Martial.
September 9, 2017 at 4:40 pm #1529889Yesss Herrera starts…it’s always too crowded in the middle when Mikki and Mata play together hopefully this will be a much better line up than the previous games. Less than an hour to go GGMU <3
September 9, 2017 at 4:59 pm #1529897@redblood. Sing you miserable cunt!
For the first time since SAF retired I feel I can now predict what the gaffer is doing. I suspected that Herrera would get his first start against Stoke and I understand the decision tactically. Mourinho is clearly looking to flood the midfield with energy and purpose to once again release Pogba, I feel comfortable because I knew this before the fact and Mourinho’s systematic decision making is clinical and professional.
Hopefully his decision to omit Mata and move Mkhitaryan out wide will pay off. GGMU!
