IMO the following can leave the club in orders funds to be found for better players since our obligations will be more next year and we can not use players in FA cup to rest the regulars

Adrian, Lovren, Shaq, Origi, Keita (due to many injuries), Lallana, Chrivella (maybe loan), Grujic (maybe loan), Brewster (loan).

Jones and Wilson must stay epsecially the latter to claim a position in the reular team. He is 22 years old.

Players to see Werner, a new CB, a back up LB and GK, Aubameyang and 2 midfielders (Pellegrini??) one of them to be creative like Coutinho was.
    h/Mane
At this stage there are a lot of players who want to join the club and there is no need to pay more that they deserve.

Players like Sancho, Harvetz at 100 mil do not think that they can join us. Sancho has fantstic statistics and only if a player leaves (Mane or Salah) may spend money.
Of course prices less than 160-170 mil are not accepted. Pogba can not cost more than 100 when he has not played for almost 2 years and Salah/Mane less than 150!!!

pinesz… I got to disappoint you on one matter, the club can never start offloading players because of injuries, if a player under contract suffers injuries you just have to stick with him.

If you do not stick with him, you are opening a can of worms, really bad ones as other players will start thinking about what happens if they get injured.

They will simple stop putting their body on the line as they see that their loyalty and effort is not rewarded.

They will start thinking about the consequences of getting injured… having to take a paycut, having to look for another club, needing to uproot their families to a new location, that their kids need to find a new school, losing touch with friends and making new ones, off feeling betrayed by the club etc.

These were my thoughts and especially not only me but a lot fans have been diasappinted with Keita. He is a good player but if he can not play regularly then what’s the reason of keeping him???

To honour our deal with him, he is under contract and if the fans would rule our club half the team would be sold off every season… You do not offload players that are injured unless they themselves ask for a move, you break morale around the team doing that and you would have every player in the team 2nd guessing whether going in for a tackle is worth their career or not!

Imagine working at a office that offloads every worker because they got sick or something, how do you think morale around the office would be? Everyone would be terrified of losing their jobs! Its not a working environment that could deliver any results…

On the other hand every player out there knows that the club will stick by them if they do get injured, just like we have done for Lallana, Clyne, Sturridge etc. Thats a big incentive for a player to think about when deciding whether or not to move to the club, or at least for any player out there with half a brain.

I agree Bingo, to a certain extent, but there has to come a time in a particular player’s tenure with a club, that if injuries are constant then a re-evaluation has to happen.

At Liverpool most injury plagued players are usually allowed to see out their contract and leave on a free/vastly reduced fee but this has to be case by case.

Historically we tend to either allow the above to happen or loan them out with (hopefully for LFC) a view to a permanent move to get them off our books.

Clubs has also disguised their frustration with a certain player or players (and I sense that with both Naby and Shaq) and that they just don’t fit in the system and it’s simply ‘not working out.’

Agree rob. Keita’s injuries have been so common that you cannot help thinking whether he is suited to klopp’s football.

I would give Wilson a chance to prove what he can do next year. If he does well then we will have a player costing nothing to us…

    Rob…

You can never offload a player against his will, it will always damage the squad and morale, every player that we have sold or loaned out because of injury troubles has wanted the move himself.

So as long as Keita is happy to stay at Anfield we have to honour his contract!

If the player can not offer to the team the things that his manager wants then he can go. If Klopp believes in Keita then he can keep him for another year to prove it…

If we spend 80-90 mil for Dembele then I woulf prefere doing that for Sancho spending a bit more but he is a better player and fits to our system. Besiedes former after 2 yerars in Barca can ont cost more than 50-60 mil.

NB, Liverpool pretty much ended Redknapp’s contract in 2001 allowing him to leave to Spurs. Too many injuries.

Next year will be more difficult, we will be hopefully the champions and we must have depth in the team for EPL, UCL and FA CUP. If our players are not fit then we will face great problems.

Sancho too expensive and the best choice after De Bryne.
Sterling same case with Coutinho regarding his behaviour in the past.
Dembele good player but injury prone and 80-90 mil are a lot for him now.

Rob I always found that move a little bit peculiar as it did not make much sense for the club, except to get him off the books and reinvent the midfield. The club has offloaded plenty of injury prone players in the past but it must be done according to the player himself and not on the clubs terms.
How would you motivate a player in the squad to put his body on the line if you offloaded every player or friend of his that struggled with injuries? Do you for example think that they would still go for the ball in a 50/50 dead ball? Do you think they would go in for the tackle, knowing full well that they would be sold by the club if they got injured?
I know if it was my workplace I would immediately start looking for another job, I’m not gonna risk my life and limbs for a company that would trade me off as soon a accident happened… I would never have signed the bloody contract in the first place if said company had a reputation for doing that…

Right now I think most players out there recognise that going over to Liverpool FC is a very safe career choice to make, they know that the club will stick by them if they do get injured. The way that the club stood by Sturridge, Lallana, Clyne, Ings etc. They even know that the club is happy to let them run down their contract without a major backlash from the fans like Can did, imagine the difference between how PSG handled their situation with Adrien Rabiot and how we handled Can.

About the transfer window… Is it going to happen this summer? Almost all clubs have yet to make their final decision on their targeted players, they have yet to send out their directors or chief scouts or whomever finalizes the decision to watch how their preferred targets play during the crunch time of the season. I mean even if the leagues start up again I doubt many teams will hit form right away. Every player out there has been slacking off on the couch with us for about a month now, the longest break these lads have ever had to endure as every summer of their careers have been filled up with international games at all levels. Its even hard to meet them in person right now as all travel is suspended and with deals involving millions and lawyers and agents. Nothing is happening anywhere in Europe… The rumour mill is an absolute joke right now, like Roma interested in Shaqiri, like he would be interested to jump on a plane right now and go to Rome… FFS or any deal in Germany where they got a maximum 2 people together anywhere in the country, how the fuck can you make a deal happen under those circumstances?

Coutinho’s price dropped to 53 mil which means that Edwards can drop the price more to 45 plus adds on and Coutinho can return at Anfield if Klopp wants him….

Miralem Pjanic for 50 mil is a very good case but he is 30 years old.
Traore for 70 mil not at all, too much money. He had only a very good season.
