Basically a premier league team only need a tall centre half and a tall keeper which we don’t have either, the rest of the team can be midgets, in fact it’s a game for any kind of physical specimen, it’s not called basketball its called soccer.

I used to believe it too. But can you just look at Thiago Silva? I kept saying he was short. And old. But look at him. 2 seasons with us, and always shows his class. Premier League looks simple to him; his adaptation to the league IMO was almost flawless except his 1st match against WBA.

Haven’t seen Koundé, but if he is really technical as described, I think he will be massive for us. He can be short, but we have Chalobah who is 1.9m. And I also believe that he won’t be the only CB that CFC will buy as we lost both of Rudiger & Christensen and possibly will lose Azpi too.

About Lukaku saga, it starts to annoy me. He was no good his 1st spell with us, forced an exit. And we did not learn, we bought him again for almost 100m. And 1 year passed, now most of transfer rumours about us are about him, again forcing an exit. What a waste. Just give him away, I start to get fed up with this attitude

No we don’t go for cheap players. Bissouma far too cheap for Chelsea. We have to go for players who are up for at least £60m and turn out to be worse than what we loan out!! I wish this stupid way of doing business would change.. I thought Marina and Buck were going?

Are you American by chance Moos? Soccer!! Few places in the world do they call it soccer these days, certainly not in Europe anyway I would have thought. Even here in Australia they call it football in the modern era of the sport. It took them a while to get it right though. Association football my friend, the real football!!

Oh Moos, Mendy is 1.94 m (6 ft 4 in). Hardly a midget. Kepa is only 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in). Hardly a dwarf either but, I guess short compared to some keepers.

Moos,”No we don’t go for cheap players. Bissouma far too cheap for Chelsea. We have to go for players who are up for at least £60m.”

According to numerous reports though Moos we are trying to sign Dembele on a free from Barca and we signed Thiago Silva on a free who has been outstanding.

They don’t come much cheaper than free Moos!😊

Then there’s Mendy now rated one of the best Goalkeepers in the world who cost £22m and 2 of our best ever defenders in Cahill and Azpilucueta who both cost £7 m

Romano is a pretty reliable source.

Wonder if Frank was still here, if we would be giving an opportunity to xavier mbuyamba, now we are short of centre backs. We got at 18 him from Barca, and he came with a bit of fanfare. 6’ 5” tall and apparently a good composed passer, cnd strong in the air. Might be good to get him in the team whilst Thiago is still around. Anyone heard much on him?

Full name Xavier Tshimanga Kamaluba Ntite Mukendi Mpoyi Mbuyamba – I’m surprised he can remember it all. Signed for three years and his contract expires in 12 months. Played for the Under 23s at Chelsea and the club did not want him to go out on loan. Appears to be a bit of a mystery case as you have alluded to Chris.

1967 Wow his full name takes a lot of beating. Well Chalobah never let himself down, you have to wonder if given a fair chance Mbuyamba can be a surprise package. The fact we got him from a Barca and he has all the attributes we appear to be looking for, surely we should give him a go. Look how JT benefitted by playing alongside Desailly. You’d have to think Thiago Silva could polish this so called wonder kid into a world class player. Personally I regret that we sold Tomori and Guehi.

If Mbuyamba impresses pre season and Tommy thinks he’s up to it he’ll be in the squad next season.

Wjy don’t they sell Lukaku why still fiddle around with a player who has no heart or intentions to play for Chelsea again. You never going to recoup all that money in any event.

Moos, whilst I agree with you that it would have been much better to have sold Lukaku even at a significant loss but his poor form and poor attitude would have made it very difficult to do that. He was toxic and we needed to get him out of the Club pronto.

Moos I think you saying the reason they want sell him is cause noone is willing to pay that much money for him and the club for now is not prepared to lose all that money, it is basically a no win situation for the club as his value is detororiating every day. So your guess is as good as mine what they eventually plan to do with not only him but others as well.

Let’s hope Lukaku has a great season at Inter scoring lots of goals which leads to interest in signing him next Summer.

Personally I don’t want a player at the Club who phones Simone Inzaghi 2 days before our home leg CL Qtr Final v Real asking him to get him back to Inter.

Is it true Chelsea only handed over 19 million of the transfer fee and were supposed to pay off the rest in 4 further installments of the same amount? If so, where does that leave the club with a useless lump that wants out?

Yeap, Lukaku had to go for sure. He had no desire or interest. A complete misfit to the way we played. It looked to me like our players were deliberately not playing to him. The amount of times you saw him standing still moaning that he never received the ball. It was like we were playing with 10 men most of the time. I am just glad he has taken a pay cut. Would have been criminal to have subsidised his wages. Like 999 says, he was toxic

67, regards how lukaku situation now looks,
He earns 16m per season so as it is he has 4 yrs remaining which equates to 64m. Including this years due installment we owe inter 70m in transfer fee. This is all amortised over length of contract.

So this year our total obligation is 17.5m in transfer fee instalment and 16m in wages about 33.5m and that is our annual total liability with lukaku over the 4 Yrs remaining.

My understanding is that inter are paying his wages in full(he has agreed a wage reduction) and paying minimum 8m loan fee. So our obligation on wages this year has gone from 16m to zero and if we deduct the 8m loan fee from due instalment of 17.5m we are down just 9.5m and loaning him has saved us circa 24m additional loss for this season.

As for next season, when he comes back we will owe about 53.5m in transfer fees and his wages will still be 16m a year. If someone is willing to pay 50m fee and give lukaku a contract he accepts we could end up cutting ties completely, if no one will buy him then we will have to do what we have this summer and try to offset as much of the 33m per year liability as possible.

Put it this way, last year he cost us 33m

This year he us costing us 9.5m

What he costs the following year will depend on above.

He was a massive mistake but when all is said is done we should be able to cap our losses at around 50-60m taking in to consideration the 42.5m already lost over the last year and this season coming.

told yer,Inter hung around like a bad smell pleading poverty and gullible Chelsea foolishly acquiesce to them…UNKINBELIEVABLE!!.Inter now sitting pretty…hands on their hips bent over double and in hysterics laffing their rocks off at us they are.Lukaku is a toxic cold malicious nut job who made up his mind early on that his relationship to Chelsea is quite fractured and he was never going to bust a gut giving 100% playing for Chelsea as long as he’s got a hole up his rear, just like that other waste of space we had on our books Winston Bogarde some years ago!.Why on earth couldn’t we have held on for a bit while we haulked Lukaku around as available and flog him on the cheap to any other club instead of kartowing to Inter with some Mickey Mouse loan deal?.The situation stinks!
