Casimero is a key player at Real and had been integral to their success the rumour is that Chelsea have offered £176m for Casimero.
This rumour is driven out of the Spanish media by Don Balon.
I don’t know whether Chelsea are really interested in Casimero or whether Real would be prepared to sell him and I suspect neither do Don Balon what I do know is that there is no way Chelsea will have offered £176m for him.February 23, 2018 at 3:27 pm #1603411
A lot of talk about Acensio who appears to be a very special prospect-thats why we have to qualify for the CL to attract these type of players as undoubtedly other big clubs will also be in the running.February 25, 2018 at 8:30 am #1603829
CFC you dont rate Fabregas and you dont think RLC is good enough?!!! God knows what you look for in a talented footballer like these two are!!February 26, 2018 at 1:58 pm #1604478
GIB – never have liked or rated Fabregas and think he is nothing but a complete liability when he plays in the middle. I have, however, accepted and mentioned that he is much more effective when he plays further forward but personally, I would never start him ahead of Willian. Simply not my type of player (more of the Kante, Essien type in the middle)
Must admit that I do not understand your fixation with RLC. I do not deny that the boy has a footballing brain and has the physique to be a strong player but for me, his attitude simply stinks and he feels he has made it already when any top professional would tell him to keep working every day. His performances for me at Chelsea were at best sporadic and at worst completely wasteful and I do not think he took his opportunities seriously
He may get good reviews at Palace and maybe that is the level he should be playing at because currently I do not see him breaking into the first team squad again which is a crying shame when he does look capable if her simply changed his attitude and worked on his game…? Being a top player is as much about attitude as anything else and Mourinho pulled RLC up in Australia. RLC’s got the skill set and football brain but has yet to show he’s got the right attitude to make it at Chelsea.
Sadly the lads suffered a bad ankle injury and there are doubts about when he might return and missing Palace game through no fault of his own isn’t helping either himself or Palace.
Whoever is Manager of Chelsea in the Summer will have a big call to make on RLC along with a lot of other big calls.March 7, 2018 at 4:38 am #1608302
so we sold Patrick Bamford for peanuts and look at him now. We lend out Michy Bats and look at him now. What is up with our club?March 7, 2018 at 8:08 am #1608343
1967 – I am looking at Bamford and see nothing…!!. He scored a brace for Boro the other day but he still fails to set the world alight. Since joining Boro in 2017 he has 38 appearances and only 9 goals so really do not see the comparison or point trying to be made. He simply was never good enough for Chelsea
As for Michy can anyone say he set the world alight on the few chances he got? He has been heavily criticised on here for his lack of ability to act as a target man but no denying that he has scored some important goals for Chelsea. Started life well at Dortmund but not scoring so freely now so was that “simply a change of team syndrome”
I think the Club has an interesting decision to make in the Summer regarding Michy. IMO, we never played to his strengths and if we do insist on expecting him to be a target man then I do not think he is the correct player for us (even Hazard struggles in that role). If we are looking for a poacher who can run the channels then he is far better suited
A lot will depend on who the manager is because it is clear that Conte does not rate him. In the pre season I am fully expecting to see Michy, Tammy, Giroud and Morata competing for the 2 or 3 places available and potentially maybe less if the manager decides to go and buy…? LOok at bamford now? What an average championship striker. The only shame is we didnt sell him sooner. Awful playerMarch 7, 2018 at 11:25 am #1608511
phwepsi – getting worried now. That’s 2 posts that I totally agree with ….!!
Just joking but what is worrying is that many of us were so hoping he would be the next kid to grace the first team…!! Some still think the same logic could apply to RLC as well.(really hope he changes his attitude but not convinced) KTBFFHMarch 7, 2018 at 8:54 pm #1608796
From what I saw of Tammy this week he is god damn awful too and should be no where near a Chelsea shirt either so we can have differing opinions and that is fine. Oh and Patrick scored a hatrick v Leeds and then the winner against Birmingham not just a brace as stated.March 8, 2018 at 8:23 am #1608910
1967 – have to say that since Swansea changed managers, Tammy has hardly featured at all and wonder if this is now hitting his confidence. Agree that he has not progressed as much as I, and I suspect the Club, would have hoped so I do wonder whether he will be put out on loan again next season…?
As for Bamford, my feeling is that the Championship is his level because when he went on loan to both Palace and Norwich he hardly featured. Who knows – maybe a late developer and another who slipped under the radar but for me, he was never good enough and do not think he would have made the grade at Chelsea (but just my opinion). for the record Tammy’s stats at Swansea are 23 appearances for 4 goals- 1 goal around every 6 matches – hardly a world beater. Patrick has around a goal every 4 matches. Yes one league lower however I liked what saw by Patrick against Leeds whereas I thought Tammy was rather pedestrian for Swansea this week just gone. I guess neither really have a future in Chelsea blue.March 8, 2018 at 10:14 am #1608971
AGree on tammy aswel. Hes been terrible too. Hes had a full season at swansea to show what he can do. And theres been nothing. Hes done absolutley nothing even remotely special. Going to be anther average striker. Sell up and move on.March 8, 2018 at 10:22 am #1608975
1967/phwepsi – the trouble is we seem to have such high hopes for these players but when they face the final test of doing it at the highest level we see so many falter
I would persevere with Tammy as I feel that the raw talent and attitude is there – it just maybe needs working on and maybe we could do that better in house rather than using the loan again…?
I look at Solanke at Liverpool and see that again, although he had a few games following his success for England in the Summer these are not happening as frequently now and even when they played the CL game the other night when the tie was won so players could be rested (especially as they have ManU at the weekend) I do not think he even made the bench…?
Certainly seems that we have the talent at lower levels but are missing that magical imgrdient for them to make the step up to the first team squad…? KTBFFHMarch 8, 2018 at 11:41 am #1609055
The jump from youth to first team is too big. Especially at chelsea when we havent got time to wait. We newd ready made players or atleast youth coming through that is completely ready. I dont think tammy is ready at all. He will be way out his depth. Epecially when we need a complete revamp of our strikersMarch 8, 2018 at 12:43 pm #1609105
Pls can any of you guys writing off Tammy tell me Harry Kane stat while out on loan.
Tammy have the raw material to do well at Chelsea.the coach have to trust him.March 8, 2018 at 1:05 pm #1609110
Shedend – that may possibly be correct but as Phwepsi states, and has been noted many times before, the coaches/managers at Chelsea simply do not have the time to wait and see as expectations are so high
The comments from Chileni today are remarkably accurate regarding Spurs (I will stop smirking at some point today) and have been for many years so they have the time to wait and see if a player can progress or not
I have not written Tammy off and feel he will have a lot to prove when he returns for the pre-season, however, there is no escaping the fact that the loan was expected to be a time for him to flourish and blossom into the player we all hope he will be. To date, this does not appear to be the case. KTBFFHMarch 8, 2018 at 1:34 pm #1609128
1905… you were advocating signing Danny Ings and Andy Carrol in January… cough cough…
So lets look at statistics…
Tammy Abraham… 1431 minutes of football for Swansea this season… divide that by 90 it comes to 15.9 games in the premier League.
He has scored 4 goals and laid on 3 goals. That’s a return of near one goal or assist every two games or so. He is playing in a side that has not performed all season and is in a dogfight relegation battle. He is also a very young striker (20) transitioning into one of the most competitive leagues in the world and has represented England at all levels through his youth career. I’d have him in our side ahead of led legs Giroud who is about as mobile as the monolith from 2001 space oddessy.
So to compare:
Since signing for Chelsea Led Legs Giroud has played 110 minutes league football and got one assist.
Since returning to the Swansea side three games ago, From the subs bench Tammy has played 41 minutes of football and got one assist.
Just saying 1905… Anyone find fault with the stats… Put your name at the bottom of the list and have a good evening.March 8, 2018 at 1:43 pm #1609137

😂😂March 8, 2018 at 2:12 pm #1609163
Roman the fact that tammy has only played those minutes indicated thats there managers arnt picking him for a reason? He clearly cant get himself i to the team and is back up for them in some way. He hasnt been injured from what iv heard so it would only indicate that?
