Castrovilli has already replaced Pellegrini in Italian squad.June 11, 2021 at 1:09 pm #1962503
Update #Neuhaus: #Klopp wants him, confirmed! There have already been talks in the past few days. The club want to replace #Wijnaldum. But there is no offer yet. The topic could become hot after the Euros. Price: More than €40m. No release clause. @SPORT1 #LFC

Literally just read that myself AK.
Neuhaus is a cracker!!June 11, 2021 at 1:30 pm #1962512
Can’t say I know him but that isn’t saying anything. Well, he must be good if we’re after him.June 11, 2021 at 1:41 pm #1962514
Seen a bit of him this season. Good player. If I had to describe him, the best I could do is that he’s a mix of Fabinho, Hendo, Gini and Ox at the same time if that makes any sense. Can play as both a #6 and a #8 and both at the same time? Anyway, they’re saying a deal will only be done after the Euros? Not sure why we would let his release clause lapse unless we’re really confident of getting him for cheaper than that. Meanwhile, there are some reports claiming that we’ve agreed personal terms with Pellegrini. Don’t really know what to make of all this so I’ll wait until they’re actually unveiled as LFC players before believing it. Also saw some reports linking us to Cristian Romero. Don’t think that’s anything other than agent talk though unless we’re seriously considering switching to a back 3. I think he’s ideal for the high line.June 11, 2021 at 2:17 pm #1962531
I looked up a video of him and ya, it can be near impossible to judge but one thing I noticed of him is the amount of times he’s sliding in on the ball for clean tackles or more often, interceptions. So, he seems have a good read of the game.
I do kinda see what you mean in that he can do a bit of everything. He had some nice assists, tackles, interceptions and some goals. He’s got a bit of technique about him too. That’s as much as you can learn from YT though.
AS for us willy-nilly letting a clause expire, ya no chance. That’s the kind of thing that makes me think I should reconsider before I trust that source.
We’ll see how it goes though, I trust the lads to get a decent player in. My worry would be that they might try and not get someone, or that the funds might not be there etc.June 11, 2021 at 4:23 pm #1962593
How reliable is the source for Neuhaus?
We are linked with about 5 midfielders and I hope we get one. All of them are good players and it’s area I think we look a bit weak in outside of Fab and Thiago (with Hendo looking a little susceptible to injuries).
Think they are:
Bissouma (looking less likely?)
Tielemann (I think will get a big contract offer at LCFC, possibly using our “interest” to negotiate)
Some young Portuguese lad whose name I’ve forgotten!
And probably another but his name has escaped me this time.June 11, 2021 at 4:46 pm #1962610
There are a couple of reputable journalists now saying we’re interested.
Like previously we’ll have 3/4/5 target options for the same position we want to fill.
I’d love it if we signed both Neuhaus and Bissouma. Both 24 and would secure the future of our midfield. Not sure we’ll sign both though.June 11, 2021 at 4:56 pm #1962617
Don´t forget Koopmeiners either, he might be in the dutch division but we have seen a number of players from there do well in the Premier League… of all the midfielders that have been rumoured to be on their way he tops the goal contribution stats… He was involved in 26% of his teams goals, 15 goals from a defensive midfielder plus 5 assists… He takes set pieces but he can deliver and is the most bargain player of them all…June 11, 2021 at 5:49 pm #1962636
You have to take most of it with a pinch of salt. With the euros starting I don’t expect much movement for the next month.June 11, 2021 at 6:52 pm #1962645June 11, 2021 at 8:01 pm #1962650
Yes and foreign players cant be signed officially until the 1st of July… Like Konate, he has not yet been officially signed on the register… The club has just announced the deal early to appease the fans after the turmoil of last season… Clearing up any confusion about the defense…
There is going to be a serious response from the fans if the club does not sign a midfielder, we all do not want a repeat of last season!June 12, 2021 at 12:48 am #1962710
Out of those names, only Tieleman is good enough in my opinion. And even then, he’s no Hendo.
The Italian (playing today) Locatelli is looking like a hell of a player.
I don’t think we should be shopping from the bargain basement for a new midfielder. We should be going after the very best around in my opinion.
He’s likely to move this summer, City and Arsenal are interested. We should be as well.June 12, 2021 at 4:50 am #1962713
Haven’t seen anything anywhere that states that foreign players can only be signed after July 1st. The window for PL clubs is officially open as of 9 June. If Konate still isn’t on the register on the official site, it’s probably because whoever’s in charge has gone on holiday. Still see Gini on there even though he’s officially left the club.June 12, 2021 at 12:57 pm #1962778
The Premier League summer transfer window in England opens on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, and will run for 12 weeks. English clubs can sign players from one another starting from this date, although deals with foreign teams will officially go through on July 1.
Thats just my google result, i thought everyone knew thisJune 12, 2021 at 1:02 pm #1962780
JC i doubt we will sign a bargain player for the midfield, we need a player that can start at lesst 30 times… We need to create an environment where Jones get pushed more, we need him into the lineup in a couple of years just to keep up with our quota…June 12, 2021 at 3:01 pm #1962807
Guess we’ll have to wait till 1st July for the Mbappe deal to officially go throughJune 12, 2021 at 4:41 pm #1962843

Looking that way kopite. It’ll give enough time for Fenway to sell a few more pegs and dusters.June 13, 2021 at 8:39 am #1962961
Bingo, there was definitely a better way of saying that buddy.June 13, 2021 at 8:44 am #1962966
Each window that comes, we always think we’re going to be getting rid of so many players but time and time again, we end up keeping them. I don’t think the market is too healthy, so although I’d love to see us shift a fair few, I wonder if maybe we’ll not sell many, if any.
I also wonder about midfield. I also don’t think we’ll go after a typical bargain player but of course you can never rule out Edwards in finding a high quality player for a bargain. My gut tells me we will throw 30-50 million at someone though. There’s always the worry that FSG will try and see out the season as best they can but they’ve got to know that they would be risking the permanent stalling of Klopp’s project.
In another year, this squad’s value will have plummeted and for the team to achieve nothing, whilst allowing the value to be decimated, would be criminal.
