Continue to deluded. Klopp ain’t gonna sign someone who reportedly didn’t turn up for trading to force a move. Kane just turned 28 while not old is only younger than current trio and I can’t see Klopp having them age together. Kane’s wages will also be a concern. For £100 million or more, much better spent on 2 Earle twenties midfielder and forward

As much as I’d like Kane in our line-up he has had his fair share of injuries in particular that ankle of his. Monster of a player tho.

“I dont think he would cost too much for us, if I believe we can sign Mbappe then I believe we have the funds for Kane…”

And I believe you are the only person on the planet that actually thinks we can afford Mbappe. So by your logic I believe we cannot afford Kane.

“Klopp ain’t gonna sign someone who reportedly didn’t turn up for trading to force a move.”

Unless his name is Virgil of course 😉 ok he was forced to train with the kids but he refused to play in a preseason match, what Kane is doing is no worse.

Bingo, come on lad, that’s just mad shit altogether. Kane is going to City and then the PL is going to City.

I predicted us to win the PL and although I won’t ,technically ,alter that, I wouldnt make the same prediction were I writing it today. That is of course, if the deal goes through. I don’t think they are locked in without Kane.

“Now he is not involved with the team because psychologically he is not 100%. If you are not 100% with the team I need to work with the players who are 100% to defend Southampton. It’s easy for me.”

Quote from Pellegrini. And VVD did hand in a transfer request.

Pellegrino said: “The boy said that he is not available to play because he wants to leave. I had to say: ‘If you don’t want to be involved because you don’t feel OK then you have to train alone until this period of time is over.’”

Sorry I’m not seeing much difference. I know we love to defend our own players but even the greatest sometimes act like arses.

Greetings to everyone, been a minute since I last commented but enjoy the banter and discussion. Just to add my thoughts, I feel like we should just relax and see how the window pans out before getting our knickers twisted.Im not too concerned and hope we first tie down all the necessary players to new contracts and ship off a few more player’s like Origi and Shaq but wouldn’t be too upset if the later stayed.

What’s people’s thoughts on the recently linked Asensio? I think Klopp likes him and we were linked a couple of years ago when his value was much higher than the rumoured 34m now.

Just looking at his stats, does he get enough output really? On a positive note, he’s only 25.

I had a notion that he was a CAM but it says he’s a winger on TM.

Think you make a good point regarding his output. I’ve always thought of him as a creative flair player, our wide players are our main goal scorers being quick with good movement. He can play as a ten in a 4231 but I don’t think we will play that anymore than the few times we already do.

Mak there are countless reports from respected journos that believe as much as I do in the Mbappe deal…

The club has never been in a healthier position moneywise…

Both us and City are on projection to be above United in the money league… For the first time ever..!

We can sign anyone in the world right now, except the two goats… Both Haaland and Mbappe are an option, so is Kane and Lukaku…

I would be happy with Gabigol, having said that…

Id rather take him and keep the option of signing Mbappe open thsn sign Kane but if we would sign Kane, we would win the title. 100%

Threeps… Im not paying much attention to the rumours coming in from Spain, especially around the Madrid players… Real are looking to offload and their agents are just leaking info into the media to up their wages…

Same goes for the Barcelona and Atletico players…

I reckon we are looking at two profiles, a midfielder that can score from midfield… most of the profiles that make sense have been involved in around 20% of their teams goals and we are looking for a forward that can play on the right side, then we could free up Salah for the center role if Bobby is not firing…

Jota has been good on the left flank so I dont see a reason as to why the club would want another player to compete for that position…

Can’t believe I’m going to try this a second time but here goes…

Pinz, you say the transfer would be great but why? How do you see him fitting in to Klopps style? Who would he replace? Do you think going from goal scoring wide players to a playmaker would be detrimental to the way the team is set up? Or would a change in tactics be a good thing?

You can try as many timew you can but my point is not to replace but to have more reliable otpions when somebody is injured. Besides we have a lot of competions and we need players ike Asensio and not Shaq nad Origi…

Why must we replace somebody?? who told that??

Can not we have an alyernative way of play with a good CM??

Bingo the club is not in a good financial position you are going on reports from before the pandemic as they usually lag a year behind. In the link below is the most current report and that is only based on 3 months of pandemic and hasn’t included the entirety of last season. We have also spent a lot on the stadium recently, are still paying for some of the biggest transfers in our history, still paying back the owners some very large loans and are looking to renew a lot of first team players contracts which will involve large signing on fees. There’s also a thing that apparently is true although I don’t believe it called FFP which our owners rather foolishly follow without knowing you don’t need to if you have good lawyers. Basically we haven’t got a pot to piss in for a transfer budget.

For a season without matchday revenue I’ve read has cost the club 80m. That cannot be ignored unless of course you only look at revenue before the pandemic which won’t include this.

Those losses are covered according to reports about the redbird investment and our commercial revenue will have grown by at least another 13-24%… Thats just just a estimate based on our past five years and I bet the new NIKE deal is gonna deliver a lot of royalties to push us closer to the 24%

Then we do not rely on Anfield like our rivals do, our match revenue is much lower than our rivals, so our standing in the market is much stronger than theirs. We are gonna top United in the money league for the first time since the Premier League format.

There are also no further infrastructure projects planned and the stadium project has taken about 60 million per stand out of the budget every year… and we are gonna reap the benefits of those investments now, its all extra cash in the pocket we have never had before.

We got less leverage than any of our rivals as well and we are allowed to use that like our rivals do. We got more to gain following our royalty based contract with NIKE as well. If we sign Mbappe for example we gain more royalties than anyone else in shirt sales… There is not a club in the world that has the same deal and there is no threshold, the club can earn so much through commercial revenue based on that new deal, the sky is the limit. MBappe team has worked with NIKE for so long that I really doubt they are gonna break away and start playing for ADIDAS… Especially when his mentor LeBron is working on his public image.

Then the Super League is probably still gonna happen as a number of clubs all around Europe will go bust this season, neither Fifa nor Uefa have a plan to deal with that…

Sky is not likely to raise the tv-deal enough for the big clubs so they will look at any proposal that fits into their budget…

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus just declared that they plan to go forward, they stated that UEFA have no legal claim on them and that no penalties or sanctions can be done against the league legally…

I personally think the league is a good idea if a relegation system will be implied…

I think the domestic leagues will become more competitive when you get rid of the super clubs, more balanced with more clubs competing for the title…With more domestic talent coming through…

Im not dismissing the loss, its just that FSG have dealt with it in a way we are not paying huge interest rates like our rivals need to do, so its good.

And it states it there that losses were 46m before tax… the redbird investment covers that easily, it was over 700 million dollars!

I know its to the parent company but they made it into loans for their clubs to cover the losses of the pandemic… low interest loans

Our rivals have been going into the banks, getting crazy interests compared to us…

With City winning the title they are gonna he higher than us in the money league, they will also have gone above Utd for the first time ever but so will we… and I think we can all agree that their growth is pretty artificial compared to us…

Our world based following is much bigger than anyone else besides Utd and according to the money league we will have outgrown them in the next report. ITS A HUGE FEAT!

I had hoped that this would happen but seeing it on paper actually is another thing.

Its like some of the posters here don’t understand that when we are bigger in the money league and about to reap the benefits of the new stands then the club is capable of doing the same deals as our rivals…

We are are a bigger club than Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Utd, the only club bigger with more revenue etc is City and we are just behind them.

That basically means we can afford to do anything our rivals can do… If they can do a a deal for 150 million then so can we because our club is literally a bigger, more wealthier club and according to the leading experts on the world football economy we also have more potential to grow…

“If we sign Mbappe for example we gain more royalties than anyone else in shirt sales”

This idea that players pay for themselves via shirt sales is nothing more than a myth. It is absolutely not true and MBappe with his Nike connections, doesn’t change this.

You keep going back to this Nike/Lebron stuff man, why? They do not need MBappe -> LFC to make as much money as they want. MBappe could get paid a lot more at another club than at LFC. Oh Nike do our shirts, like they do with 100s of other clubs but that means he’s coming to us? There is a term for this type of mental gymnastics but the name slips my mind. It’s generally linked to conspiracy theories, as people see links where there are none.

Bingo, please understand that we can’t afford MBappe.

As for the SL, I am kinda in favour of it but ya, would absolutely need promotion/relegation. I won’t say that was my only issue with it, as I love the PL and would miss it dearly but it is my main problem with such a move.

I have never liked the American sports format. I think it’s kinda funny and maybe even ironic, that such a fundamentally capitalist, anti-communist country would have their bread and butter sports systems, structured in such an anti-competitive manner. It’s almost like they were drawn up by Communists.
