Nunez or Osimhen, don’t think Haaland wants to come here and rumours are that Barca are interested in Isak so can’t see him coming to England if that’s the case. Benfica are only third in Portugal at the moment so will only have Europa League same as us potentially so he’d probably happily move here and get paid more to play in the same competition. Napoli are pushing against Milan and Inter in Italy so he’ll probably want to stay there if he’s getting CL football. I don’t think Haaland is, or ever was, seriously interested in coming here, especially given his father played for Citeh. I still think we missed a massive trick in Vlahovic but what’s done is done, no point crying over spilt milk as they say.
February 11, 2022 at 2:02 pm #2053181Agree about Vlahovic and about Haaland unfortunately, he’s a fucking monster but, as you say, a blue cunt. Not convinced about Isak, not seen enough of Osimhen or Nunez. What about the kid Ekitike at Reims?
February 11, 2022 at 4:59 pm #2053285Ekitike is a bit young, big fish small pond and all that, definitely one to consider but both Nunez and Osimhen have CL experience which will be invaluable if we make the CL next season, even if we’re the EL, we need someone to put the ball in the net.
February 12, 2022 at 9:04 am #2053405Loving how no-one is in for Pogba and the club seem to be telling him that he’ll have to take a pay cut. Obviously any club who wants to sign him are saying the same thing, “You’re not worth what your being paid!”
February 12, 2022 at 10:05 am #2053421He’s clearly not killy, but then none of them are mate. At least he’s occasionally worth a watch, which is more than can be said for most of the run of the mill 100k a week brigade 😂😂
February 13, 2022 at 12:48 pm #2053883Killyboy the reason there is no noise around Pogba is because Madrid have him tied up just like they do Mbappe. If our club had any brains they would be looking for top players who’s contracts are running out. Oh wait Zakaria a midfielder was available for 7million but went to Juve. Now were hearing Arnold use Sir Alex favourite line no value in the market. Were in deep shit with these clowns in charge. We came out of the January transfer window with a weaker squad.
February 13, 2022 at 4:02 pm #2054037Newcastle staying up and spending a billion pounds this summer like some sort of Championship Manager virgin is going to be great to watch!
February 13, 2022 at 8:28 pm #2054131Do you guys rate Calvert-Lewin?
I think he’s good and correct profile but maybe a level below what we should be aiming forSide note, Kamara showing his versatility by playing at CB for Marseille tonight. Bringing him in on a free transfer as replacement for Matic this summer should be a no brainer
February 13, 2022 at 9:07 pm #2054140@homerjay540, no brainer means it’s too intelligent for the likes of United to pull off so you can forget it happening mate 😉
Re DCL, I called on us to get him 2 seasons ago before he blew up at the beginning of that season for Everton, unfortunately a bit late now. Said the same thing about Abraham before Roma snapped him up… United don’t do smart transfers though, our transfer intelligence goes along the lines of buying Bale for 25m at the end of this season.
February 13, 2022 at 10:03 pm #2054147A few years ago yeah we probably would have been looking at Bale. The good thing from RR’s most recent PMC was that he said it’s obvious we need a top YOUNG striker this summer
I’ve got a feeling Ronaldo will be off this summer too. Not likely Greenwood will be back and we all want Martial sold. We may well need 2x CF’sFebruary 21, 2022 at 12:56 pm #2057430Anybody been following Ajax lately? If we do sign ten Hag, surely we’ll sign at least one player from Ajax as they are unashamedly a selling club
Today’s reports suggest Antony, young Brazilian left footed right winger
Gravenberch seems to be a beast of a CM but is represented by Mino Raiola
Their CB’s both look very good but neither of them are particularly tall. That’s fine in Europe but think they would get found out playing in the PL
Which Ajax youngsters are you guys keeping an eye on?
February 22, 2022 at 7:41 pm #2057962Sancho looks much more comfortable on the left wing. Sell Martial and try again to bring in a right winger? Antony (21), Pablo Neto (also 21) and Raphinha (25) should all be on our shortlist
Who else should be considered?Edit… Dybala is another left footer who plays off the right and will be available on a free transfer. I wouldn’t go near him. Good player but never reached his potential and at 28 he has probably peaked
February 22, 2022 at 7:53 pm #2057966Who is the Lille striker Jonathan David? All tge top clubs are watching him.
February 22, 2022 at 8:23 pm #2057977Canadian. It’s Renato Sanches that’s standing out for me though. Looks back to his best.
February 22, 2022 at 8:26 pm #2057981Have been hearing about him for couple years now. Think he’s still probably a couple years off being ready to move to us as starting CF. Seems to be more of a forward than an out and out striker if that makes sense but happy to he corrected by somebody who’s followed him
February 22, 2022 at 8:26 pm #2057982Said that a good while ago mate. Think the talk was £15M to Arsenal which i thought was definitely worth a punt
February 22, 2022 at 9:14 pm #2057997Lille spent £24 million on him less than 2 years ago. He has a long contract. He’d probably cost a good 40 or 50 million this summer
February 22, 2022 at 9:34 pm #2058009Didn’t realise they paid 25M euro for him a few years ago. Probably why he never went to Arsenal. Still wouldn’t pay more than £30M for him.
Some smash and grab job from Chelsea.
February 22, 2022 at 9:48 pm #2058013I’d take him for 30 mill. Quick, runs with the ball, moves it quickly and never misplaced a pass. Looks leaner than when he was carrying a bit of puppy fat. And he’s not got much to play with at Lille tbh.
February 23, 2022 at 12:41 am #2058043With Cavani definitely off and CR7 definitely off if we miss out on top 4/ possibly off even if we make top 4, I don’t think we can take a punt on a striker. We need to bring in somebody we know will hit the ground running. Something tells me whatever happens Calvert-Lewin will be our fall back option
