yorkie-I agree fella,we are stuck with DDG,Maguire and a few more players for a cple of years @ least.
Sympathy-Keep the virus you say?Are you mental? He is just about the only player we could get something for,the rest are a burden, even for Chinese teams.Who in their right mind would even contemplate paying anything for utterly garbage shite like Mata,Matic,Sanchez,Rojo?? Even kids know that United are desperate to sell & buy,so nobody would pay any decent money for our deadwood.

@redblood – he can still offer something to the team when fit and, considering how sh*t all our other signings have been down the line, there’s absolutely no guarantee a replacement will do the business. Yes he may want out but then again I reckon 80%+ of the team want out too.

Doubt we’ll get higher than 120m for him which will buy us a replacement like SMS but won’t leave much left over for other players – is it worth it? I don’t know, but from my side, if he stays here it wouldn’t be the worst thing ever.

    Cheers

@Sympathy – Pogba just has to go mate, he is a rotten apple in that dressing room and despite his obvious talent he hasn’t exactly set the world alight consistently over the 3 years plus that he’s been at OT, even when his ‘mind’ was 100% on the job.

It’s all about his next move and his profile, that is all he and Raiola are interested in. He doesn’t give a flying fuck for the shirt, the fans, his teammates or Ole, who has backed him 100% throughout. Not only that, the club has to be fully cognizant of his contractual situation, if we don’t get rid of him this summer he will be able to hang around like a bad smell until June 2022 and then walk away for nothing, that just cannot be allowed to happen.

Sympathy-He simply has got to go,like @blacky says,he is a rotten apple and cannot be allowed to feel like he is bigger than the club.We have to follow the Liverpool model, signing team players, not egoistical cunts like Pogba,Martial. We have Fernandes now,so Pogba going should allow us to sign 2 players in the mould of Soumare and/or an SMS/D.v.d.Beek.We have Fred improving all the time and worth keeping, and MCT a very uselful squad player

    #1824564

@redblood and @blacky – not debating with you about the effort and heart about Pogba, agree with you completely, but from my side I think the following:

    – We sell Pogba, great! we’ve got 120m in the bank.
    – We go out and sign someone like SMS or Van De Beek for some 80-100m and offer them crazy wages around the 200K on a long-term contract – OK no problem.
    – They come in and, like pretty much everyone before them since 2014, they stink the place out.
    – We are then stuck with players who are worth less than we paid for them, have them on a long-term contract and they want out from the get go.

Has Pogba been consistently great? Not at all. BUT he has been decent and by far our best outfield player for the most part. He has also shown at the beginning of Ole’s tenure that, when he’s on form, he can lead this team to successful results. The big question is WHEN. Another thing is that he was part of the youth team so has a bit more connection to the club then someone like Di Maria or Lukaku had or players like SMS or Van De Beek would.

And @redblood, on the 80%+, yes they want to stick around for the wage but how many of them want to actually play for the team? For me, a players wanting out and a player staying just for the wage and to sit on the bench and not put in a shift (Darmian, Rojo, etc.) are the same thing.

Sympathy-Positive results?Like close to 50 pnts behind Liverpool, you mean? But just because Pogba wants to leave and whoever comea in might turn out the same,we cannot keep players who dont give a fuck about the club,or stop trying to improve. We cannot build our team around one player,we need team players, not the likes of Pogba,Shaw,Martial.Just look @ Liverpool, see how they have signed players nobody thought of,turned em into world class, and are dominating Europe & the PL.

Some of us have been saying it for years,a massive clearout of unwanted, rubbish, over the hill, mercenaries, stinking out the place.Instead of getting rid of all that pile of shite, the club kept handing new contracts to these very same players, including DDG,a player that should have been sold a cple years back.

As above, Pogba is a fucking virus. Just a shame the Glazers never listened to Ferguson re him and Raiola
Obviously it’s all about getting as much cash as possible so the club has to play the game but he and Sanchez out this summer needs to be the priority

Pogba simply hasn’t performed. He should be our talisman but is only a flash in the pan youtube footballer who’ll never fulfill his potential. His biggest problem, though, is Raiola – who is the reason I’m glad we stayed away from Haaland. Haaland will leave Dortmund after next season for a ridiculously low fee because his next move from Salzburg was always going to be short-term. He and Raiola have their eyes on Real Madrid, Juventus or Man City, where Haaland could replace Aguero while following in his father’s footsteps. Then he’ll be gone again in 3 or 4 years to another big club while Raiola and his wallet get fatter.

I said something similar about Pogba when he originally left United and so far, I’ve managed to be pretty accurate in predicting his path. Raiola is always angling for the next big move for his most precious clients and while Pogba undoubtedly has/had talent, he simply isn’t all that because of his over-inflated ego and rotten attitude.

@Sympathy – There is absolutely zero mileage in keeping a bad influence like Pogba who continually keeps saying he wants out, AND is in the process of running down his contract at the club. Plus he’s stealing 300k per week for tossing it off most weeks. He just has to go mate, no other scenario makes sense.

Think we have an option to extend his contract for a year. So he’ll either be sold or will sign a new contract.

Pogba has a cracked toe nail and will be out until after fashion week at least but possibly another 12 weeks after that.

I don’t think Ole will let him go. Certainly not easily. He’ll be thinking a midfield of Pogba and Fernandes will be a force to be reckoned with – with Fred or Scott behind them protecting slabhead and the suede!
A striker and a right winger to go with Rashford on the left and we’re a fuck load better than the team with Pereira, Lingard and Mata in it.

If Pogba goes it’ll be for a hive transfer I reckon.

@happy – Either Ole won’t still be here, or he won’t have a say in the matter anyway because the money men will decide, and he is just a gimp stooge.
There is absolutely zero value in keeping a problem player who’d rather be somewhere else and continually says so via the press and his scumbag agent, even if it was Ronaldo, Messi, or George Best back in the day.
Let’s be honest here mate, Pogba isn’t fit to lace any of those guys boots in a million years and would be no great loss, simple as that.

happy, no matter how good you and Pogba think he is, he will never be the talisman we need. His attitude stinks and has also absolutely no desire to be here (I kind of understand that, tbh). How many games has he actually performed to the standard expected, considering the hype, his wages and transfer fee. He had that ONE game against City where he scored two and was instrumental in turning an almost certain defeat into an unexpected win but he has an alarming tendency to go missing in big games.

Of course, Pogba’s had his share of “good games” but I’m at loss trying to remember where his performances made me stand up and say wow. He was good when Ole first took over – although that was probably down to him wanting to show how everything was Jose’s fault before – but it was still the lot less talented Ander Herrera who was taking those games by the scruff of the neck so Pogba could focus on the fancy work.

That’s how he plays for France. Kante and Matuidi – hell, even Giroud dropping into midfield – do all the dirty work for him so he can come up with the odd youtube moment. He tends to have at least 1 or 2 of those every game but other than that, there isn’t much end product, absolutely no desire and no indication of him being as good as he thinks he is. It’s frustrating, I know, because he could and should be head and shoulders above everyone else but when the head isn’t in the right place, there is nothing to separate him from anyone else.

Not only does it feel like we’re playing with 10 men for 95% of matches he takes part of – him being allowed to stink the place out, behave as he feels fit on and off the pitch, throwing people around him under the bus etc. also sends a dangerous message to young and impressionable players. The club must take a stand – no one is bigger than United and if someone doesn’t want to pull his weight, he has no place being here. The likes of Pogba and Neymar represent everything that’s wrong with football today and I, for one, don’t want this guy as a part of my club – just as he doesn’t want to be part of this club and will need to go – in fact, he should have stayed gone when he originally left.

The problem is that we are faced with owners whose priority is profit and much of that comes from commercial income and keeping Pogba will help generate alot of that. The club stinks as much as Pogba’s attitude. I’m all for selling the creep but I suspect we will offer him a bumper new contract in the hope of keeping him? Until we get rid of the likes of Pogba and Martial, I doubt much will improve on the field.
