of all our games , this will be the turning point .
if we cant beat sunderland , that is the end .
garde is too cautious , we have to go for a win .
he MUST start traore , and probably grealish , with gestede .
lescott can play left back , and bacuna defensive mid with veretout and gana.
well we didnt , confirming certain relegation , with a weak manager , ramshackle team , and dismal owners .
did garde start traore ? no ignoring a gift .
did he give kozak pitch time to get up to speed ? no , another gift , as gestede has shown himself to be a very slow plodder .
another silly goal gets us on the back foot again , richards is not a very bright center back .
bacuna did well except for another silly mistake leading to the final nail .
traore makes lots of mistakes , but is a game winner .
gill had a very poor game except for his goal .
grealish was nothing again , cant see clubs queing up for him now .
cisshoko brought some much needed solidity , why wasnt he recalled sooner – to save a bit of cash ???
no matter now , a win was essential , this match clearly showed which team wanted it more .
Can’t see any way you can beat the drop now I’m sorry to say. You need a “Big Sam” type of manager and players with more bottle than some of your current squad. Hope I’m wrong
Big Sam has hardly done wonders at Sunderland! They had just lost 4 in row until they beat us.. and yet again we were undone by individual mistakes when for most game we were better team.
Jackdaw, Why is our manager weak? Personally I think he is doing all he can with a weak squad.. Kozak is not the answer!
You bizzarly think Guzan is top class! I can assure you this is not a sentiment agreed by any Villa fans I know.. he is a liability and breeding such uncertainty that all the defence have no confidence.. the second sunderland goal was shocking by him! Id be dissapointed if the U10 keeper of the team I coach conceded a goal like this at the near post.. if there is a worst keepr in league then I don’t know who it is! Keepers need to do more than pull off a reaction save every now and then.. his inability to kick a ball is also putting our defence under a lot of pressure.. if we get a new keeper then I think we will look a lot lot stronger defensively.. of course he is not the sole reason we are where we are but in my opinion a huge contributing factor.. Sherwodd tried to bring in Begovic for £10 mil, why decided to not sign another keeper once he joined Chelsea I will never know.. tbh id put Bunn there against Wycombe and if he does ok keep him there.. I think this is what will happen..
its all to little too late, but I hope we go down with a fight from her on in!I will state now that no other team in the Premiership will concede 3 goals by Sunderland – goes to show how bad the defense is. can someone explain to me how you cannot throw the ball to a team mate from a throw in – even 7 year olds do not make such basic errors. Also why are they not putting in a shift – the lowest ground covered per match/ player in the league. Even if you are not the most talented player you should still be putting in a shift
i think player morale must be at an all time low , and they know they have half a season to get through , with little prospect of a win , and very likely some bad beatings .
agree confidence is as low as posssible and we have a losing mentality.. we keep losing to individual mistakes not a general tactic or method of play.. the 3goals against sunderalnd were embarrasing. sunderland should be very worried too,, they only won because we gifted them 3 goals..
Mort WOW! really sticking your neck out there, so you think the team second bottom of league wont score 3 goals in a game apart form against a team that is bottom.. ?a very bold statement in deed, almost as crazy as peopel thinking Leicester might finish top half!
