    Awful, agreed.
Just waiting for someone to call for Mata’s head now to complete our usual routine.

To be honest I’m in no mood for f ing jokes!

Having witnessed one for 90mins. Let’s keep the focus on today’s match! And less on he said she said!

Diabolical display. Too many players were shite to even attempt to anlyse that! Good to see the usual suspects using a piss poor display to dig out there usual pet hates. About as predictable as the fucking rain in Manchester and equally as boring!

JOse congratulates the players and clearly aims for the ref! Yes the ref was bent but f ing hell Jose you need to rip into the team for that horror showing first and foremost!

Well gents there we have it,any of you wet dreamers out there who seriously still want to insist that this shower of wasters are anything other than bang average at best need to prepare yourselves for an imminent visit from the men in white coats because that was fucking atrocious all over the park tonight. You could dig out any outfield player you want and nobody could disagree because they were all an embarrassment to the shirt other than Rashford, who at least looked a threat with very little support from either his teammates or protection from the most woeful referee since Martin Atkinson rocked up to ruin all our lives.
What I will say though is that I would rather play with a 14 yr old kid than gave that useless, gutless shithouse Darmian one single more minute wearing our shirt because he is just beyond bad.Carrick was back to his Mavis Riley ‘best’ and resembled a 50 yr old rather than a 35 yr old,Herrera did absolutely fuck all,Smalling is fast playing himself out of the club,Rojo was back to being a total nightmare,Jones back to being an oafish farm labourer and Lingard well was just Lingard,ie totally fucking useless as per usual.
Still a massive rebuild job required with glaring weaknesses in every single outfield department be it full back, centre back, midfield, wingers or forwards, simple as that.

That was horrible to watch. Only slight consolidation is that we’ve got Mkhitaryan to come back into the team. As has been said above, need to get Martial and Shaw back into contention asap.

What a depressing performance – what a complete waste of my time watching such rubbish.
Did I learn anything from seeing today’s game? Not really – all it did was reinforce two opinions I’ve had for a long time.
Firstly that UTD’s MF needs a complete change. A replacement for Carrick and another mobile MF urgently wanted – I hope JM has two players lined up for summer signings.
Secondly that Zlatan must NOT be given another contract. All he’s doing is keeping Rashford and Martial from playing together and developing a strong playing relationship. If possible I’d like to see Zlatan shown the door at the end of the season. In the meantime he needs a long rest. Drop him for the next two games and play Rashford and Martial.
There is an immediate need for a quality CB in fact it’s surprising how well Jones and Rojo have done during the past two months – but that does NOT mean they are good enough. They are not.

@nath44 – Glad to see a few are starting to see Herrera for what he is. As I’ve said many times on here, apart from his backwards passing ability, all that he has going for him is tenacity and nothing else.

@concernedfan. Calm down fella. There aren’t any conclusions to be made from yesterday.

We’re in the final – job done. It’s clear we were in cruise control. If we perform like that in the league with Martial, Mkhitaryan, Mata, Valencia, and Bailly coming back then we will have reason for worry.

The squad’s deficiencies are known and will be addressed in the summer. Relax mate.

I’ll have to say, Southampton has nothing to fear watching our lot last night.

Why are people so outraged at the performance. I recall everybody here saying the result matters and the result is we made the final. Its no surprise the players weren’t motivate, taking a 2 goal advantage to Hull.

@Mac – Spoken like a man who didn’t waste a mind numbing hour and a half of his life watching such tripe mate!.Of course you are right in the grand scheme of things, but my oh my last night was as bad as it can get and it was mainly down to a ‘couldn’t give a flying fuck’ attitude from almost the entire team on the night, that’s the unforgivable part.

@hatters – Can’t disagree mate, any conclusions have hopefully already been made and last night would merely have rubber stamped most of them.Fuck me though,we really have got still got some god awful players stealing a very lucrative living from the club and I just can’t wait to see the back of these fuckers!.

Jose seems to be catching Wengeritis, just heard his post match interview, he didnt see the first goal and so United are still unbeaten….

@steveosnakeeye. Let’s hope it was just a blip from Jose. We should keep a close eye on him for other symptoms of Wengeritis. If, for example, he tells us he nearly signed Messi in the next presser we need to terminate his contract immediately! Hehehe.

@blacky – Haha, true I did not watch it for obvious reasons. My post was intended as a swipe at the posters who in the past have argued that performance doesn’t matter just so long as we get the result. I did not put enough sarcasm into my post.

My personal view is performance is important because (as you infer) entertaining the spectator should be a objective. That said, I can understand and accept a strategic approach in game so as to not tire players or risk injury. But that’s when the manager picks players who have something to prove who will put in a shift.

And is it too much to expect that players play because they enjoy the game. Busby would have said go out and enjoy yourselves and the likes of Bestie would run rings around them just for fun.

PS – Personally am dreading the final. We will doubtless struggle to win then see the players jumping around in celebration as if they won the CL. A club United’s size and stature should field second stringers in all games in mickey mouse competitions.

Didn’t see the match last night. Bottom line is we did enough (just) to progress. Disappointing that we appeared to coast through the game which could have cost us. I doubt we would have played with that intensity if we didn’t take a 2-0 lead into the game.

Also disappointed that some of the fringe players didn’t get enough serious game time yesterday. Hopefully they will on Sunday against the Pie Eaters. I want to see players like Shaw, Fosu-Mensah, Blind, Martial, Rashford play and players like Pogba given a rest (for rest read withdrawn and given a serious grilling over his attitude).

Comfortably our worst performance of the season mac but that doesn’t worry me, performances are a world away from the dross under van gaal and Moyes. And how can you dread a cup final you miserable bugger?

“Woke up his morning feeling fine…”
