Hi guys, it’s Si Wilkes, the old TEAMtalk Editor who ran the site from 2001-2014…I’m now head of editorial operations for Ole Media Group and we run TT from our Leeds office. We’d been wanting to make the sites work on mobiles and ipads for many, many years while we were at Sky Sports, but never got the green light.
We’ve had some teething problems but the site finally looks good on mobile devices, which is amazing and makes it so much easier.
How are we all feeling about Sat’s game v Palace?

Welcome back Si. Been a long few weeks without Your Say I must admit. Interesting to hear your views regards TP’s rule thus far. As regards Saturday’s game I fear the worst, they will murder us down the wings, 0-0 at best I fear.October 1, 2015 at 11:03 pm #650938
First of all what a joy it is to be able to do this on my iPhone mate! Over 70% of Internet use is on phones these days so we had to drag TT into the digital world and hopefully you’ll all enjoy.
Now then Pulis – I have to admit I bloody love the guy.
I absolutely loved the Megson era so don’t mind direct football with an emphasis on not conceding goals.
I didn’t like Pulis and his early Stoke style – but I think he has evolved as a manager and likes to have pace and power in his teams now.
He has a fantastic knack of attracting top players to somewhat unattractive clubs / and carries out media duties with great care and professionalism – so long may he continue at our wonderful club.
Your thoughts?October 2, 2015 at 6:10 pm #652363
Mmmm, difference of opinions regards TP I’m afraid Si. Agree totally ref the Megson era, he dragged us out the doldrums literally and he will forever be a God in my eyes, Barnsley away and Igors penalty will forever be a truly outstanding memory. But that was that era and we have now progressed in my eyes to produce a better quality and more entertaining style of footy, under TP I’m afraid this will never come to fruition. Don’t get me wrong u have to be defensively sound in this league but u also have to be offensive too, we have rarely if ever looked that way bar a couple of games in nearly 12 months. We are better than what we show in entertainment terms so I’m afraid for me the sooner he’s gone the better. Shoot me down.October 3, 2015 at 8:24 am #652774
Ronnies Ok I’m with you there! Personally u think that he was brought in just to ensure we stay up for next years Jackpot! I appreciate that we are now a difficult team to break down and ignoring the Everton game defensively sound, we have rarely been entertaining to watch. Here’s the question though, who out there would you get to replace him?October 3, 2015 at 8:30 am #652783
I will freely admit that you guys are in a much better position to judge Pulis as being in Leeds I really don’t get to see many live 90-minute games, rather match of the day highlights and the odd Sky live game when we’re on.
I liked our summer transfer business and we’ve got some very good players in our squad thanks to Pulis, so I think all round there’s no one I’d replace him with right now…it could be so much worse! Look st Sunderland and Newcastle.
Pulis gives the whole club stability on and off the pitch, so I’m a big fan.
Boing boing! SiOctober 3, 2015 at 8:55 am #652801
That’s a good question Jeeve, nout comes to mind but there are candidates out there, look at Watford and Leister they both replaced in the summer with what seem at the moment with astute managers. Don’t get me wrong TP has steadied the ship and brought calm to what seemed stormy seas and I do respect his loyalty and the way he handles the media but he’s limited at this level in other than stopping us from losing. If I’m honest to replace him at this stage now would be stupid but in the summer I would like to see change.October 3, 2015 at 2:52 pm #653251
Having just watched todays miserable affair my opinion of TP is slowly getting worse. No attempt to have a go at Palace just defending. Brunt was shown up for what he is a midfielder who can’t tackle having to play at left back. Zaha will never have an easier game. If TP is going to play 4 5 1 then put McManaman on the opposite wing to McLean not Saido who wasn’t interested today. A few crosses into the box might give Rondon half a chance cause the service to him today was appalling. If we continue with this style of play I can see us being in the bottom three by Xmas if not before!October 4, 2015 at 12:37 pm #654445
