If you want to mingle about games we can do here. For what it’s worth the Charity Shield is this weekend. Will be strange, the transfer window will be on-going during the footy season.
September 10, 2020 at 11:35 pm #1873232My Predictions for the season:
1 – Man City – Run Away Winners
2 – Liverpool – Tight battle with Chelsea for 2nd
3 – Chelsea – Close run in with Liverpool
4 – Everton – Close run in with Man U
5 – Man U – Close battle with Everton for 4th
6 – Spurs – This one I’m really not sure about, could finish outside the top 10
7 – Wolves – There or there abouts again.
8 – Leicester – Haven’t shown any signs of really strengthening in the key areas for me to warrant any higher
9 – Leeds – Think they will finish top half
10 – Aresenal – Yet again, will continue their path towards irrelevance. Signing Arteta was a big mistake, how they didn’t get or make a play for Ancelotti I have no idea.
11 – Southampton
12 – Newcastle
13 – Burnley
14 – West Ham
15 – Sheff Utd
16 – Palace
17 – Villa
18 – Fulham
19 – Brighton
20 – WBASeptember 12, 2020 at 6:03 pm #1873747Madness at Anfield.
September 14, 2020 at 6:10 pm #1874297W9lves 2 up after 6 minutes.
September 21, 2020 at 6:45 pm #1876694To be honest Chelsea will have a new manager by time the new year comes. Mauricio Pochottino will be the manager of Chelsea. write that to some where. i rarely get wrong for my prediction.
September 26, 2020 at 4:36 pm #1878206Only man utd could get a penalty after the full time whistle. 😂😂😂. Bloody scumbags.
September 27, 2020 at 12:06 am #1878268Just watched MOTD. What an absolute shitshow. VAR in itself is a shitshow. But VAR trying to interpret the new rules, which are a shitshow, is a double shitshow. Just not worth watching any more.
September 27, 2020 at 4:18 pm #1878388The Newcastle penalty following the Dier ‘handball’ is a joke. I thought the Lindelof one against Palace was farcical but Dier was something else.
How they give that but not the handball in the build up to the Chelsea equaliser is anyone’s guess. It was far worse.
September 27, 2020 at 11:48 pm #1878478Lunacy. These people have no feel for the game at all. Small minded self important bureaucrats.
October 18, 2020 at 11:09 pm #1885130Surely as the ref bottled it, Pickford must get a retrospective ban
October 18, 2020 at 11:59 pm #1885131Having just seem motd2, I know the highlights don’t show every VAR decision, but of the ones they did show over the weekend, the decisions were 100% wrong. Please get someone who actually understands football to do the var. Self important and wrong is a bad combination.
October 19, 2020 at 8:01 pm #1885404Kingo, the massive problem with VAR is its accuracy of tolerance. It varies from ground to ground. There is no way that this simple fact can be overlooked. There’s no way that anyone can accurately measure a micron from 50 yards away. VAR is complete and utter bollocks and is killing the essential spontaneity of the game. It should be taken out to the middle of the North Sea and dumped!
Len.October 19, 2020 at 10:29 pm #1885434Oh well Lenoard, there is someone somewhere now who paid £15 to watch WBA 0-0 Burnley
October 24, 2020 at 4:40 pm #1886857Another good point earned against a quality side. That’s 8 pts now from Wolves, Leicester, scummys and citeh in recent weeks. Mickey mousers up next, without VVD and as long as Antonio is fit I fancy us to get something. Enjoy another top goal from us on of motd tonight chaps!
October 25, 2020 at 4:55 pm #1887225Hammers looking a lot stronger this season Devon. European place?
October 26, 2020 at 11:58 am #1887392No I don’t think so mate. We’ve got quite a decent starting 11 but not too much in reserve. Once injuries and suspensions kick in we may well struggle a bit. Should be a comfortable mid table finish though
October 27, 2020 at 11:02 pm #1887827I’m now rethinking how strong Liverpool are going to be this year.
October 30, 2020 at 9:56 am #1888424Foxy, your final league table prediction is looking pretty good so far, even if it after only half a dozen games. That said I don’t think any team will be run away winners this season. All the so called “bigger clubs” are dropping points. We’ve seen citeh, liverpool, chelsea and the spuds all suffer draws and defeats in recent weeks. Hopefully for us Antonio will be fit to play tomorrow. If he does then the mickey mousers defence had better be on their game. I fancy us to nick something.
October 30, 2020 at 10:07 am #1888434Just read Antonio is out for a few weeks. Bummer! Makes tomorrows game a bit more difficult. We’ll see.
November 1, 2020 at 11:20 am #1888862Disappointed to come away from Anfield yesterday, with nothing to show for a great defensive effort. We were never going to go there and play open expansive football, you play within your means. I can always live with losing a game, especially to such a good team but I do get frustrated when I see such soft decisions awarded which have a big impact on the final outcome, such as the “penalty” given to salah. Masuaku should have known better than to go within 6 feet of the guy once he gets into the penalty area, the slightest breath on his neck and the prick is going to go down like a sack of spuds. It’s what he does best. Shameful really. Yes he got tapped on the back of his heel, but was that really enough to send him flying through the air in the way that he did?
Also sad to see the passing of the man yoo and England legend Nobby Stiles. Hardly even a mention of this on the man yoo club page on here. Most of them have probably never heard of him RIP Nobby.
