This kind of result was kind of inevitable given that we have been giving some very limp and characterless performances against teams that are struggling for one reason or another. Our luck finally ran out. The Blues turned up for a scrap and we had neither any clue or bottle to deal with it and got a deserved slap as a consequence, not helped in the slightest by a horrendous clanger by Whoopswald in palming a shot back into the danger area in front of goal instead of pushing it away to the side. There was lots of rhubarb after the match from T Cluelessen but I am afraid I could not make head nor tail of what he said; no change there then……

We have had a relatively “easy” run of games of late. Ones where we should win IF we were to put up any sort of showing for the season. The truth of the matter is that whilst we luckily gathered points there was no indication at all of any gap in class or superiority. Cream rises to the top they say but sadly for us all we are still trying to keep away from the dregs at the bottom.

So, there we have it boys and girls – evidence that what we are is a mid-table team at best and hanging about with the also rans. Might as well bring on Nottingham Forest for what I expect to be a hard game and I can’t say I am feeling optimistic about the result.

Still need 3 more points not to worry about “R”!

    Keep the Faith. WAL.

I wish you all a Happy, prosperous and peaceful New Year.

There may be a red mist hanging over Elland Road come late tomorrow? Forest have sacked their manager and we know, more often than not, what means.
