But you would keep them open and allow the virus to spread elsewhere and also return once it gets under control.
Make no mistake Bingo, this virus is very serious and will kill many more thousands upon thousands of people everywhere. Closing all borders to reduce the spread of it makes perfect sense to me under these extenuating circumstances. Forget Johnson and Trump. They are also-rans in this race against time. All forward thinking countries are already 2 furlongs ahead of those two backward donkeys!
Apparently the virus has already spread to parts of Africa, so they will have to do the same as us, and that means self isolate and inevitably close their borders until this virulent virus is brought under control.
Sit tight, keep your distance and regularly scrub your hands.
It’ll all eventually blow over and the pubs will open again…

You only have to look to one of the richest man on the planet, Bill Gates to see it for yourself, he has been warning nations about this for few years now and there have been plenty more like him.
Fact of the matter is that the population are sheep that are conditioned into not having a single independent thought. Everybody just laps up what the media tells them to, conditioned by fear into thinking the Russians are taking over, or the Chinese or that the big bad terrorist is out to get you. That stripped enough rights from you, now its the killer blow and your world will never recover.

Come off it Bingo. Bill Gates is an extremely intelligent man, but even he was not alluding to or even aware of Covid 19 ten years ago, unless he had a crystal ball the size of Jupiter!
You are starting to come over rather condescending in your appraisal of our people in my opinion and it is unwarranted. Corona is killing people left, right and centre. Not only in the UK but all over our planet and governments everywhere are desperately trying to deal and cope with the consequences in the best way they see fit. Some better than others.
Apart from Trump, Putin and China there is no blame game and your agenda is flawed.
People everywhere need to adhere to sensible advice given in their given country. If not, make no mistake, this virus will snow-ball!Of course people in the know are also well aware of other pandemic risks i.e. viral hemorrhagic fever, Zika virus, antibiotic resistance etc. but thankfully they are not active at present.
