City are like us, they will step up the pressure. That said, this couldnt be going much better, so far.

but ya, dont speak too soon my friend 😛 you’re half way to being correct in a semi-legendary manner though, that’s something.

obviously, I’m hoping that city collapse because GD is still going to be near impossible to over-come but wow, just lose the 3 points and we’ll see.

Mak, of course city can step up in the 2nd half and score 3 but i cant see them not conceding again if they go all out attack. An in form bowen antonio n co. against fernandinho and zinchenko is a mismatch.

About the goal difference. Its not beyond us to score 4 or 5 against soton.

A draw isn’t any different than a defeat. Making up that goal difference was always going to be a tall order and not something easily achievable given the need to rest some tired legs. Realistically, we would still need Stevie to take something off them next weekend either way. No rational Liverpool fan blames him for that slip but he’s admitted that it weighed heavily on him for years. He might not get a better opportunity to right that wrong and finally bring home the PL trophy for us. Come on Stevie G!

I just don’t see Villa going to Manchester and coming away with anything.

So now the only way we can win the title is if City don’t beat Villa, and we win both our games. And this is Villa, who play on Thursday, thus giving the fresh City an even better chance.

A BIG decision has to be made now, as to whether we should focus solely on the CL now, instead of chasing the league because it’s out of our hands.

For me, I say that we aim to win both games, and forget about what City do. But, as we are unlikely to win the league, I would rotate the squad extensively for the Southampton game but still go for the win, starting most of the following players, Tsimikas, Gomez, Milner, Jones, Ox, Firmino, Origi.

Let’s just worry about beating Soton and deal with the rest later. I ain’t giving up till the Fat Lady sings.

Klopp must use a strong team against Smpton and probably Wolves.
Of course City has great advantage.
Even if City had lost there had not been any difference since City has better
    goal average than we have.
    God owes us something TWICE!!!

I dont see villa getting anything at city. Even with fernandinho in defence.

Of course it’s not over, for example a City player could get sent off, changing the game completely. But being totally unemotional here, Villa have only beaten City once, and drawn once, in 20 league games since City were taken over in 2008. Plus they play on Thursday, so will not be fresh.

All we can do is beat Southampton on Tuesday first, and take it from there.

We’ll be resting/rotating regardless on Tue night. We have a handful of lads who are carrying knocks of various seriousness and we have a few lads who played 120+mins of football yesterday.

The likes of Firmino, Jota, Gomez, Tsimikas, Matip, Milner etc will likely start against Southampton.

Now at the very least we have to try taking it to the last game of the season after that whatever happens happens let’s give them a scare at the very least. Villa could get a draw you never know.
