JC – One of my Argentine ex-teammate’s father used to call me Suker because when I played up front I’d get heavily stuck in whilst scoring goals. I never knew of the player until he told me I reminded him of him, I thought it was an insult at first lol.

lol, yeah Suker is a legend.

Scored a lot of famous goals, he spent a while at Real Madrid where he was main freekick taker and I’ve even seen him score direct from a corner. Hardly ever saw him score an ugly goal. And with striking ability like that, why would you.

Someone told me I played like Steve Sidwell a couple of years ago. I took it as an insult, and so did he

Ruud was more than just a poacher. He held up play. Good at the touch game. But he was not silky or skillful or could spot a pass like Henry

I think I’ve mentioned this before. Aguero for me is not a Henry. Suarez. Shearer level striker. Something missing.

Have to disagree, Ruuds whole game was being in the right place at the right time. He had a hold play game to him, but it was never as good as Bergkamp, Cantona or Zlatan.

Aguero is quality IMO, I would say Suarez is better than him today, but I look in to Suarez only having 1 good season in the PL, whilst Aguero has had 4.

Bingo, great hat trick, but again, could he have scored a goal like Costa did v Palace the other day? The simple answer is no. Only a select few could, like Shearer and Drogba. The third goal in the Suarez hat trick he was under very little to no defensive pressure, he was more showing the art of evading your marker, not sheer aerial strength and prowess, which I believe is a weakness of his. Granted, for his size, he scored a lot of headers, but mostly they were the result of clever skills to lose his man, which is another skill altogether. There aren’t many players the league has ever seen though that could score the first goal he got in that WBA game.

Rooney ruud Sutton perhaps crouch could easily have scored such a header. Suarez and Torres as well. Just my opinion

Giroud header against United was more difficult IMO.

CM, you mean the one where Phil Jones kindly got down on his knees to provide Giroud with a step ladder?

Don’t get me wrong CM, I do think Giroud’s header was better than the Costa one, but that was not my point. My point was, Suarez couldn’t score that goal, because he doesn’t have the same physical presence in the air as Costa. Costa is just as much a threat in the air as he is with the ball on the ground for centre backs. He can match them pound for pound with outmuscling them, just like Shearer and Drogba did

Borini and Bendtner for me get the award for strikers who think they are shit hot but in fact are without the hotness.

I think Borini is the most complete striker that the PL has seen in recent years.

JC, Davor Suker was a brilliant little player and one of my favourites at his short time at Arsenal, loved the song we had for him too
