Glad it’s been announced but under no illusions that it is a massive gamble. Zero guarantees. The summer rebuild will be more important. Will be interesting to see if he brings a couple of that Ajax team with him.
I’m glad thats been announced and I am glad its him and not POCH.
I just hope the club really back him, accept that the club has made huge mistakes and try and recitfy them. Getting rid of the scouts is a good start and changing the coaching team will be another.
The thought of Lingard, Pogba, Matic, Cavani and Mata leaving is a breath of fresh air I hope a few others follow like Phil Jones.
I also hope the summer brings decent new signings that are signed for a proper system rather than name and that a couple of youth players make the jump in to the first team squad proper.
Anyway we have been here before I just hope that the depths of our decline should hopefully mean this is a proper new dawn.
Yep, good to have certainty. I’m with N1xer though, not sure he’s up to it but then, I wasn’t sure about Poch either. I’d still have leant towards a current PL manager, Rodgers or even Potter. Anyway, it’s done and you know what, I really hope they’re forced into scouting out some young, hungry, athletic, talented gems rather than flushing more money on overrated ‘stars’.
There are still the problems of ownership, the hierarchy and token ex players like Fletcher by the way. Until that’s sorted…

Wonderful news. Time to erase the rotten things at the club and i´m quite sure RR and ETH are capable of rebuilding. Two three windows and we will be a top 3 team in PL.
Its all about finding the right players and get rid of the sulky mob in the dressingroom. ETH wont be satisfied unless 10 players are out in the first window.

Even at the lower end of recruitment, you usually offer the job and when it’s accepted you inform the unsuccessful candidates before announcing the successful one. Seems United forgot to tell Poch. That’s just another symptom of what’s wrong at what is becoming a more and more embarrassing institution.
