So the transfer window is now officially open and with it comes United linked to over a hundred players with values ranging from free transfers to 250m. Obviously 95% of those won’t happen but there are a couple which definitely will. The question is – who are we actually likely to get this summer? And who will we realistically keep hold of? I think we might see the following first team next year:
De Gea
Wan-Bissaka – Lindelof – Maguire – Shaw
Fred – Pogba – Rice
Sancho – Rashford – MartialWan-Bissaka – 40m
Maguire – 50m
Rice – 50m
Sancho – 100mThink we will hold on to both De Gea and Pogba but not sure if we will get the signings we want and may have to go for our more “2nd choice” options without CL.
Would love to see Varane or Umtiti instead of Maguire and Dybala brought in to replace Lukaku to add on to the above but doubt those two will go through.
One player I definitely hope we stay away from is Griezmann, has been a shadow of the player he was 2 years ago.
I’m also warming up to the idea of having Bale PURELY ON LOAN if the fee is 5m as is being suggested.
May 16, 2019 at 9:40 am #1752341Yeah but Bale is a left winger, where will Joel Glazer’s ‘Pele’ Martial play if we get him?
May 16, 2019 at 10:29 am #1752360@killyboye – think Bale can fill in on either wing (even RW cutting in which I believe is where Real Madrid play him most of the time).
To be honest I’m severely running out of patience with Martial – highly talented but the attitude stinks and we’ll need to replace him next season if he doesn’t come good.
Cheers
May 16, 2019 at 10:32 am #1752363Next season? He should be shown the door asap, all the talent in the world is fuck all good if you don’t use it.
May 16, 2019 at 10:34 am #1752364Maguire would NOT be £50m nearer £70m i would say
Sancho has categorically stated he wont move to united….rumours of a Pgba Swaqp for Dybala and Costa though…that would be good business IMHO
May 16, 2019 at 10:36 am #1752365I’d prefer Cancelo and Dybala for Pogba
May 16, 2019 at 11:09 am #1752377Cant wait to see the back of Pogba, and as for DDG-we should take the money whats on offer instead of risking losing him for free in January.Dybala is not a striker,we need someone else to replace Lukaku!
May 16, 2019 at 11:09 am #1752379Buffy- I agree about Maguire,he wont cost £50m,much more I fear.Sancho has indeed said he wont be moving this year, just hope we manage to get rid of Martial-the sulking prick.
As for Fred,is he a fucking Brazilian in the 1st place?May 16, 2019 at 11:16 am #1752383Stay away from Greizman,Bale,James,Rakitic,Perisic and the likes of has beens.
May 16, 2019 at 11:17 am #1752384I would stay away from Umtiti i dont rate him. Maguire, not a fan of.
I would sniff around Porto and Benfica´s Cb´s.
Dybala and Costa sounds good to me but Pepe is highly rated winger, stay away from Bale.
Grimaldi for Shaw. Then we have the problem for a decade now, central midfield,a total rewamp is urgent.
Massive job ahead for Ole.
May 16, 2019 at 12:32 pm #1752423Sympathy – yeah I agree with that. Although I don’t think we’ll sign Wan Bissaka, I think we’ll promote Dalot instead. Tuanzebe will come back into the squad so we’ll probably only sign one centre half to play with Lindelof.
That said Ole has come out to say that a CB signing isn’t a top priority!! 🤔🤷♂️
May 16, 2019 at 2:28 pm #1752479@happyhurling – if our management team think that Dalot, Lindelof, Smalling and Shaw is a defence ready to win the league then we might as well not participate next season. At least 3 of those 4 aren’t good enough for a Top 10 team, let alone a title-winning team.
Wan Bissaka (or Cancelo) and a quality CB are the very least we need; if we had to be brutally honest we should actually replace the entire backline because even Smalling/Lindelof and Shaw aren’t good enough.
Cheers
May 16, 2019 at 2:43 pm #1752488It seems as if we will have to pay Sanchez to leave-more to follow no doubt about it….
May 16, 2019 at 2:46 pm #1752491What a player!
May 16, 2019 at 2:46 pm #1752492I’d pay off his contract and let him go for nothing, or if Inter want him as part of an Icardi swap fine.
May 16, 2019 at 2:50 pm #1752494D.v d Beek should replace Fred! Or somebody like T.Ndombele.
May 16, 2019 at 4:17 pm #1752521Van der Beek defo worth a punt. Glad we’re not going near Sancho. The money they are talking about is crazy for a player after one break out season. We’re not in a position to gamble with signings. We need to start getting players right so we can build something.
May 16, 2019 at 4:24 pm #1752524You can always gamble on young players. If it doesn’t work they have sell on value, a la Depay.
I’d easily risk £100m on Sancho. If he stays at Utd for the rest of his career £100m will be peanuts.
May 16, 2019 at 4:31 pm #1752528I know Pogba’s a cunt but what that so called fan said to him was bang out of order – fucking dickhead! At least he’s world class and has turned in some top performances this season, unlike that other cunt Martial, who clearly just isn’t and hasn’t. I’m afraid we’ll end up getting two fifths of fuck all for him when we finally balloon the cunt.
May 16, 2019 at 4:36 pm #1752529In terms of men in, we need a right back for sure, everyone’s clamouring for a CB, fine but be very careful we don’t get more of what we’ve got. In my opinion we need a left back, but no doubt we’ll stick with the fat player of the season. We need at least 2 midfielders, 3 if Pogba leaves, a world class striker and a very rapid orthodox wide man. And that ladies and gentlemen, is your starter for ten.
