Some entertainment.
April 26, 2020 at 6:08 pm #1841928What’s the betting that today Priti Patel takes credit for their being less violence at football matches.
April 27, 2020 at 5:31 am #1841945With Lockdown in full swing almost all over the world, I thought I’d take this moment to put out a few realistic scenarios that my club Tottenham Hotspur could very well end up facing before next season.
Tanguy Ndombele debate should be resolved soon with the player expressing his desire to move on, possibly to PSG instead of Barcelona as I feel he has issues in terms of adjusting to any other environment outside of France.
Harry Kane is one player I would cash in on if the fee is indeed near the two hundred million pounds being mentioned.
I’m inclined to also giving Jose the chance to “make new mistakes” he was joking about when he was appointed.
Money is not going to be readily available for clubs post COVID-19 so maybe it’s time to cash in on our assets and start a rebuilding process that appeals to Mourinho. He has been successful wherever he went and I am of the opinion that he needs to be given a fair crack at getting the success we all crave as Spurs fans. Let Mourinho do it his way and give him the tools he needs to rebuild us into a Premier League top four club.May 24, 2020 at 11:59 pm #1845650Was just reading the rumours that Arsenal are looking to go in for Coutinho. I would piss myself if that happens. It would basically amount to Arsenal repeating the same mistakes they have been making for the last 15 years!
Arsenal need to start building a squad with grafters and players with backbones. For the last 15 years they have been the softest team int he league who have zero fight in them when the chips are down. They need more leaders in their team. Buying Coutinho would be like repeating the same mistake they made when signing Ozil, a lazy pushover who only delivers against minnows.
If you think about the great Arsenal side of 20 years ago, it was built off the gritty no-nonsense backline of the 90s along with even grittier Vieira in front of them.June 1, 2020 at 9:02 am #1846688Just remember, if you get a call from a track and tracer telling you to quarantine for 14 days, and asking who you have been in contact with, here’s your list;
Klopp
Alisson
Robertson
Trent Alexander
Wijnaldum
Van Dyik
Lovren
Milner
Henderson
Salah
Mane
FirminoJune 2, 2020 at 12:30 am #1846828haha, gold!
June 16, 2020 at 12:59 am #1848907I sometimes wonder what the press and even other club scouts are watching. There is great speculation about many of my team’s star players’ futures. All this talk of Chilwell leaving for 75m has me baffled. You can pretty much ask any Leicester supporter who watches us play and they will all tell you that he has been a massive liability for us this season. If we can get 75m for him we will be laughing. Then today I see Manure are interested in taking Ndidi for 50m! For me, Ndidi is THE most integral player to our club. Many people will probably tell you it is Vardy, but the reality is, without Vardy we have won many games and done well with Iheanacho filling in. On the other hand, Ndidi has proven how integral he is to us. During our new year slump where we lot 5 games in the space of 2 months, he was out injured for that entire period. His first game back, we broke our winless run. Coincidence?
My point being that a 23 year old Chilwell who has been shit for us this season is rated at 75m and yet a 23 year old Ndidi who has not only proven to be integral to our team but has pretty much lead the EPL stats for tackles and the defensive midfield position for the last 3 seasons is valued at 50m. WTF?I wouldn’t be letting him go for anything less than 100m, there is only one other player in our team who I rate as highly and that is Soyuncu
June 18, 2020 at 8:26 am #1849439What happened with Hawk Eye? How did seven goal line camera’s miss the ball going over the line? And why didn’t VAR intervene? Feel sorry for Sheff Utd there.
City looked good last night, I think their patient style of play is more suited to the lack of crowd noise for some reason. They don’t need the crowd to boost them as it’s a more relaxed style of play and not the blood and thunder approach.
I heard that Brighton have appealed Luiz’s red card in the hope he plays against them on Saturday.
June 18, 2020 at 12:34 pm #1849538Alfie, the goal was ruled out due to a new covid rule. The ball has to be at least 2 meters over the line! 😉
June 25, 2020 at 6:33 am #1851365Liverpool on the brink.
June 25, 2020 at 10:18 pm #1851684Congratulations to Liverpool.
June 26, 2020 at 12:21 am #1851735Just wanted to say, on behalf of everyone at Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City Football Club, a big welcome to Liverpool FC on being inducted into the Premier League Winners Club.
June 26, 2020 at 1:14 pm #1851877Cheers lads, very much appreciated.
June 27, 2020 at 3:13 pm #1852100Congratulations to Liverpool, deserved winners of the PL and the best team in the country by a mile. What a shame some of the fans had to act like complete pricks though over the past couple of nights.
June 27, 2020 at 3:25 pm #1852105Devon, unfortunately what we saw from Liverpool fans is prevalent all over the country as we saw this week with the beaches in Bournemouth.
It seems it is mainly the under 40’s who seem to think that they are immortal and immune from Corona virus when they’re not and even if these people who are completely disregarding the social distancing rules don’t get it themselves they could pass it on to other members of their families.
I understand the Liverpool fans desire to celebrate the title it’s been their Holy Grail for so long but the danger hasn’t passed and it’s completely irresponsible whether it is happening in Liverpool or on the beaches of Bournemouth.
Hopefully last night was the end of it for this weekend in Liverpool but I fear for the final home game when the trophy will be presented in an empty Anfield with potentially tens of thousands outside determined to celebrate the moment although I hope I’m wrong.
June 28, 2020 at 11:12 am #1852291I agree 100% nine. Unfortunately some people have been acting like morons all through the lockdown, be it by gathering at beaches, in parks or protesting over something or other. Sadly this minority of Liverpool fans have tarnished somewhat the teams tittle win and it saddens me…and I’m not even a Liverpool fan!
June 28, 2020 at 12:22 pm #1852307Sadly the behaviour of some of these Covidiots have taken the gloss of our title win. On Facebook there are some idiots defending their decision by explaining they waited 30 years. If you had waited 30 years wtf is a few more months. Fucking morons
July 2, 2020 at 11:46 am #1853582Well I gotta be honest I didn’t see that result coming last night. I thought the best we could hope for was maybe scrape a draw. When our “first goal” was disallowed by VAR (don’t tell Lenny) for some obscure reason that I’m not even sure about, and Chelsea got their penalty I had the same old sinking feeling. But to be fair the boys stuck with it and the goal just before half time was crucial. Antonio was a threat all night and young Dec showed once again West Ham has the best Rice in London! If you really want him Frankie then 45m aint going to be anywhere near enough although I hope the owners stick a not for sale sign on him. Onwards and upwards.
July 2, 2020 at 1:42 pm #1853627Congrats Devon. Hope the 3 points help West Ham stay in the PL. Cheers 9’s
July 7, 2020 at 6:04 pm #1855189So when fans are allowed back in to the grounds to watch the footie, we may be banned from singing or shouting! Be just like watching a game at Old Trafford then! 😉
