Getting relegated was bad enough, the crap start didn’t help and now players fighting amongst themselves – apart from dropping down another division, can things get any worse? GR has to get a grip and very quickly, but I am not sure that he knows what to do, or even what he is doing. PL installed some discipline and got the defence playing a lot better than under MH, but all that work seems to have been totally undone. It is no use GR constantly repeating that things have to improve, he has to take the right actions to do just that – it is HIS job to do so. I am starting to dread match days when I should be looking forward. Sort it GR but if you can’t get out so that we can get someone in who can.

I left at the 70 mins point on Wednesday slightly numb and not through the cold misty rain.
We played well for 25 minutes then the goals came and you can see the players confidence is shot and making too many mistakes and no leadership whatsever.
I expected given the summer Rowett would have instilled a way of playing and confidence but sadly as you say it is much worse. It reminded of the 0-7 Bham game 20 years ago.
I have finally watched the highlight package and in hindsight every bit of luck decision wise went Wigan’s way which you get when playing with confidence.
Rowett i will give to the middle/end of October to get the team playing and picking up confidence and points otherwise he will have been a disaster of and appointment and big money spent. Let the loan window close and get out the players who do not want to play or out of his plans. I hope Bauer can be back in the squad soonest even playing wide right.
McClean i hope improves as i feared when he signed his end product and liability tracking back.
You do wonder who the coach is responsible for defending as this area is shocking.

Actually stopped till the end today. At last after 8 months waiting for a home win we have one.
We were far from brilliant but a small step forward and hopefully a little more confidence gained. Five changes and the big change Etebo instead of Fletcher made so much more mobile and Allen had someone to work with.
The early goal helped but the first half we were the better team but a bit nervy. Second half that second goal gave us more confidence then Hull down to ten we played some good stuff and should have added more. So hopefully the start of the turn round.
Etebo and Martina added something to the team even Ryan had a smile on his face. With another new signing Ryan Woods and Clusas to come in to the squad will add legs and flexibility to the middle. Further Berahino did ok in a position behind the forwards some good passes. One swallow does not make a summer but it was good to see.

I cannot get to matches very often and now cannot get a weekly stream on the internet so have to depend on Signal2 for live commentary, so I am unable to comment on individual players. However, your comments seem to confirm what I was hearing about our performance – even though the Signal commentary is worse than our recent performances have been – it is dire. I am considering taking advantage of the Stoke streaming option, but two things need to happen first. One is for the stream to work and the other for the team to start playing well.

Selby – you just need to move abroad to get a cheaper offer to stream the game 🙂

At least a highlight package still on Stoke City+ for free. I have just watched it gives a bit of balance of the game.

Selby – do Radio Stoke not do live commentaries? When in the car after the game they had Liam Lawrence and Sandoz commenting and P&G i thought it did commentary.

On freeview (Radio Stoke) is channel 126 in my area. I rarely listen to their the sport shows at home.

I will give Radio Stoke a try, but I read somewhere that live commentary is not available in the UK – a bit like streaming Prem matches. Last night’s offering from Signal was much better, but is still frustrating not being able to see what is happening.
